The Technomancer tries to be an epic RPG, but it fails miserably. The big world, layered story and many combat possibilities are okay, but they do not matter as the game does not seem to have a soul, or a good experience to give gamers.

Explorers of Time is an average RPG that doesn't know how to convince its players thanks to the weak fighting system and too many boring dungeons. The funny story and online options don't make up for it. Food for the real fan, but even they will need to reconsider a purchase.

Resistance: Burning Skies brings the series' strong points to a handheld with a good arsenal of weapons and lots of action. Other than that, the game achieves little.

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is a forced sequel to the 1988 classic. Choices have been made that affect the original concept and technical issues hold it back. In essence it's still a challenging strategy game that doesn't look bad, but the awful artificial intelligence and awkward controls manage to frustrate.

Sylvio is very good at one thing: getting under your skin with a fascinating story and the constant threat of fear as sound is a mechanic in this game. Unfortunately other elements distract you in this experience and the game misses finishing touches, which is a pity for a game that finally tries something new in the horror genre.

When you first play Time Crisis 4, you get the feeling it's basically all the same. It's not until further in the game that you get a nice new gaming experience. The game is a succesfull conversion to the console, but the arcade style hasn't changed since the first game of the series. Also the high price of the game might be a reason for many players not to buy Time Crisis 4.

Need for Speed Undercover is a big step backwards for the series. It's almost as if the franchise has the same disease as FIFA had a couple of years ago. EA promises a lot new features but in the end there just isn't enough to justify a new game. Thankfully the FIFA-syndrom offers perspective, because after a few mishaps the franchise has produced an instant classic. That's why we keep hope for a worthy Need for Speed game in the near future.

Unlike the Inazuma RPG's on the Nintendo DS, Inazuma Eleven Strikers on the Wii turns out to be just a soccer game. Although, it can't really be called normal, with the options to call in dragons or cause earthquakes to beat your opponents.

What should have been the big comeback of one of Nintendo's most obscure heroes, is just a dull, uninspiring game that does not fit in with the other end of the year games that are worth your time.

The jetpack might be a nice gimmick, but it’s not innovative enough to carry an entire game, especially since vertical cover can only be used in certain places. Everything else in Dark Void is as generic as generic can be. The level design, enemies, weapons and story, nothing stands out particularly. But for an eight hour single player-only experience, it should have.

This game is a fun collection of the most popular minigames in Mario Party history, but the content of the game is too little to really make it an interesting replay.

    Saw
While Saw becomes a bit repetitive towards the end of the game, it has surprised us in a positive way. The game has a good story, oozes with the typical horror-flick vibe and a lot of the characters and bizarre contraptions of the movies have made their way in the game. The gameplay itself however is pretty frustrating. But if you love the movies and want more, this might begin to fill your thirst for blood.

With a beautiful, dream-like style Lucidity grabs you almost instantly. But while playing it slowly loses its grip. The concept knows too many flaws and irritations to keep you fascinated and the story is too minimal to provide a counterbalance.

The game is not for everybody, but we as a Dutch website really enjoyed the story from Frisian history. This is the most fun a history lesson can get.

Micro Machines is a mediocre try to lure that nostalgic gamer back to the franchise. The difficult controls and the lack of content however make this game only fun for just a short while.

SEGA Bass Fishing is actually not that bad. For newcomers the game will be tasty. People who have played the game before will not find this one anything more special. If fishing is your thing then this title will be fun to play. For a fishing game on the Wii, this is your best choice.

Contrast is given shape by promising and atmospheric game concepts, but comes up short in its execution. Although switching from light (3D) to shadow (2D) could potentially create unique and challenging situations, the simple puzzles and bad controls only guarantees a minimal experience. If the possibilities were more though out and everything would work just a bit better, this indie game could've been much more interesting.

Sega doesn’t add much to the old formula except for one thing: the Balance Board. And it doesn’t work. You can just ignore it and use the controllers, but that’s no excuse. The Balance Board is way too imprecise when it comes to rolling monkeys down levels. The jumps and boss battles from the previous game have been axed, which is nice, but the series doesn’t seem to progress in any meaningful way. Sega must be wondering where to take this franchise next.

Necropolis is a pretty standard dungeon crawler, but it does give things an interesting twist. The fighting system is steady, while the surprising potions and curses allow the game to be a unique roguelike. Could have used more variety though.

The world of Epic Mickey 2 has this new kind of Mickey-charm without having forgotten about the nostalgic past and everything fits naturally in the game's world. Unfortunately it doesn't translate this sensation as successfully to a charming experience. The story starts of slowly and there is little opportunity to get to know all of the colorful characters. Epic Mickey 2's gameplay is also double edged. It's challenging and interesting in some spots, but too little is done with the different options you're given.

The prospect of unlocking every part and every racer depends entirely on draining your wallet - but there is a good chance that I will keep returning with millions of others. The attraction of Mario Kart is even in its diluted form and with a dirty aftertaste too large to resist.

In 2010, Guitar Hero: Van Halen should have never been released in stores at full price. It’s absurd. We’d rather applaud you to wait for the release of Guitar Hero 6, since Guitar Hero Van Halen has the same lack of content as it has lack of love for our frettapping guitar legend. Or as Eddie would probably put it: Aint Talkin’ Bout Love.

If Ghost would be directed by an As The World Turns-director you'd probably get something like Murdered: Suspect Soul, a game with useless gameplay mechanics that are trying to hide the fact that you have always done the same uninteresting actions. The somewhat amusing story could have saved the game, were it not for Murdered to not take you seriously as a player.

Seldom do we play games that are so fun to play, while also being super disappointing. There are so many problems, but underneath there is a very good game that can't even come through wearing a powerful exosuit.

You can easily notice that everything about Transformers: Dark of the Moon, is made for a bigger audience. The game has become more simple and accessible, but doesn't lose that special 'Transformers-feeling'. It's a fun game, that doesn't do anything more than it's supposed to, which is also why it degrades into mediocrity.
