    Is Joy Ride Turbo worth checking out? Absolutely! It doesn't reinvent the wheel and actually seems quite content to imitate the standard Mario Kart formula. However, that formula is pretty well realized, and even without an interesting license to back it up, it's a lot of fun to play with friends.

    Joy Ride Turbo isn't perfect, but does wind up delivering a more satisfying racing experience than its predecessor. It controls far better with an actual controller than without it and is delivers a lot of fun. The only qualms I have with it are the sterile world, busy work caused by searching for car parts, and forgettable music.

    Finally a fun racer with a great local multiplayer mode. Despite some sound issues and a flawed online experience, Joy Ride Turbo profits from the Kinect cut and delivers a fine racing game.

    This time around, it feels like an actual game and not just an extended tech demo. If you can shift down your expectations somewhat (and give up your dreams of breaking any land-speed records), Joy Ride Turbo delivers a solid arcade-racing experience.

    Joy Ride Turbo gets rid of motion controls and adopts the digital format, allowing it to become much more accessible and fun immediately. Due to its limitations, it's more recommended to children and casual gamers.

    Joy Ride Turbo is a good karting game that eliminates Kinect from the ecuation, thus improving control. However, it is still too simple and lacks content, and doesn't bring anything really new to the genre. Despite this, it can bring quite a lot of fun.

    It's a competent racer that could have benefited from better race and track design to make the experience a bit more enjoyable. Bland tracks, similar variations on popular power-ups, and no real sense of accomplishment for unlocks makes for a very boring racer indeed, and the lack of development into the game's one truly fun mode is a crime.

That's not to say the all car parts are a bad thing as they are real fun to collect with friends, am just saying that sometime there in real difficult places in the stunt park. It brings back the now forgotten four player split screen mode and local competitiveness. It puts the avatars to good use and the stunt parks you'll find yourself spending more time in than you thought. The Achievements gives the game some good replay value but even without it, it's 800 MSP, if u played it for one week and never again it would be good value. Solid 8/10… Expand

On se tire la bourre avec une IA agressive mais plutôt cohérente et on apprécie la conduite survoltée -et encore perfectible- mais très sujette aux dérapages spectaculaires.... qui remplissent la jauge de turbo !

    Les bonus récoltés aux hasard se révèlent hasardeux tandis que plus on avance, plus les voitures sont puissantes sur les 3 catégories disponibles. La dernière est carrément exagérée et devient très fouillis et très confuse alors que les courses partent vraiment dans tous les sens. Le nombre de circuits demeure en tout cas limité, ce qui conduit à un sentiment de répétition non négligeable.

    Enfin, malgré les graphismes simplets et neuneus, le jeu n'est même pas en 60 im/s... il peine même à soutenir les 30 la plupart du temps ! voilà donc ce petit jeu indé limité qui n'a pas réinventé la roue et qui n'est pas très doué non plus.    … Expand
