It may not be the best Trek game out there, but it really manages to capture the feel of commanding one of the most powerful vessels in the Federation, and it’s a blast to boot.

The one category where this game stands above others is the physics and controls.

You’ll have fun, and you’ll get a portable taste of gaming history that will remind you of why we’re doing all this fiddling around with these plastic doohickeys in the first place.

I’m not sure what it is but this game is just so much fun, maybe it’s the lack of shooting games available nowadays or the inclusion of the foot pedal, but this game is just so much fun.

Unfortunately, there is one area in Arcanum that truly fails to hold up with the rest of the game—the combat engine. Combat is overly simplified and feels a lot like it was added on as an afterthought.

The campaigns, especially the economic one, can be insanely difficult. Much of it begins to resemble a puzzle to be solved than a castle to be built.

The shortcomings in getting the player involved in the league mode are easily offset by the driving itself, which is strangely addicting even though it can be difficult and repetitive at times.

The gameplay bugs are so bad at times it almost makes up for all the great things about the game.

You’ll be given the pleasure of tricking and tearing your way through some of the most crazy and freakish settings that the sick minds at EA Sports BIG could conjure up in their conspicuously concealed laboratories.

The largest problem with this game seems to be the difficulty. The end-game bosses are seriously some of the hardest I’ve ever seen in a fighting game.

Simply put, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002 does so many things right that it’s hard to imagine any golf game that existed before it, "Links" included.

If you feel a sense of purpose, then it’s only natural that suspense will follow. Ecks vs. Sever’s creators understand that and have offered a fun, if sometimes confusing, story.

It has some great fighting elements as well as some of the elements from the Thief series and finally some adventure elements. Add that to a pretty good graphics engine and sound, and you have yourself a darn good game.

The game is the perfect combination of action and strategy-you do have to push buttons, but you have to push the right buttons at the right time.

On the Playstation, it’s (practically) just as fun [as the PC], but the additional flaws it picks up really cut into the experience. I’d seriously flag this as a “rent first” title.

Music is a mixed bag, ranging from tolerable to downright painful. Music should enhance the mood set by the game, or, at worst, should fade into the background.

If you’re a gamer looking for some simple, fast-paced auto action then look no further because it just doesn’t get any faster—or simpler—than this.

What differentiates Hunter from the other titles is the creativity in the weapons and monsters and something I like to call the 'oh (expletive)' factor. The 'oh (expletive)' factor is that 'oh my god' feeling when you see the amazing monsters scare the crap out of you in the game--and believe me they will.

The lack of a two player option and any sort of battery save really hurt this game. Otherwise, the whole of Pac-Man Collection is much more than the sum of its parts.

One of those games which can drive a gamer nuts. It tantalizes with a couple of neat ideas, but botches every else so completely it makes the player say, "Arrrrgh."

I give mad props to the guys at EA Sports for creating a game that so accurately captures the atmosphere of the World Cup, the only problem is, that’s all they’ve done.
