Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely to go down as the best game of the generation. Rockstar has outdone themselves, delivering one of the biggest, richest, most engrossing open world games ever made. Whether you're an action fan, RPG fan, open world fan, or just want a great story, RDR2 has something for everyone.

Simply put, Super Mario Odyssey is the best game of 2017, and one of the greatest games of all time. Nintendo is on a roll. Long live the King.

Recent cRPG releases have revitalized the genre and proven that a great single-player game can gather a huge passionate playerbase, no microtransactions or live service elements needed. If you enjoy narrative-driven RPGs that feature deep roleplaying systems and a cast of great characters, you owe it to yourself to give Baldur’s Gate 3 a chance. I have not felt such a rush of emotions since Dragon Age: Origins.

With tons of enjoyable content available in Persona 5 Royal, it’s worth more than its price tag though not necessarily for those who have played Persona 5 previously. The game almost seems flawless in every part, especially in combat design and stealth mechanics, but be aware that this is a story-driven game for patient players.

God of War isn’t a perfect game, but it’s exactly the kind of reinvention the series needed. This game is a must own. If you own a PlayStation 4 and are even remotely interested, you owe it to yourself to pick it up.

A gorgeous and wonderful open world adventure full of discovery, magic, and the same threat that exemplifies FromSoftware's Souls series. Elden Ring is more than another Dark Souls Game, mixing a natural evolution of the series with an open world concept and a greater level of accessibility for those that want to experience the infamous You Died screen.

Hades is a roguelike action RPG developed and published by Supergiant Games. It set a new bar for roguelike games with amazing visuals, character development, and storyline. Hades does have a few minor issues that plague most roguelikes. But these don’t impact the overall experience of an amazingly great game.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition is more than just a port. Within, Larian has rewritten and reworked massive pieces to address players concerns and make it the best version yet of an already excellent turn-based RPG.

Resident Evil: Requiem combines survival and combat elements, offering players atmospheric locations, interesting new characters, and new monsters. At the same time, the new installment brings back old characters, monsters, and mechanics that are now even more refined and get a second life.

In short, it's no surprise that Shadow of the Erdtree has received mixed reviews and I've had mixed experiences with it. Shadow of the Erd Tree is a double dose of everything that's good about Elden Ring, plus a dose of FromSoftware isn't-so-great stuff. And 25 hours of play is clearly not enough for me to form an impression of such a contrasting gaming experience. The game is interesting, exciting, but I think that we already need something new.

On the Switch, in handheld mode, it plays marvelously, though I admit the chaotic action is a bit rough to follow on the smaller screens.

There's enough new content to digest, and the art book is pretty great, even if it's just a little trinket. Now... how long do we have to wait for a proper sequel?

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a masterpiece of emotional storytelling, rich in atmosphere in which history and magic intertwine. The game is not afraid to ask hard questions and point out harsh truths, all the while featuring a gripping narrative, believable characters, and an impressive turn-based combat with some novel mechanics.

When it comes to simulating a professional sport for both newcomers and veterans, F1 2020 is a masterpiece. It won’t let you get disappointed if you’re looking for highly stressful and exciting racing experience, though it’s not a perfect game in the case of visuals.

Animal Crossing New Horizons is the best game that could have launched during this pandemic being so family friendly and offering the best brand of distraction you could think of without any violence. Nintendo have delivered a jam packed adventure that is for the most fanatical player or someone who shares no history with this series. Where Nintendo still have work to do is in the building side of the game and also letting the player have more of their experience in game. Hours of fun for everyone that you can move wherever you go.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is one of the best MMO expansions I’ve ever played. The story is incredibly good, the new jobs are ridiculously good fun, and the mechanical updates work well. The word of the First is a beautiful treat, and music is top-notch. If this sounds like your jam, you should absolutely play it.

Silksong can be considered an excellent and even exemplary Metroidvania. It is damn nice to play while exploring every picturesque corner of the teeming world. It is gorgeously structured, the modified role-playing system, although it has become a little less diverse, is still pleasant. And the rebalanced battles of the sequel, each duel in which resembles a rhythmic dance, cause an influx of adrenaline. However, the game is not without its flaws.

Slay the Princess is a narrative experience like no other. The game sharply reacts to your actions, questions, and even thoughts. It will draw you in for hours as you read dialogues and attempt to piece together who lies and who tells the truth. You will find it quite difficult to put the game down once you've started. Everything in Slay the Princess is tied to how YOU see the game, and everyone will understand it in their own way.

Dave the Diver delves into the hauntingly beautiful and multi-genre masterpiece that captivates players with its engaging game play and ever-changing dynamics. The game's flexibility allows players to choose their preferred game play style, whether it's diving for fish or managing the sushi shop, ensuring a personalized experience for all players. Events and unpredictable moments add excitement and challenge to the game, making each dive feel different and special. Thank Goodness You're Here is like a season of a British cartoon, a series of linked episodes in which you're constantly being pelted with jokes. And the game looks great, and the humor in it is good, and the characters are funny, and there are a lot of interactive moments as well. It's a unique project, made with great love for English culture, and a great way to cheer yourself up - whether you understand British humor or not.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will not bring anything super expected, or something that will make everyone pull out their hair. This game has already taken a very worthy place, and it is very deserved and justified, just even if you look at its path. And this is true. I liked this expansion and I recommend everyone to explore this universe, there are so many interesting and new places and characters in it that it would be wrong to say something bad. The developers did not abandon their project, which became almost the most discussed topic of 2020, but they got together and did what few could. They created a universe that millions loved.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is an amazing but very pricey upgrade to a game that quite rightly got our Game of the Year 2020. Graphically, the difference this time around is notiacable and the brand new DLC is a fresh new look an an adventure we've played out many times before.
