Calling BMX XXX a mature game is probably the biggest joke of them all. Sure, it has a lot of cursing, strippers, and other "adult" stuff, but the game feels like it was written by and for a collection of eighth graders.

The PC version's straightforward nature and bungled multiplayer options make the game a passable experience at best when compared with other first-person shooters for the PC.

Unlike EA's game, Street Hoops is shallow and incredibly dull.

Just doesn't even come close to what the competition offers in terms of gameplay--both in the fundamental mechanics of the game and in its technical aspects.

One of the most robust career modes of any driving game to date.

The controls are far too imprecise, the collision detection is spotty, and the missions can get a little too monotonous.

    • 60 Critic Score
The actual gameplay itself simply doesn't hold up well enough to make any of these modes worthwhile.

It should be able to tide over hunters looking for some off-season adventure on their PS2s. On its own merits, though, it isn't much of a game.

    • 60 Critic Score
Its different modes, which feature a relatively unique approach, are undermined by the substandard gameplay.

The story is weak, the camera forsakes practicality for dramatics, and you'll mostly be fighting different insects throughout most of the game, but Rygar's most stringent issue is its length--the game is only about four and a half to five hours long.

A fair adventure in button pressing, but that's as far as it goes.

A train wreck of a game... Falls short in every respect.

The game just feels like a BMX video game on a handheld system ought to feel--like a miniaturized version of its console cousin without any compromises or cutbacks.

Less challenging but more accessible than the original Xbox version, and in the end, just as good.

Whiteout's technical and creative deficiencies keep it from being recommendable to anyone.

An action game with appealing and simple gameplay but with flat characters and no connective tissue.

Big, complex, and definitely not for a casual player seeking a little light entertainment.

There simply hasn't been a Game Boy Advance game with this much gameplay to date.

Anarchy Online's technical performance has improved since it was released year ago, but it's still a rather complex game that may prove intimidating for newcomers.

These missions are very difficult. They are puzzles with very little margin for error, and as you load one for the second, fourth, and even 10th time, you'll find frustration overshadowing a lot of the game's strengths.

EA Sports simply hasn't made enough gameplay changes to make it feel even remotely different from its NBA counterpart.

SB's gameplay falls short when compared with its flashy presentation, and the result is an amazing showpiece but a less-than-stellar game.

A bare-bones rendition of "Gran Turismo 3" or "Sega GT 2002," albeit without the preponderance of cars and special effects.

It would have been nice to say that the uninspired design and presentation of Drome Racers are offset by some superbly executed gameplay, but such is not the case.
    • 81 Metascore
    • 79 Critic Score
It's a very good one-on-one fighting game with plenty of strategy, and it doesn't stray too far from the classic formula of simple fighting moves and extreme gore.
