The Fancy Pants Adventure is a very well made platformer that might be lacking in originality, but more than makes up for it in charm. A highly enjoyable romp.

Oil Rush manages to separate itself from the flock through a range of novel ideas and features, while still remaining accessible to all fans of the genre. It has a few flaws, but is still well worth getting.

Make no mistake, I think Lollipop Chainsaw is immensely entertaining, has plenty of laughs and offers a presentation and a concept so twisted that you'll really miss out on somethingby not playing it. But the actual gameplay is completely ordinary and average.

Not the most original game ever, and probably no replacement for Diablo III. Nevertheless, Dungeon Hunter Alliance is a solid dungeon crawler that absolutely shines in co-op (even on same screen). And you just can't beat the price. Well worth getting, but make sure you bring some friends over.

When it's at its best, you'll feel invincible, like the king of the world. But the flaws and mistakes of the rest of the game are hard to ignore.

A blast from the past, a type of shooter that just isn't made these days. Ridiculously fast, absurdly gory and deliberately silly. Certainly not for everyone, and the online play still needs some work, but if you're in any way tempted by this game, you should go right out and buy it.

As a tactical shooter, it starts out rather well, but quickly goes down hill. The AI is bad, the level design disappoingly linear and overly reliant on scripted events, the story is entirely forgettable. And as for the gameplay, it quickly devolves into a mediocre cover-based shooter rather than tactical variant it claims to be.

One of the best Kinect titles ever to be released on XBLA. Surprisingly fun, and if you have a Kinect for your Xbox 360, it'd be almost wrong not to give Wreckateer a chance.

For their next trick, Gameloft has decided to borrow heavily from Counter Strike. That means buying your weapons at the start of the round, and no respawns in most game types. Mechanically the gameplay is okay, but there are many technical issues, such as glitchy netcode, spotty matchmaking and long loading times. It's cheap though, and if Gameloft fix the technical issues, it could be a nice change of pace from the Battlefields and Calls of Duty.

Wreck-It Ralph works well as a nostalgic arcade compilation with potential for lots of shorter gaming sessions.

Solid fighting, social gaming, a surprisingly awesome gimmick and a great vampire story is what you get with BloodMasque. Vampire hunting has never been this much fun.

Great open world, tons to do, amazing visuals, naval battles and a solid soundtrack. Sounds great? It would be if not for the total lack of any challenge. The simple fights never propose anything close to danger and the feeling of repetition soon sets in. Assassin’s Casual yaaaar. So much potential wasted.

Even with a few flaws and missteps, FIFA 12 is a solid soccer game that will satisfy anyone who's been longing for just that on the 3DS. EA's clear understanding of the sport has led to an entertaining game that soccer fans can easily spend hours on, even if there's room for improvement.

Weak graphics and other smaller issues holds it back from greatness, but Red River is a solid war simulator with excellent atmosphere. Fans of tactical shooters should find plenty to like.

If you're looking for an insane playground filled with guns and cars while on the go, Gangstar Rio: City of Saints may be an option. But it does feel like a missed oppurtunity due to awful voice and over, and that's a shame.

Kill Team is not a bad game, but it's also one that never really shines. Unless you're a die hard WH40K fan, or are in desperate need of some local multiplayer action, you can safely skip this.

A surprisingly decent kart racer that could have been the Mario Kart of the Xbox with a few more tracks and a little more depth. At least this game was made for the proper controller, so no more sitting waving your arms.

Sadly, Thief is an experience best summed up as “uneven”. It’s charismatic, gorgeous and well-designed, but for every thing it gets rights, there are another two that go wrong, such as the bad dialogue, the unstable framerate, the lack of a jump button and the all too linear campaign. These issues keep pulling the player out of what could otherwise have been a very immersive experience.

At a glance, it might appear like a simple trip down memory lane, but spend some time with it, and you will find a game with an immense depth and great challenges. A good, exciting and alternative Castlevania experience, that might be too focused on multiplayer for some. Try before you buy.

Doesn't experiment too much with the TCG formula, but it's easy to learn and hard to master, making for money well spent. Sony Bend has obviously built the game with a lot of love for the Uncharted franchise, and that's why the game's biggest flaw is that it's just good enough to make you wish it was even better.

There's a shortage of content and the character creation options are rather limited. On the other hand, the combat system is very well done, and the game takes great care in recreating the universe. If you have no interest in super heroes or DC Comics, you can probably skip it, but if you want to pound justice into some crooks and villains, it's definitely worth giving a shot. For while DC Universe Online may fall a bit short in some areas, it still offers plenty of entertainment.

Two Worlds II is a solid role playing game that improves on its predecessor in every way. It's filled to the brim with entertainment and atypical situations that will keep you glued to your seat. While it's certainly not without flaws, the many good parts more than make up for it.

Sega's intentions with this game were undoubtedly good, but the story mode is lacking and the mini game collections paltry. There are much better offerings on 3DS than this.

A very pretty but tediously paced attempt at a God of War clone, in-app purchases might be optional, but that does not change that the game simply isn't that much fun for the four hours it lasts.

Take Gameloft's Gangstar games and add Spider-Man, Lizard and lots of web swinging in a huge sandbox then you have their latest Spider-Man game. Not as great looking as Total Mayhem and graphic wise really dependant on which iOS unit you use. Fun at times, laggy quite often but still Spider-Man. Not an amazing Spider-Man but a decent one.

The simple recipe of great level design, great controls and great gameplay still holds up better than most things, and we can only hope that Activision realizes that.
