I'm a Frogger addict from my youth, but what made that game great doesn't translate to the next-gen era. It doesn't work in 3D. Or at least not here.

The core gameplay is undeniably skill-based, but the frustration from the somewhat obtuse controls and just plain sloppy mechanics prevent it from reaching its full potential.

Does a decent job dealing with odd 3D camera angles for its 2D-styled gameplay. [Feb/Mar 2003, p.89]

It's not hard because of good challenge in good level design, it feels hard because of all the weird physics and unfair deaths. If that wasn't an issue, this game would get a higher review score from me, because I love Frogger games. Expand
