The lack of a story, other than the farmer being sick, really had me wondering what the point was.- GameSpew

Made up of four sports — soccer, basketball, tennis and golf — Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports should be an entertaining outing for up to four local players. Unfortunately, it's not: none of the games are enjoyable to play in the slightest, and not even the familiar cast of Looney Tunes characters is enough to save it.- GameSpew

Between poor controls and downright tedious gameplay, Tango Fiesta fails to incentivise players to invest in its tough-guy premise.- GameSpew

There isn't much positive to be said about Blazing Strike other than it has a varied cast of characters. This 2D fighting game may be inspired by classics such as Street Fighter, but it unfortunately fails to live up to them on any level.- GameSpew

As a gamer of over 30 years, I truly understand the impulse to bring back old-school mechanics and had they been executed well, Daydreamer: Awakened Edition would be an easy game to recommend. However, this isn’t the case and I find it to be one of the worst games I’ve played this year.- GameSpew

I’m sure that The Hive is a game that many experienced RTS lovers will enjoy due to its compelling story and fantasy world, but it simply isn’t a game that’s suitable for newcomers to RTS games – and that’s where it falters.- GameSpew

I really don’t get what the developers were trying to achieve with Valkyria Revolution. It pretty much takes everything that was good about the prior games and just throws it out of the window, replacing it with tedium and banality.- GameSpew

Between the bland visuals, the uninspired soundtrack, the unoriginal characters and lacklustre plot, Asdivine Hearts offers nothing compelling to fans of the genre.- GameSpew

Does Dreamworks Spirit: Lucky’s Big Adventure have any redeeming features? Sadly, I can’t think of one nice thing to say about the game. It has an easy platinum trophy that’ll unlock simply by finishing the story? It felt more like a commiseration prize for the three hours of my life I wasn’t getting back. Even if you’re a fan of the Spirit franchise, don’t waste your time on this. Kids deserve better.- GameSpew

There’s simply no reason why a game should perform this badly. Try as you might, it’s hard to thoroughly enjoy something that’s such a technical mess. If you’re a glutton for punishment and want to spend more time with the most bizarre protagonist in video games, go right ahead. But don’t say that you haven’t been warned. It isn’t a blessing, it’s a disappointment.- GameSpew

Dear RED – Extended is a good idea and uses a really cool mechanic that could have a lot of promise. Unfortunately, that mechanic requires a deep and stimulating story, which just isn’t the case here. Had Dear RED been a little more polished with a more immersive narrative, it could have been something really special, but as it stands, I’m sorry to say that I really don’t think I could recommend this game to anyone.- GameSpew

Cooply Solutions’ Orc Slayer delivers the experience one would expect from such a title at such a price. Unless slaying Orcs by the bucketloads is an itch that you desperately must scratch, there is not much of a reason to pick this up.- GameSpew

A “chore” is the best word to describe UglyDolls: An Imperfect Adventure. Just because a game is aimed at children isn’t an excuse for lazy, uninspired design. With a boring world, mind-numbing and repetitive missions and a waste of its source material, this is one game not worth your time, no matter what your age.- GameSpew

While it may superficially retread a similarly desensitised violence found in the original film, little else could be compared from one to the other. In fact, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days is better an example of Lionsgate’s misuse of the original property, shelling it out every so often for some quick cash here-and-there.- GameSpew

It’s repetitive, unfairly difficult and nauseatingly ugly to the point that it’s hard to tolerate, never mind enjoy, making it one of the most unsatisfying experiences I’ve had in recent memory.- GameSpew

It’s a short experience end to end which sprouted from a solid idea, but whose ambition far exceeded the capabilities of the developers. Maybe consider it if it’s extremely heavily on sale, but for it’s current price point you’d be much better served buying a good book.- GameSpew

Kamio Recoil has, at its core, a solid concept, yet the execution of this concept is deeply flawed. Its clunky mechanics, awkward controls, infuriating enemies serve to stifle any appeal it might have had.- GameSpew

While it does offer a campaign mode and a similar “zombies” mode, both are completely unaware of what makes shooters fun. Or maybe it’s just that they don’t care. Like a student that has potential but continually turns in bad reports, NotCoD feels irritating to play.- GameSpew

It’s just a shame that Horse Racing 2016 is not in any way fun to play, and sadly the only enjoyment I got out of it was the bemusement of how bad it truly is. There are much better ways to spend a tenner, so do yourself a favour and keep a wide berth of this one.- GameSpew

While Apartment No 129 does a good job of creating an unsettling atmosphere, unfortunately it's a bit of a mess. Terrible combat, awkward controls, localisation issues and more suck the fun out of what otherwise could be a fairly effective horror experience.- GameSpew

Ultimately, G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout is a team-based third-person shooter with poor aiming, atrocious enemy A.I., and no online multiplayer options. That should tell you all you need to know, basically. It’s not the worst game you can buy right now, so if you’re a huge G.I. Joe fan and pick it up on a whim you might have some fun with it. Anyone with more self-control, however, should either wait for it to be deeply discounted, or simply forget it exists.- GameSpew

Zorro The Chronicles is hard to recommend. There are few, if any, redeeming features here, and anything that’s partially enjoyable – like the simple combat with its humorous finishing animations – is ruined by a dreadful camera. There are far better family-friendly adventure games out there and so, even if you or your kids have a love for Zorro, you should spend your money elsewhere.- GameSpew

We were never expecting Greyhill Incident to be amazing, but it falls even short of simply being mediocre. Unfortunately, it’s one of the worst games we’ve played this year. While it manages to create a truly unsettling atmosphere and has some pretty hair-raising scenes, its gameplay is so tedious and frustrating that it kills your desire to progress. And so, those looking for alien-based horror thrills will have to do with the paltry options that are already available for now.- GameSpew

There are elements of Bard’s Gold which are worth hanging on to for future projects – the interest in secrets (such an important aspect of gameplay, and in need of revival too), the willingness to challenge players. The rest can be put to one side in the “trial and error” pile.- GameSpew

Needless to say, when there are so many good Metroidvanias available on all formats right now, there really is no reason to invest in or play AeternoBlade II. With its crude visuals, laughable voice acting and dull and clumsy combat, it really doesn’t have much going for it at all. It’s one those rare sequels that is actually worse than its predecessor, so unless you’re a glutton for punishment, give it a wide berth.- GameSpew
