Battle: Los Angeles is a typical movie licensed game. Built and released in a hurry to coincide with the release of the movie, while throwing all notions of good craftsmanship out the window. It's not entirely bad, though, and had this been an iPhone game at the usual price range, it would have been a steal. But with so many strong shooters on offer these days, there's no real reason to play this game.

Despite a decent combat system and some surprisingly good animations, the many issues hold the game back from anything more than an average score.

With such a solid heritage to draw upon, its almost unbelievable how little of the original games that remain here. A hollow experience that quickly falls apart.

If you can live with the technical flaws, the boring AI and the lack of ambition, there's enough sci-fi shooting with a hint of strategy here to keep genre fans entertained for a few hours.

We are far, far beyond “so bad it’s good” territory here. Dark is a botch job, avoid it like a vampire avoids the sun.

Harry Potter turns into a wannabe third person shooter, and the result is abysmal. Movie-based games get a bad rap, and its because of titles like this one. We can't think of anything nice to say about it, not even when playing it with Kinect. It's a bad game from end to end, and has no redeeming qualities. Avoid at all cost, even if (or maybe especially if) you're a Harry Potter-head.

Nihilistic disappointed with Resistance for the Vita, and with Black Ops Declassified, they're scraping the bottom.

Feels as if the developers have tried to redefine just how bad movie tie-ins can be. The fighting system is boring, the overall structure is lazy, the graphics are ugly and the framerate is atrocious. But at least it's short.

The game is tedious and lacks variety, even though it claims to have over 70 moves. You have to go through seemingly endless repetition to unlock new opponents, and the actual combat is slow and boring. A waste of time.

If you were to judge the capabilities of Kinect based solely on Sports Island Freedom, you'd be likely to think the device was a horrible failure. The menu is a mess that's hard to navigate, and things just go downhill from there. The controls are awful across almost all disciplines. Get Kinect Sports instead.

Fun and simple mechanics, pixelated retro charm and nostalgic music. This could be a fun little distraction if it weren't because the game is full of in app purchases, so much that this has to be the most greedy attempt on grabbing players money seen in a long time. Too bad.

Do you want sad faces on Xmas? Do you like pointless mini-games with poor and confusing controls? Would you prefer everything looked like Wii party-games with slightly sharper graphics? Would you love to have to buy two wiimotes, two nunchucks on top of your Wii U and Gamepad to play with a friend? Then this game is for you.

Even given the low price, this is a terrible game in every way, and you have to wonder what happened to the quality control. It's embarrasing, and we can only hope Warner delivers a better game for the full-blown consoles – if not, they deserve a beating with the green hammer.

Life of George is fun in optimal conditions. If the light is good and you´ve got a friend to compete against, then this augmented reality/LEGO building game works surprisingly well.

Cars 2 on the handheld PSP is a simple but enjoyable slot car racing game that won't disappoint if you care about the characters. Decentf or a quick romp, but try before you buy.

A shameless rip-off and almost outright copy of Mario Kart, but also one whose shortcomings makes it abundantly clear why Nintendo rules the genre. There are better kart racers on iOS, most notably Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, but this is still worth a few spins.

Short but entertaining DLC package, that should entertain fans of Metro’s bleak world for a few hours.

Scream 4 mixes slasher movies with stealth gameplay, makes rather decent use of the Scream license. Sadly, it's held back by clumsy controls and an insanely short game.
