A moody return to a world shaped by childhood nightmares. Although the pacing occasionally dips due to less imaginative puzzles and some repetitive design choices, the experience still delivers an unsettling, wordless kind of storytelling that gets under the skin. It offers exactly what long-time fans of the series expect: another dark fable unafraid to be uncomfortable, both in themes and the way it plays.

Songs of Silence is a well-crafted strategy game that brings a refreshing breeze to the genre, though some changes come at the cost of deeper city-building mechanics. It delivers a solid campaign and highly entertaining skirmish mode, all wrapped in a stunning visual style inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s illustrations and complemented by an excellent soundtrack. Instead of hundreds of hours, expect higher tens, during which you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself, testing new cards and unlocking heroes in a beautiful, poetic world.

Minecraft is suited for all, who have not killed the child within themselves yet. Although, the console version cannot be compared (for now) to the PC one, it still offers a great deal of fun, and with its regular updates we may expect of it to be a supernal game any time.

Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 serve as proof that true classics never age, while the gameplay, creativity and charm of both titles remain fully intact. The port runs smoothly, benefits greatly from 4K resolution and the controls translate surprisingly well. However, it is ultimately just a visual polish without any meaningful improvements, which makes the steep price feel a bit too self-assured.

End Game is a well-made ending of the DLC cycle for Battlefield 3 that is still fun as hell. Once more it offers four maps, however, this time in the outdoors. Moreover it adds two new modes expanding on its own large variety of things you can do in the game. On top of that it gives you a "nimble" motorbike.

A massive sequel with a more fun combat system, a great protagonist and a beautiful galaxy to explore. The story could be better, and the technical issues freeze as well, but it looks beautiful, plays well, and you can build the lightsaber of your dreams.

Master Chief along with Cortana have returned in all their splendor proving all doubters have been wrong. The Halo series is stepping into a new era showing its great potential in single-player and multiplayer games. From a narration point of view this is not a masterpiece; however, the intensive game content makes it up to you. A pity there is not more of it in the single-player game.

The blue hedgehog returns in full force with a hefty stack of aces up its sleeve. A generous selection of tracks, seamless world-to-world transitions mid-race, an energetic soundtrack, and a roster of familiar faces make for a highly enjoyable casual racing experience, while a solid pool of mechanics ensures that the competitive online component more than holds its own. With entertaining on-track boosts and weapons, plus the option to tailor driving style to personal preference, the result ranks among the best arcade racers available today, regardless of prior affinity for Sonic as a franchise.

A worthy successor to the delightfully unexpected detective hit Strange Horticulture. It boasts excellent writing, a strong audiovisual identity, a generous variety of puzzle types and a wonderfully bizarre catalogue of curious items. For the next installment, the narrative could use a more confident structure, a slightly shorter runtime would likely strengthen the pacing, and one unnecessary minigame should have been left on the cutting-room floor. Still, for anyone who delights in inventive deduction, and reading both between and beyond the lines, this is an adventure worth entertaining.

A different, but superb Forza title nonetheless. The game does not harm the series name; on the contrary, it expands on stiff racing circuits with a dense public traffic panorama. Even though it has its flaws and the game shows compromises in it, as their first attempt Playground Games own this specific sub-genre. However, no daydreaming to you Playground Games, you need to drive away from your competition, especially from your Turn 10 fellows.

The Taken King expansion was given the daunting task of saving the game. We know it couldn’t be flawless and perfect. Within the limits set by the original game expansion excels and veterans will love the Oryx adventure mainly due to the imaginative end game content and interesting changes in the economy and loot. It didn’t change a fact that Destiny is not for everyone. If you already left the game long ago hilarious stories and better approach to newcomers won’t lure you back.

The result of a passionate night between the F.T.L. and Fallout games is a bit ugly to look at and very hostile to the guests. If you have the nerves of steel you can find some hundreds of hours of pure entertainment. NEO Scavenger game is definitely the most interesting survival game of the last year.

Although the ravages of time are evident on this version, additional adjustments of its gameplay get it on the top of the genre. The camera is irritating and the same we can say about the level design, we can hardly blame remaster for it. Moreover, it does not change anything on the fact; this is a must-have for all fans of the genre.

Anger Foot can be unnecessarily frustrating at times, occasionally too vulgar or awkward, yet it remains incredibly fun and adrenaline-packed in most moments. The game excels with its high-octane action, an excellent soundtrack, and cleverly designed levels that make revisiting them to complete challenges and unlock new shoes a joy. However, it's essential to pace yourself, or the game might wear you down before you kick the final boss out of their lair.

The last Tales from the Borderlands episode does exactly what the last episodes should do. It answers the questions you have asked since the first episode and offers some of the most memorable moments in the entire series. In short, it’s a great ending that will make you laugh and touch your heart. More laugh, less touching.

As if the developers realized, that even LEGO games need care and cannot be just spit out one after another. Therefore they slowed down, spent more time with everything in the game and the result is a game with amusing story and gameplay. LEGO Jurassic World simply runs like a Swiss watch.

Larger, funnier and much better sequel of an already great survival game. Only basics remained the same and humor too and it works as an excellent bonus. A textbook example of what a good sequel should look like.
