Bland visuals, rehashed game play, and constant bugs and minor irritations completely overshadow the core Heroes experience. These criticisms, along with the game's complete lack of new ideas, makes it the weakest entry in the long running series. Might & Magic: Heroes VII is best avoided and forgotten.

Codename Panzers: Cold War fails to capitalize on the moderate success of preceding titles in the franchise. A fabulous game engine and detailed physics simply can't hide what is essentially a basic RTS with limited scope.

It's the same as the console version, which means you still don't have a good multiplayer game, and it's still third person. Nice of them to port it - shame they didn't give us something to mess about with on a LAN.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a maddeningly repetitive experience and should be avoided at all costs.

As a survival horror game, Resident Evil 6 fails on almost every count. As an action game, it could be considered mediocre, and as a combination of the two it's little more than acceptable. If the main Resident Evil series continues along this path many long term survival horror fans will eventually tune out, and those who are keen on fast paced action may be interested to see what the series has in store next time round.

Despite some serious gameplay issues, The Godfather II is actually quite fun, in a morbid kind of way. Unfortunately, repetition and poor AI routines damage gameplay and ultimately sap the life out of what should have been a tremendous sequel.

World War Z is probably actually up there as film tie-in games go, and is capable of offering some nifty zombie action that can get your pulse racing. But once you've seen its tricks, it all gets a bit samey fast - faster because we've seen something very similar before - and it's hard to imagine it having much of a shelf life.

New players might feel a bit intimidated and frustrated at times by the many unexplained mechanics, but if the time and dedication is put into it, Spintires: Mudrunner can become a dirty but somewhat fulfilling experience you can return to again and again.

City of Brass is a fairly standard rogue-lite that distinguishes itself with its setting, visual stylings, and fun-as-hell whip.

WWE 2K18 is in desperate need of an overhaul. It's an entertaining game in WWE Universe mode, but most else is beyond retirement age, and many complaints fans have had for years have not been addressed.

Krillbite Studios' baby sim-cum-horror tale starts strong, but comes undone as it pushes into the supernatural at the expense of the real. It's often scary, but not always effective.

The lack of variation unfortunately keeps Zombie Apocalypse from being the great game that it could have been. It feels extremely repetitive and doesn’t offer anything that makes you want to replay it again. Otherwise, it isn’t all terrible.

Good gameplay but it’s nothing new apart from the background story behind the world of F.E.A.R.

Targeted at the younger set, this game is about as non-violent as a shooting game can get. One of the better Wii controller setups we have used. The game is a poor substitute for a real Nerf war.

Wheelman draws influence from a number of other titles, and fails to provide anything really new to the mix. Some initial excitement is offset quickly by repetition, and ultimately the game suffers for it.

The Walking Dead: Michonne's second episode features cinematic combat sequences and fascinating flashback scenes, but it is let down by uninteresting characters and scenarios. The game’s final episode has a lot of heavy lifting to do.

This latest Trivial Pursuit title is a great take on the classic board game. Although suffering from a few issues, it still has a lot to offer for armchair trivia veterans and casual enthusiasts alike. Ultimately the success of this game will be tied to the frequency and quality of DLC.

At its heart, this is a well-developed and in-depth RTS game. Highly recommended for hardcore RTS fans - but perhaps a little too complex for beginners to the franchise or genre.

FUEL is Codemasters’ and Asobo Studio’s post-apocalyptic sandbox racer. The immense game world, replete with a dynamic weather engine, is a stunning achievement. But FUEL appears to forget it’s a racer and consequently loses sight of what counts.

The Fable II downloadable content is a must-have for anyone who was looking for a reason to pick up Fable II again. Three new quests, a range of new items and weapons, as well as some great augments make the experience worthwhile. It certainly could have been longer, as it will only give you two or three hours of gameplay, but hopefully there will be further DLC in the future.

The fact is though, that while London 2012 is arguably the best Olympic adaption yet, it is just not enjoyable enough for long enough to warrant too much excitement. Might be a great rental for the kids though.

Initially appearing to be a kid's title, or glorified mobile game ported to the Xbox, Rotastic quickly proves itself to be 70 levels of great action puzzling full of zany humour, lovely backgrounds and nice attention to the smaller details. The physics are perfect, and Tarzan-ing it up is extremely enjoyable, even if you generally prefer games that use more than an eighth of your controller's buttons.

A rehash of the original title from the GameCube, with the only fundamental change being the controller. It’s fun but there are better tennis games out there, and the novelty of Mario playing tennis was fun back in the day but its relevance now seems somewhat lost.
