2K Games delivers a new way of playing career mode. With a story directed by Spike Lee, NBA 2K16 makes you want to hate it and love it at the same time. The cliché story might be a little over the top, but the gameplay itself is still very strong, making it probably the best basketball game out there to date.- Gamer.no

Pikmin 3 is a cute game with plenty of soul. It takes the concept from the two previous games one step further with the way it combines tactics with roleplaying. In terms of graphics this is probably the most beautiful game the world has ever seen on a Nintendo console.- Gamer.no

Total War: Warhammer 2 is more spectacular than its predecessor, but fails to innovate when it comes to depth and strategy. The Vortex mechanic is wonderful and the factions diverse, but with the game's extreme dedication to fantasy, it might be a tough sell for the traditional fans of the series.- Gamer.no

Spelunky 2 is as brutally challenging as ever – sometimes to the point of exhaustion – but manages to keep the player engaged thanks to small but clever modernizations and the same incredibly creative universe.- Gamer.no

Halo Infinite is a Halo game through and through, and probably the closest 343i have been at capturing the same magic that Bungie did all those years ago.- Gamer.no

Who knew a stroll into Arts and Crafts land could be this much fun? Kirby's latest adventure is a pure joy, and although it's a bit on the easy side, it'll keep you very entertained from start to finish without even flinching.- Gamer.no

Fall of the Samurai is a good expansion pack for one of the best strategy games of 2011. It gives a great history lesson about en epoch in japanese history the western hemisphere tend to forget. Furthermore, it is the first time the Total War franchise shows the staggering effect the industrial revolution had on military warfare - evolve or die.- Gamer.no

Tales from the Borderlands is Telltale at their funniest, with a well-written story, amazing moments and characters you'll absolutely fall in love with. There is however too much downtime, and the final episode is somewhat of a disappointment.- Gamer.no

Football Manager 2013 has inherited its throne as the #1 manager simulator. Don't expect a revolution, but a few tweaks here and there, and the addition of a couple of new game modes mean this year's release does just enough to be a must-buy for fans of the series.- Gamer.no

Velocity 2X might look and feel a bit simple, but beneath that lies a rather entertaining hybrid of a shoot-em-up and a 2D platformer. It works best in small doses rather than long play sessions, but manages to score a lot of points on charm, aesthetic and tight game design.- Gamer.no

Total War: Warhammer redefines the series with this great fantasy entry, but not without caveats. While the battles are arguably more spectacular than earlier and the campaign is based on the traditional Total War formula, it does take some time getting into. The game focuses on few factions and more linear campaigns than ever before, but what is present is undeniably exciting, and bodes well for the future of the series.- Gamer.no

Saints Row just got bigger, and even more crazy then ever. After an alien invasion you get stuck in a virtual Steelport. Superpowers, warmongering aliens, crazy minigames and a compelling story make number four the best in the series.- Gamer.no

Mario Kart World is a brilliant addition to the Mario Kart family, and offers a lot of fun. It's one of the few games where the whole family can join in and have equal fun, with adjustments for the weaker players, and plenty of antics for the experienced. If I have one complaint, it's that we currently don't get to drive fast enough. It didn't take long to get gold on everything in 150cc, but the robust online multiplayer mode more than makes up for that.- Gamer.no

Nioh remains at the top of the soulslike genre, outside of FromSoft's own titles. The third instalment's ninja style fighting and more open world are both excellent additions to the formula.- Gamer.no

Persona 3 Reload fixes some obvious problems from the earlier versions, but otherwise the game is as we like it, just in a newer guise. The result is a rare polished game where the small details stand out and matter. The insanely good flow in the battles demonstrates that Atlus still is among the best in the industry on this front.- Gamer.no

Blizzard's newest expansion keeps StarCraft II as the king of real time strategy, even though I'm not a huge fan of the narrative. The campaign is composed of well-crafted and varied missions, while multiplayer also offers some new and interesting additions to the formula.- Gamer.no

Although amendments have been made to cater Crysis 2 to a multi-platform audience, it is still a fun game for shooter enthusiasts. It's brilliant use of the nanosuit, high production values and good weapon physics make Crysis 2 a great first person shooter in singleplayer and multiplayer.- Gamer.no

Ghost of Yōtei is big, beautiful and bloody, with a world that's very fun to explore. This doesn't however make up for tiresome combat and a story that ultimately feels quite hollow. The game is shockingly similar to its predecessor, and while the formula still works, it's hard not to be disappointed in the lack of any meaningful changes.- Gamer.no

This emotional and powerful story about two brothers and their sacrifice is told in a way that’ll make you take a step back think. Starbreeze tells us multiple stories, all set in a brutal and unfair world, where family is everything that matters. The control system is quite unique and will probably not suite everybody, but they are interesting enough to make even the simplest puzzles exciting.- Gamer.no
