Anno 1404 has excellent production values and gameplay, visuals and sound complement each other well. The eastern theme gives the game a new dimension, without getting overly complicated. It's a great game to start your summer holidays.

This is an excellent VR game with good movement options, fist fights and the possibility to really look a suspect straight in the eye. It is such a pity this game is only limited to a few cases instead of the full game.

Minecraft is an excellent port of the famous PC game. At a glance you'll have a hard time noticing the differences. The Xbox 360 version is way more accessible though thanks to a way clearer crafting system. Veterans should skip this version, because the PC-version boasts many more options.

This is a very well rounded basketball game, made by and for fans of the sport. The countless details and different facets of the sport are perfectly recreated in the game. The graphics are insanely realistic, but the frame rate suffers sometimes because of it. Still, this is the best basketball game of this season.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is one of the better arcade racing games in the App Store thanks to its fantastic graphics and smooth controls. It doesn't match its console siblings due to a lack of depth and expansiveness, but offers a relatively serious racing experience given its limited form.

Project Cars 2 is the best racing game on consoles right now.

Revelations is the proof that the 3DS is really a powerhouse. The circle pad makes controlling the game a great experience as well. The cooperative Raid-mode is a fine addition. The action-sequences in the main game weren't necessary, however.

Far: Lone Sails goes a very long way with just a little. This three-hour trip offers simple but interesting gameplay mechanics that will whisk you away.

Superhot is a radical twist on how we experience time. The level design is strong, the shooting action is challenging and the design is elegant. Though there are not too many levels to work with, Superhot is a thought-through and amazing shooter/puzzle game.

It's a compliment that the fifth Layton-game in the last five years is such a joy to play. The world of the puzzling professor is more charming than ever, partly thanks to its great three-dimensional animations. Although the unchanged formula of finding and solving puzzles won't reel in any new fans, the Miracle Mask is a safe purchase for any Layton-fan.

Very few games have Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate's depth. It's a survival simulator and one of the best co-op multiplayer experiences on consoles. The lack of matchmaking and a decent explanation regarding the game's mechanics are only minor gripes. This is the best the Wii U has to offer.

Saints Row is a playground for adults, a not so subtle satire of modern culture and entertainment. It's also the opposite of Grand Theft Auto. It's very rough around the edges, unfortunately, and isn't that much different from its predecessor. Still, it's proper fun.

This collection makes you want to start a new game plus again, even after one hundred hours in the game. There is so much content. The things we did not like about Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel in the first place, are still there unfortunately, like getting lost.

Super Stardust Delta is an amazingly excecuted twin stick shooter that Works greatly on the PlayStation Vita.

The Division 2 is a great addition to the franchise. It's not just very challenging, it gives that great feeling of accomplishment when you finally get the mission done. The endgame could have been a bit better though.

F1 2016 is a race game that is truly worth your time. It is realistic without being extremely hard to master. A rock solid F1 experience.

What looks like a kiddy game for some gamers, may well be serious business for others. And that's the case with Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. With an upgraded interface and a lot more Piñata's to choose from, this sequel is more than worthy of his predecessor.

An excellent football game that even excels FIFA 10 in some ways. But in the end this is still a basic version of that game and together with a few rough edges it keeps the game from becoming truly fantastic.

Far: Changing Tides is very similar to its predecessor, and is again a succinct adventure characterized by a unique, painterly style and a very serene atmosphere. What a nice game.

Shift 2: Unleashed might not be the realistic racing game of which the developers speak, but it does offer an intense racing experience we haven't seen before on the consoles. You literally experience the race through the eyes of the driver which offers a lot of exciting moments which will keep you interested from start to finish.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will sometimes shamelessly steal from other iconic platformers, but it adds enough ideas of its own to get away with it. The sequel works better in terms of gameplay and level design than the three-dimensional original.

Unreal Tournament 3 is a fantastic shooter that you'll enjoy for weeks to come. There's great balance here and there are five new maps. A sure bet for fans of shooters.

N++ offers level after level full of challenging obstacles that flow very smoothly from one to another. N++ is not as strong when it comes to making your own levels or when the inspiration is clearly starting to wear out within the thousands of levels in this game. The style, the music and the huge number of challenging levels make N++ exceeds its predecessors.

Dyad is like an incomplete informative flyer on drug usage. The 'racing game' comes with an obvious manual, but no one will explain to you why you're hanging in front of the television with dilated pupils an hour later, staring at the explosion of color and sound that appears to be emanating from the screen. Let the epilepsy-warning be seen as an invitation to one of the most amazing trips in recent years.

PES 2015 offers strong gameplay and thanks to its precision and tactical gameplay it feels like real soccer. You really have to train and work for your goals, which is awesome. The illogical menus and lack of some licenses are a let-down.
