As an open-world game, Starlink lacks of creation, which probably reminds you some former Ubisoft games. But still, it has great combat experience, and allows you to explore different planets with your starship. So if you are a fan of space theme, Starlink is obviously a good choice for you.

The Thronebreaker is not just an expansion pack of Gwent, but also a brand new RPG in Witcher world. Although some cards might be overpower, the overall impression of this game is magnificent. It is a great present to all Witcher fans.

The traditional multiplayer offers the most classic and satisfying shooting experience. The maps of Zombies mode is greatly expanded. Black Out makes a great progress for battle-royale games in terms of battles. Though Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 doesn't make much difference compared with its prequel or other battle-royale games, it's still the best shooting game on earth.

Life is Strange 2 tells a brand new and almost independent story which focuses on teenagers' strange life, and Episode 1 is a good start. The dramatic beginning of episode 1 is shocking, and the characters are impressive. Choices are not as important as I wish, but the money management system greatly makes up those flaws.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey represents the magnificent view of ancient Greece with an amazing scale and unique perspective. It's more marvelous than any of its prequels, and of course, Odyssey is the best entry in Assassin's Creed series. However, the harsh level limit greatly restricts my exploration and forces me to improve levels or obtain loots by finishing a large number of repeated side quests, and it makes me feel dizzy, bored and sad.

Forza Horizon 4 is invincible in the area of racing games. The landscape is beautiful, and the number of cars is greatly expanded. If you are keen on racing games, don't miss it.

Shadow of Tomb Raider absolutely is the best one in the trilogy since 2013, and its combat, puzzles, narrative, level design are all at a peak. But to be honest, those improvements are not as important as its two predecessors', and it might bore some of the veteran fans who expect more.

Although the first look of Phantom Doctrine reminded me XCOM, I still think it has some different advantages. At least, if you are a fan of spy movies, I am sure you will enjoy this game. Right now it has many flaws indeed, but developers are listening to community's opinions, and working hard to repair.

The brand-new MyCareer mode makes NBA 2K19 still worth a try. Although NBA Live makes a progress this year, NBA 2K19 is way ahead of it. One-year interval surely can't bring any revolutionary changes, but 2K still gives us something interesting.

PES 2019 does make a progress in terms of gameplay details, and it successfully makes the game full of surprises. However, I still feel those improvements are too conservative or lacking in brand new ideas especially compared with recent year's FIFA series.

We Happy Few has an interesting storyline and attractive background settings, and the duration of the game is far beyond my expectation. But still, too many bugs make this game look terrible, and the mission design is not that rational.

Although Shenmue was initially released nearly two decades ago, the core open-world concept is still inspiring, and the unique art style still deeply expresses the aesthetics of eastern culture. However, as a remastered game released in 2018, Shenmue 1&2 actually made very little progress in terms of graphical performance. What's more, the battle system and mission mechanics are still struggling with tons of problems. It might be too difficult for the new generation of players to get used to it.

Telltale is really good at creating a twisted plot and deeply understand how to shock their fans. Playing the role of Clementine is both touching and satisfying for old fans while the little girl has grown up and started to protect and guide another child just like the way Lee did. There is no doubt that episode 1 is a good start.

Octopath Traveler is a classic JRPG which reminds me some former masterpieces like Romancing SaGa and Final Fantasy VI. I really appreciate the idea of using 8 characters to tell stories, and the unique talents that every character has. But I still think the storyline could be better, and these characters could have more interaction.

Overcooked 2 has made significant progress. The kitchens are much more imaginative and dynamic, and the brand new ability to throw food makes the pace of the game faster and funnier. Besides, the online support makes it possible to play with your friends even when you are not sitting side by side.

Dead Cells looks like a simple old-school 2D platformer, but the core gameplay is modern and smart. The combat is fast, the gameplay style is various, and every time I start a new round would enjoy a different journey. This is a game that could easily cost you hundred of hours.

In a despairing atmosphere, the story of The Banner Saga finally meets its end. Your choice matters, and every move of the battle matters, so choose carefully. It has some issues in some ways, but overall, The Banner Saga has become an important part of the SLG family, with its very unique art style and strategy design.

I still can have fun when creating my own Gundam model, but the combat part of this game is awful. I can't stand the low frame rates and coarse details, and the number of Gundam models are not satisfying me at all.
