The final chapter in the Naruto saga is an underwhelming experience where long and bland storyboards tell the story before you are finally allowed to participate in some downright spectacular battles.

The Little Ones is a strong addition to a game that was solid in its own right. The children are a real game-changer in more presumably realistic, and more interesting, ways than I had imagined. They are a welcome addition to This War of Mine, both for the player and, seemingly, for the adult characters.

Oxenfree sneaks up on you with its quirky charm, disarms you with a knowingly lame joke, before it pushes you heads first into a creepy, nightmarish tale made up of equal parts Twin Peaks and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

If the combination of a photo realistic world showered in clay isn't enough to persuade you to take a leap of mental faith, The Witness offers so much more than gorgeous visuals. Its puzzles and mysteries are so thoroughly thought through, and its open world so deep and intricate, that I cannot do anything but warmly recommend the game to all curious, adventure-seeking gamers out there.

While not bringing anything particularly new to the series, Paper Jam Bros. still manages to be a thoroughly enjoyable game in the Mario & Luigi franchise. It's a simple, fun and colorful RPG – sometimes brought down by tedious fetch quests and bland paper battles, but with a big, soft heart on the outside.

Mordheim: City of the Damned can be both punishing and rewarding, and it all depends on whether or not you are willing to accept a somewhat brutal challenge.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a huge game, but underneath the impressive surface is a game that could benefit from being much smaller. A potentially interesting plot is ruined by uninteresting characters, slow pacing and a bothersome gameplay structure. This should have been the game Wii U owners needed to breathe new life into their console, but it is not the game they deserve.

The premise of the Project Zero series, quite literally having to face up to your fears to catch them on camera, is ingenious. Furthermore, at its high points, Maiden of Black Water showcases a generous amount of the very peculiar and likeable Japanese horror atmosphere. However, the experience suffers from imprecise and slow controls, making for frustrating maneuvering through the rather samey surroundings of the haunted Mount Hikami. Add to that the large amount of terribly dull and boringly angst-ridden notes that most of the narrative is related through, and you have a game that, unfortunately, doesn't quite live up to its potential.

If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, Telltale's version is a must buy. It fleshes out the universe in a great way, with a really exciting story and a great cast of characters – you know, the way Telltale usually rolls. The game is however not without its flaws, including crammed in book characters, boring storylines and a tempo that sometimes is a drag.

Just Cause 3 is a chaotic, over the top action game where a simple grenade could level an entire military base from the domino effect alone. It is a beautiful action movie in video game form, with a cool protagonist and an incredible attention to detail.

Star Wars Battlefront is a really great multiplayer shooter, with clean gameplay, a good mix of first and third person, as well as a lot of cool ideas. However, it's the Star Wars part of things that truly makes the game shine, and you probably won't see George Lucas' movies represented quite like this anywhere else for a long time. There could, however, be even more to do here, and the co-op mode is a bit too basic for our taste.

It's obvious that Ghost Games and Electronic Arts are trying to build a great Need for Speed game, but they still haven't quite gotten there. This more reboot friendly Need for Speed feels incredibly shallow, resulting in a racing game that seems to be running on empty.

Football Manager is still the king on the hill of sports simulation games. Though FM16 is predictable and takes no chances with its established recipe, it delivers an infinitely repeatable game that is both very entertaining and wickedly addictive.

With a surprisingly engaging story, and a plethora of side quests and interesting characters to explore, Fallout 4 is the best open world game since Red Dead Redemption. It’s the kind of game you wait years for, only to have it exceed your expectations.

This expansion is a demonstration of story-telling excellence by CD Projekt Red. The combination of interesting characters, great writing and directing, as well as beautiful new scenery makes this DLC a great addition to one of the best games of the year. A must-have for every fan of The Witcher series.

This year's Call of Duty has a disappointing campaign, but is ultimately saved by its multiplayer modes. The increased movement and specialist classes add some much needed variety, and Zombies is a real treat this time around.

Lara truly shines in her newest game, with a sprawling world to explore and a great set of skills at her disposal. If only the world had been even bigger, with more hub areas and even more to do, this could easily have been a truly astonishing game.

Divinity: Original Sin never ceases to impress. Be it the deep role-play mechanics, the marvelous quest structure, the beautiful soundtrack or the gorgeous visuals, the Enhanced Edition feels like the complete package. With inclusion of voice acting and the possibility of split-screen gaming with a friend, the title is a must-have for console RPG enthusiasts.

Guitar Hero Live is both modern and clever in its design, with cool FMV and a new guitar to bring the immersion to a whole new level. GHTV is a great new addition to the franchise, and with a long and varied song library to choose from you'll be hard pressed to not have a good time here.

Tales from the Borderlands is Telltale at their funniest, with a well-written story, amazing moments and characters you'll absolutely fall in love with. There is however too much downtime, and the final episode is somewhat of a disappointment.

Excellent combat aside, the boring story and cookie cutter characters drags this experience down to forgettable levels.

Undertale creates immersion in its own unique way. Completely freed from the standardized techniques modern games use to entice players into their simulations. Great soundtrack, an innovative combat system, and some really memorable characters makes this a quaint little piece of entertainment, despite some flaws.

Kingdom might not look like much at first, but through great ambition, it manages to be more than your average tower defense experience. The exploration and its beautifully pixelated art style create a sense of mystery and wonder, and had it not been as repetitive, demanding that you play in more or less one single way to succeed, it could have been something much greater.

Tri Force Heroes isn't a bad game, but it's not a great one either. It feels more like an apology from Nintendo for delaying Zelda Wii U to 2016. A lack of polish and depth holds the experience back and there's very little reason to replay anything once you're done the first time around.

Dragon Quest Heroes offers very little in terms of enjoyment. While the combat is the only thing keeping its head slightly above water, the story is forgettable at best, the soundtrack is dull, and the dialogue is embarrassingly overdramatic.
