While there doesn't seem to be anything new to draw players in, Transistor has always had a goal of replayability to begin with.

While you’re out investigating the deaths of Sarah Hawkins and the men in her life, always remember, run and hide if you have to. There are no usable weapons, there are some in the story but not for you to physically use on Cultists. You are only armed with your mind, your thoughts, and a raised perception of the world. Do not try to fight. Just try to keep your wits about you. The Great Old One stirs. Sleep tight.

As much as I love playing Diablo 3 on my PC, the Eternal Collection on Switch may very well be my new preferred way to play - nothing beats lounging in bed, romping through a rift with the light out while I should be sleeping - all thanks to Nintendo Switch and Blizzard Entertainment.

Seeker, Slayer, Survivor is not only focused on combat, it is almost purely combat with very little else. If you are not a hardcore player who seeks to push the Watcher’s party to the limits and are more interested in the story than battles, this particular DLC might leave you with mixed feelings.

A tale of a man at the end of his life, his rope, and his wits trying to save the only thing he holds dear is not one you'd expect to be so funny, so spooky, and so gripping.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely to go down as the best game of the generation. Rockstar has outdone themselves, delivering one of the biggest, richest, most engrossing open world games ever made. Whether you're an action fan, RPG fan, open world fan, or just want a great story, RDR2 has something for everyone.

At its core, At Sundown is an entertaining indie game that is fast-paced and fun without requiring a hefty system to run it. Its main game mechanic of using light and shadows is interesting, but the lack of ability to see where your player is can stifle the enjoyment of the game itself.

The game is highly optimized for performance, with the exception of the low 20Hz tick rate.

For the type of “boss-rush” game that it is, Sinner does present a unique challenge to its players and allows you to try and learn on the fly after each fight.

The story alone really does make My Memory of Us worth the purchase. It manages to toe the line between childlike innocence and emotional gravitas brilliantly, all the while providing some enjoyable enough gameplay.

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams is predominantly a side scrolling platformer fans dream in and of itself, so despite some very shallow shortcomings, it has a lot to offer.

This year’s game is one of the better ones that I have played in years. With the inclusion of voice acting for your main character in career mode, to the showcase mode taking one of my favorite wrestlers, Daniel Bryan, and walking through his career, it makes for a really fun and good time.

Exorder is a good turn-based strategy game that is not for the beginning militarist. The game has robust multiplayer support and welcome touchscreen support but its unrelenting A.I. might be more frustration than desired.

Even without the toys, or even in spite of the toys, Starlink is a great game. Add in couch Coop and this is a fun way to get younger players into RPGs of this scope. It’s also one of the few RPGs of this style that deal with space an technology and aren’t just pure fantasy. With an interesting story to tell and compelling game systems Ubisoft has built a solid new IP. Hopefully they can continue to expand upon it into the foreseeable future.

I’ve only really scratched the surface of things which are going on in this game and trust me I haven’t covered everything by far. This game has a ton to offer to both new CRPG players and players who have been around the genre for a while.

A AAA game produced in 2018 with the backing of Microsoft simply should be far more technically sound than Forza Horizon 4 in its current state. And this perhaps is the greatest travesty for this otherwise brilliant game.

If you're a fan of "Escape Room" type puzzle adventure games then Whispering Willows should be at the top of your list in 2018. The game is beautifully drawn on a foundation of puzzles that aren't a free ride, but certainly, don't hinder your progress or make you feel inadequate.

60 Parsecs is this mad chaotic race to begin with that descends into slow decay. What keeps it engaging is the random layout each time you start a new game to do your 60 second dash and the different tasks assigned daily each time.

I am very much enchanted by this game. It is not without its flaws, for certain, but I didn't find any that broke the game or my appreciation and excitement for it. I feel that the step that Ubisoft Quebec took to make this experience more immersive and personal for gamers was a strong move, and they did it with style and a competence that greatly benefits the game as a whole. If these are the kind of evolutions we have to look forward to in the future, I eagerly await the next releases from them. Until then, go forth and let the drachmae roll in.
