DeathSpank certainly isn't a perfect game by any means, but it does a very good job of bringing the loot RPG to the consoles with a good story that made us want to search every inch of the world that Hothead and Ron Gilbert has created.

Despite its unfortunate lack of character development thanks to its new emphasis multiplayer and continued emphasis on grinding, Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies has one of the most complete and polished original RPG's currently available on the Nintendo DS, and it is well worthy of the franchise name.

Leliana's Song is an admirable addition to the Dragon Age: Origins storyline, but with only three hours of content there really is nothing here to write home about. Fans of the game that are looking to gain some back-story on one of the game's main characters should definitely check it out as it offers insight to some of the dialogue and story segments mentioned during Origins.

Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip offers a marked improvement over the first Hot Shots Tennis game with a much better single-player mode to anchor its feature set.

While Star Successor suffers greatly from a few shortcomings, the utter challenge and tight gameplay should be enough to keep the most hardcore gamers pleased for a while.

Clocking at just under 20 hours (single player), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is an exquisite game with high production values, airtight playability, balanced gameplay, and a fitting story to boot.

If you're in the mood for a good turn-based RPG and you don't mind if it doesn't take any chances, Hexyz Force may be a good fit for you.

The gameplay is just as great as its predecessor was, but the amount of new content and features make it the far superior game.

With a world bigger than you can imagine dozens of random odd-jobs for you to perform and a story that keeps you hooked from beginning to end, Red Dead Redemption sets the standard for what games will judge themselves on in the future. Never has a game been this immersive in both randomness and story moments, and the visuals and sound only add on to the beauty the game encapsulates for every player.

Trauma Team is a great new avenue for this series with more variety to the action and a story to actually care about. The campaign is a meaty 30 hours long with the option for co-op is most of the missions and additional difficulties to really test your skills.

3D Dot Game Heroes is a fantastic game that can scratch the Zelda itch for PS3 owners looking for some retro sexy action. Though we could see the main story being beaten in about 12 to 15 hours if you declined to explore the world, we explored enough that it took us 25 hours to beat the game and complete a number of side quests.

It’s just a bit repetitive and doesn’t quite have that extra little bit of lasting power. But it isn’t completely unattractive. Fans of the original should be pleased with this update, considering it doesn’t take too many liberties.

At first, Hyperballoid HD offers a nice, traditional brick-breaking experience with a ton of levels, but issues like the lack of high scores and leaderboards keep it from being an easy recommendation for its cheap $4.99 price tag.

Mutation mode is tons of fun for the Infected as it allows you to truly feel dominating, but the real adrenaline rush is for the Survivors, who have to communicate and have fast reflexes in order to survive.

An excellent DS RPG that feels like many of the best parts of previous games in the series and its spin-offs that have been streamlined greatly. There are some faults here and there that keep it from being perfect, but DS owners looking for a great RPG to get invested in will find a lot to like here.
