Comet Crash is a pleasant surprise with the slow stagnation of tower defense games by adding a new hook that is backed up by quality gameplay that hasn't been seen since PixelJunk Monsters.

Tokyo Beat Down could have been a cheesy beat-‘em-up that is still enjoyable, but clunky controls and gameplay keep it from reaching its potential.

As a stand-alone game Guitar Hero: Metallica is decent. The 49 songs in the game are all good, though it would be great to be able to export them to World Tour and have everything in one place.

Burn Zombie Burn doesn’t really give off the greatest first impression in the world since it seems to look like a dual-stick shooter but doesn’t play like one.

While Legends of WrestleMania has plenty of fun matches to participate in and a worthy roster to choose from, the streamlined controls and all-together easier difficulty make recommending this to veteran fans a hard task.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate, surprisingly, is not only better than a typical movie-licensed game, it’s better than a typical action game.

But buyers beware, the best way to play this game is through the DS, so while both the DS and Wii versions go for about $39, the DS version is definitely the better buy.

The Pitt is a worthy addition to the Fallout 3 name, but its enjoyable setting and storyline ends far too quickly for it to have any impact.

Though Wheel Fortune certainly has a lack of a decent visual presentation, it still does a good job of capturing the simple fun that the show is all about that it’s definitely a game fans of the show will want.

Though Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling adventure kind of ends on a sour note with a particularly steep difficulty curve near the end, the entire adventure is very much worth experiencing for any gamer that would like a challenging and quirky platformer with a load of charm on top.

Returning to its violent roots serves the game very well, and fans of the original top-down style of the first two games in the series are in for a nostalgiac treat. And when all the aspects come together, it’s a terrific package you shouldn’t be without.

Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution should have been a good rebirth of quite an entertaining boxing series. Unfortunately, the developer and publisher have fallen victim to the temptation of making a quick buck on the Wii while it’s still selling like crazy.

Fans of the series might consider this entry to be the worst in the series, but compared with many other strategy RPG’s on the DS, this one is actually quite solid.

It’s the crux of the gameplay that matters and Resident Evil 5 has chosen a path more brazen, more gung-ho than we imagined. The co-op campaign makes inviting a friend over for a double dose of zombie-extermination possible, and while this should get old, it doesn’t.

Peggle definitely makes the transition over to Xbox Live Arcade very well with the main game’s set of modes and two new multiplayer modes that makes it an easy 800 points, or $10, purchase if you enjoy the demo.

Overall, what you have a very well done effort by Ensemble Studios. They have taken a franchise that must be handled carefully, if only because of the fans, and successfully blended it with a completely different type of game.

If you’re the unfortunate baseball fan without a PS3, PS2, or PSP, you’ll have to make do with whatever you’ve been playing until now to fill the void of good baseball games to play while those on the PS3 should not even go beyond the demo in consideration of getting this game.

While not a lot has been changed drastically from last year’s game, MLB 09: The Show doesn’t mess with the great foundation and just focuses on fleshing everything out to go after the small things that can make good sports games great ones.
