Even though it could give a much better performance, it's still an outstanding JRPG for all the fans of the genre. It is a high-quality gaming title that will let you dream for nice long hours. You just have to forgive its bugs sometimes.

Yooka-Laylee is an amazing arcade playground with free gameplay and many hours of addictive fun. Shines like a rainbow, though a lot of those colors were "borrowed" from the older games. Non-originality is, however, a bearable price to pay for such great experiences.

A brilliant adaptation of the famous grimdark universe. The atmosphere is just great, the gameplay also feels very solid, even though one can feel a certain lack of polish here and there. You should really get three friends to play it with, by the way. Don’t expect to find a good random party online.

Free (for original game owners) remaster of the brilliant pixel-art star-trecky game brings many cosmetic enhancements. The campaign, among other things, has also a faster pace, an appropriately officers unit, automatic material collection and a new interface. Still, it would help a lot if the game could offer a possibility of sandbox and an option to run the game in slower mode. Core fans of the original game, however, will receive a polished gem with a promise to the future, so they can add one point to the score.

Dead Island 2 manages to balance on the border of parody and on the edge between opulent beauty and brutal nastiness. And on top of that, he jovially juggles severed limbs. It probably won't rank among the most amazing titles this year, but it certainly doesn't belong at the bottom of the list in the genre of zombie games that don't take themselves seriously.

Good old puzzle-solving Picross is a stepchild of crosswords, Sudoku and coloring books – but with nicer creations and a couple of interesting new ideas, what significantly deepen the gameplay and fun hand in hand with addictiveness.

With its dense atmosphere, cruel Medieval setting, beautiful France and thousands of hungry rats, this is an adventure you’ll not forget any time soon. It’s just a shame that the puzzle element is very basic.

Crash Bandicoot works well after twenty years, not only because we do not see many similar games today. With minor exceptions, the game is still a good, fun and stylish platformer that will catch also the audience not yet familiar with Crash.

Be patient, work through your failures. If you do, you’ll get to enjoy a truly fascinating simulation of the 19th century world with all its diplomacy, trade and social developments. War is secondary. And it’s for the best.

Transistor is no pioneer of the genre, but it is not afraid to be "special". It's a game which squeezes emotions out of you, and which will reward you with its both greatly written and put story, and enjoyable gameplay. This is a must for everyone who seek intense gaming experiences.

This lawyer trilogy, standing somewhere between a game, a book and a TV show, finally found its way West and brings hours of great fun. Just be prepared to read. A LOT.

A visually beautiful sci-fi experience which, surprisingly, doesn’t resort to simply cloning Dead Space. The difficulty and the fear factor both don’t reach the heights I’d expect, however. A shame! It could have been extraordinary.

A successful metroidvania that, while not bringing any particular innovations to the genre, is a well-executed piece of work, providing an enjoyable gameplay loop. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, above all, does not disgrace the famous name that has long lived only in memories.

Everspace is an addictive space rouge-like shooter that doesn‘t punish the ship destruction too cruelly. In addition to entertaining gameplay, it offers a beautifully created universe where it is a pleasure to fly in any spare moment you have.

Midnight Suns is so huge you probably won’t believe it at first. The sheer magnitude of its superhero-themed content is acceptable, though. Why? Because the game is good. Its tactical combat is fun, its storytelling hits all the right beats. The only true drawback is the aged graphics.

In every aspect, this is a nicely upgraded game. MK X offers a lot of challenges for rookies and experienced pros alike. The plot is a bit “over the top”, but unobtrusive adjustments to gameplay mechanics will ensure Mortal a long-term vitality. Raiden and his crew are in the best hands.

Dead Synchronicity is not a game for the faint-hearted. But if you can accept a dark tale with a series of harrowing scenes narrated without unnecessary easement plus the 4-hours play-time is acceptable for you, this title is the right one for you.

Bastion relies heavily on storytelling, which is not usual in the action RPG genre and it could be a little bit too distracting for hardcore warriors. However, if you are looking for very pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing gameplay with a fine story for a day or two, or if you want to introduce this genre to your girlfriend, there's no need to look further.
