Monark is a fun JRPG with interesting characters and a unique story full of personality tests and high school drama. Though at times navigating the character can get a bit frustrating.

With a disappointingly short single-player and an unplayable multiplayer, CrossfireX doesn’t bring much to the table. Even with some interesting parts in the story, the shortcomings of the game are much higher in number.

Cute, fun, and quite literally fetching; Wytchwood blends all of its elements together wonderfully, although there is little reason to play more once you conclude the 10–12 hours’ worth of story.

Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires doesn’t do anything that previous games in the series haven’t already done. A lack of variety and graphical issues that should not be present in 2022 hold this back from being a must buy, even for die-hard fans.

Infernax is a great game that I highly recommend to anyone who loves challenging platformer games that sound and look great. Especially if you don’t mind figuring out what needs to be done next and aren't disgusted by blood and gore.

Costing roughly the same as a box of nuggies (£3.99), Void Slayer is a reasonable arena shooter which fails to grasp the longevity tendrils of gamers. Good for short bursts but only if you’re looking to scratch a very particular itch.

As a player, Fatum Betula hosts fulfilling gameplay, rewarding exploration with an atmosphere of thick nostalgia and childhood fear. As a curator, it is a brief exploration into auteur theory, and that direction is never necessarily important, only context.

OlliOlli World is a game that is full of personality and will challenge you to your core. It’s hard, but a ton of fun and very rewarding, however I'm warning you, expect a lot of swearing!

MouseCraft is a mix of two other great puzzle games, Lemmings and Tetris, that challenges your brain in an all new way. With great graphics and stages to complete, it’s hard to not get addicted!

Risk System is a new take on a familiar genre, you are rewarded for being risky and taking chances. The game is challenging with boss battles that can feel unfair at times, making you want to give up.

A brilliant take on the roguelike genre, Sifu is a game that is hard to beat, but even harder to put down. Timing, patience, and skill will see you to fulfilling your goal and exacting that sweet revenge.

With a storyline that is clearly angry at western values, Mr. Prepper can do nothing but try and stand out with a story that comes at the sacrifice of compelling gameplay. The attempts to challenge with a forced playstyle may turn off potential window shoppers.

Quite possibly the best FMV game ever, Not For Broadcast had me both laughing and scrambling in a panic when the channel's viewership dropped. Even if you’ve never had any interest in FMV games before, Not For Broadcast will surely change your mind.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a great sequel to a pretty good game. With fun traversal mechanics, combat encounters, and agonising choices in the story, it could be very much worth the playtime.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is well worth your time, the story and in particular the characters are some of the most fleshed out and unique individuals that you can’t help but grow attached to. The flashy yet deep combat system enhances what is already a fantastic JRPG. Any fan of the genre needs to check this out.

After great first impressions showcasing fun gameplay and interesting characters, it quickly becomes a fascinatingly bad example of mech combat, lacking feedback, foresight, and fair play. Unbelievably boring offensive capabilities, a nonsensical story, and hilarious voice acting which tries its best to stand out. Unfortunately, it isn’t enough to stand out.

DYSMANTLE is a dense survival adventure with many moving parts that come together very well for a tight experience, with a fun gameplay loop to get lost in. However, you can have too much of a good thing, and I think this can be the case over the very long run time of this game.

SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash is an incredibly addictive deck-building card game that has you collecting and fighting SNK and Capcom characters against each other. Making it look like you are playing on a Neo Geo is a neat touch but makes the game area very small making Switch hand-held mode quite hard.

Rainbow Six Extraction feels more like an expansion for Six Siege than a standalone game. It features a strong foundation that Ubisoft fails to build upon. Extraction can be a lot of fun playing with friends, but not so much if you plan on playing it alone.

If you are a fan of retro NES games with a challenge and a Mega Man type feel, this is going to be a title you won’t want to miss. Minus a couple of boss design choices and a buggy achievement system, this is a quality title.

A charming game that won’t make you use too much brain power, although the feeling of satisfaction Railway Islands gives you when finally making it through one of the tougher levels makes this relaxing puzzler a great way to destress after a rough day.

Timberman VS built on everything that made Timberman the great game it is but sadly the absolutely dire state of the multiplayer matching means a large portion of it simply cannot be enjoyed unless you have a built in friendship group ready to play or do so alone.
