    If you have a gang of friends to play with regularily, Brink is fantastic. Proper communication makes solving the different tasks a wonder, and at times, this is one of the best games I have played in the genre. However, you never truly know what you get with Brink, due to the rubbish bots and uncertain online team composition. As a game it is simply too unpredictable.

    Being able to finally take the Super Smash Bros. games on the road is a welcome addition to the fighting game/party game hybrid series, and generally everything works well. Unfortunately, playing online is uneven at best, and the small screen can make things difficult to see, but the overall experience is still damned fun from start to finish.

    Mickey is back to save The Wasteland and this time he's accompanied with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The game is filled with nostalgia, Disney magic, great voice acting and song, but is also colored by it's slow pace, tricky camera and level confusion. Still, The Power of 2 is a solid platformer, even with its frustrations.

    Binary Domain has a respectable mechanical foundation and a feel that allows it to mingle with the mammoths of third-person shooting. However, it does not manage to surpass any of them. The campaign offers a engaging ride through Neo-Tokyo, but the multiplayer is so uninteresting that the product as a whole would not suffer if it was removed.

    Kingdom might not look like much at first, but through great ambition, it manages to be more than your average tower defense experience. The exploration and its beautifully pixelated art style create a sense of mystery and wonder, and had it not been as repetitive, demanding that you play in more or less one single way to succeed, it could have been something much greater.

It's a much more "active" game than most tower defense games, because you constantly have to work to keep the turrets in optimal positions, and it can be really really tough at times too.     Party Animals is easily the most fun you'll ever have in a video game. The mix of adorable characters, brutal fighting, and comical physics makes for a hilarious experience if you're playing with friends. Sadly it doesn't have the legs to go on forever – or even more than a handful of hours.

    Resident Evil: Revelations shows the potential that lies in Nintendos new handheld console. The story itself is masterfully told inepisodes, and the game has the best sound I've experienced on a 3DS sofar.     Rage is a beautiful game set in a vivid and believable world. The old-school id-polish is present, and the weapons and items at your disposal make for a solid shooter.     With a renewed focus on high speed racing and crazy car destruction, DiRT: Showdown is a fun and exciting new direction for the DiRT series. With less emphasis on realism, the game comes with a lowered level of entry allowing new players in, but also welcomes more experienced players with some decent challenges on the higher difficulties. Cumbersome menus and a lack of variety does hamper the experience somewhat.

    Playing as a scoundrel equipped only with cleverness and a laser gun is fun, and opens up a more charming role gallery than what we often encounter among the slightly more pompous Jedi Knights. However, this is not a game that reinvents the wheel. It builds on many familiar formulas, and seems to take a lot of inspiration from the Uncharted games in the way it plays.

    Kona is by no means a perfect game, but it shines in the fact that it dares to let us roam freely through the mysteries of its snow-ridden quebecois forest village. By refraining from leading us by the hand and showing us where to go at every step, the sense of exploration and discovery is heightened. To me, Kona feels like a breath of fresh air amid the current blizzard of AAA juggernauts.
