Actual fear and horror step aside for an especially serviceable focus on action. This isn't solely the case for the lonely players though. Cooperatively there's more than enough quality to extract from F.E.A.R. 3, which makes this part the real successor to the original. The game stays on its feet, even though the story is poorly told and lacks impact, which is more than mentionable nowadays.

BoxBoy! + BoxGirl! does not reinvent the box, but it is a nice new addition to one of the most undervalued franchises of Nintendo. Especially the new co-op mode with BoxGirl is a blast.

The heartbreaking First World War is a perfect setting for games and as expected with Valiant Hearts, Ubisoft delivers a beautiful, intimate tearjerker. It certainly does not excel in terms of gameplay, but this is compensated, by strong, impressive artwork. The world is so attractive that they could have skipped the puzzles to make an animated film instead.

Sniper Elite 3: Afrika has minor defects and because of these it does not leave a lasting impression, but otherwise the game is almost the perfect sniper game. The criticism of the previous sections has clearly been taken to heart; the game plays much better and provides more satisfaction than any installment of the franchise before.

Planet Coaster 2 is a park builder where mostly only your own creativity and imagination are a limit, but sometimes the controls and menu structure also limit you. Swimming pools and slides are a surprisingly successful and well-developed addition. The game has generally been made more accessible for people who do not have the patience or talent to build everything themselves. As a management game, Planet Coaster 2 is still poor.

The reason why Red Faction exists is the fact that we love to break stuff. A thing that this game does best. And it doesn't feel old after a couple of hours, because you can always choose a different way of playing. The boring story, somewhat dull surroundings, and few graphic hiccups won't change that. Guerrilla feels like a fresh new start for the series.

LostWinds is short, but it's worth the price of 1000 Wii Points. More important is that the game plays like dream, when it comes to controls and visuals. It's simple but hits its target. They should make more of these games on the console.

Flight Control HD does not offer much content, but the simple and rewarding gameplay mechanics make it an ideal game to pick up and play. Controlling air traffic and letting planes land is fun to do and make this game a safe download.

BattleTech brings to life the boardgame, including the mercenary fantasies of MechWarrior. There are a few technical difficulties, but other than that this is a great game.

In a world of ultra short hyper active single player campaigns, Killzone: Shadow Fall delivers a contemporized piece of excitement, that manages to leave a nice taste in your mouth after eight hours of action. The multiplayer simply keeps you going for quite a while longer.

Birth By Sleep fixes a lot of things. The story is easy to digest and the focus is on discovering new Disney-worlds. The combat system is the most refined version of the system in Kingdom Hearts ever and the game isn't a step down graphically from the PS2-games.

You do not buy this collection because of its good games: you buy this because you want to think back to the time you were little, enjoying these games even though they were crazy difficult.

The collision detection seems off sometimes and the game isn’t exactly an example of original gameplay, but this is the game you need to buy if you want to get to know the WWE-franchise. Smackdown vs. Raw can be played by anyone thanks to the simple gameplay and is also a looker. The game is also filled with different modes and options to make your own content to share it with friends online.

Little Nightmares 2 manages to surpass its predecessor with much more variety. The locations are more varied and the creepy situations are never repeated anywhere. You don't want to wake up from this nightmare.

Looking at the level design and the monster design Little Nightmares is one of the best horror experiences out there. It does come up a bit short when it comes to platform gameplay and horror experience. It seems the five hour duration is exactly right.

InFamous is, in a nice way, a new type of game. The climbing onto building-part is truly from another level, your electric superpowers more than okay and Empire City a place that gives you goosebumps. The basics are so good that it lets you forget the minor flaws with ease. InFamous is a must buy and will offer hours and hours of gameplay.

Dice took everything we loved from Battlefield and added more action packed gameplay. Battlefield 1943 offers a great multiplayer experience and total destruction, but tends to get repetitive because of a lack of modes.

That Need for Speed Shift was going to be more of a simulation wasn't a big surprise when Slightly Mad Studios got the job. It is however a surprise that the game ended up being this good. Thanks to the cockpit-view, the sense of speed and the eye for detail, Shift takes the Need for Speed-series back to the top.

It's a compliment that the fifth Layton-game in the last five years is such a joy to play. The world of the puzzling professor is more charming than ever, partly thanks to its great three-dimensional animations. Although the unchanged formula of finding and solving puzzles won't reel in any new fans, the Miracle Mask is a safe purchase for any Layton-fan.

F1 2010 is the Formula 1 game we longed for. There are some remarkable flaws and 'living the live' isn't that great, but even Schumacher would be excited about the race-experience itself.

Just like Until Dawn, the Man of Medan setting - a ghost ship - may be cliché, but the outcome is sublime. The protagonists are sympathetic, the shock effects effective and it is amazing how seamlessly the story unfolds while still being interactive. It is a pity that framerate problems sometimes disturb the illusion.

The newest expansion Rubicon provides power to individual players and smaller corporations. The new deployables are a welcome addition, as well as the beautiful new ships. With that, it disrupts the balance of this stone cold PVP-world, which is a great thing in EVE's case. Rubicon is proof that CCP is going in the right direction.

Riff: Everyday shooter lives up to his name on the PSP. Too bad that there aren't any differences whatsoever between this version and the PSN version. Even if the game would cost a little bit more, than it would still be worth your money. Gamers that are looking for an interesting 2D-shooter should consider buying Riff. Don't forget that you'll need a PlayStation 3 to copy the game to your PSP.
