The game is a total mixed bag, but most of the bad parts are brought on by the performance issues from being on Nintendo Switch. It just seems like the game wasn’t fully optimized well for the system. If you plan on playing the game portable, you may not notice the problems as much, but the framerate still got to me at times, even in portable mode. Overall, Silver Chains is a decent survival horror game, but I’d recommend another version unless you plan on playing in portable mode all the time.

Gryphon Knight Epic has a certain nostalgic vibe to it and it delivers a style of gameplay that's in short supply these days, but it fails to nail the gameplay both in terms of mechanics and enjoyment. There are some good ideas at work behind the game, but they need more work to make Gryphon Knight Epic a good game.

The nature of the games means that they really only entertain the first time that you see each one, so repetition very rapidly sets in and your interest will wane just as rapidly. So much so, that you may not even be interested in playing the same micro games over and over again simply to unlock the rest of them.

There’s no customization in the game and the business model is extremely light. What the game really comes down to is keeping pretty girls happy so that you can keep watching them in their bikinis, and Hot Dog King manages to make this a pretty boring exercise.

In the end, STAY is a game that's premise is more interesting than the game itself. If Quinn was more focused on escape than on philosophizing and the game ditched the annoying and unnecessary puzzles, it would be a better experience. If you're expecting a game that plays like an escape room experience, you'll be disappointed in it.

If you're buying Override as a single player game, you'll most likely get bored with it rather quickly like I did. The arcade mode is decent, but it gets boring very quickly. I didn't find the overall gameplay that fun, but I have to admit that the game definitely has a lot of attack variety and the control setup is quite good for choosing between all moves in your arsenal. The game mainly shines when it comes to the amount of match variety you can have while playing with friends.

The updated version of Destroy All Humans certainly looks a lot better than the original did on two-generation old hardware, but it really needed the gameplay to be updated as well. Artificial challenge created by horde-tactic mobs of enemies, a clunky skills and weapons system, repetitive gameplay, and claustrophobic open world levels all work against the graphics to really show the game's age. The game's premise still holds up today, so it's a shame that the gameplay was left stuck in the past.

I would really like to enjoy Daymare 1994, and I do somewhat. The game has collectibles to find, challenges to try for and multiple difficulties so there is some good replay value here. Just like the first game, you can tell that the developers had fun while making it with all the references and good atmosphere that the game carries. It’s just such a shame that this game frustrates me so much with its overall mechanics and poor enemies. I feel like this is a game that some people will enjoy (like I did somewhat), but it’s hard to deny the problems we have here.

Despite its problems, AEW: Fight Forever is a good start for an AEW game. It’s really nice to see WWE finally have some more competition. Let’s hope that the developers can address some of the problems in a future update and add some more content to the game in the months ahead. As it stands, the game is mainly only good for online or couch co-op with a friend. The Road to Elite single player mode is way too short and repetitive to hold up for long. The game has a better feel to it online when compared to a WWE game, so it has it beat on that. If you want a good single player experience however, WWE games far outweigh Fight Forever with content and just overall things to do.

That’s a first for me, and I’ve been playing the game since before it even had a multiplayer mode. Modern Warfare III is the most disappointing entry in the series for me in a while – I haven’t been this disappointed probably since Ghosts. The franchise would have better served its fans by taking this year off and putting the time into creating a better-balanced, more complete entry in the franchise. Curse of Osiris simply doesn't give you that much new content for your money, but without it your characters will be capped at level 20 and 300. This means that you'll be locked out of heroic level content because your power level will be too low. If you play with friends and they have this expansion, then you'll be forced to get it as well if you want to join them in every activity such as the Leviathan raid's hard mode or the Trials of the Nine. If that's not the case with you, you can probably pass on this expansion for now and see what happens with the next expansion due in spring 2018.

The core of the game - the aiming and shooting - just isn't up to par. Your ship moving at the pace of a mail truck in a crowded neighborhood doesn't help either. While technically competent and somewhat well-written, Star Horizon just doesn't live up to the games it is meant to celebrate, though if there was a Star Horizon 2 on the, um, horizon, I'd sign up for it.
