A solid experience worthy of some small praise when it works, but Alder’s Blood: Definitive Edition is so marred by bugs that I cannot in good conscience recommend the game. God is dead and, so long as the game remains unpatched, God will remain dead.

A toy box sprawled out onto the floor of game development, Tux and Fanny is a brilliant mini-game parlour, with a satisfying narrative to match when it isn’t too busy trying to be a stoner-inspired stream of consciousness.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a phenomenal experience through and through, it didn't matter what area of the game I tackled, I found myself having a blast experiencing every single one of them.

Great potential wasted by seemingly random events, the dumb AI allowed me to constantly scam them with no backlash.

Young Souls is a fun beat ‘em up RPG full of action that can be played with one or two players. It has a fun and modern art style featuring characters that are full of personality. This is a must-grab for people who like unique gameplay and fantasy-style storytelling!

Strange Horticulture is a shining example of why indie games are worth the time to look into. The art, sound, and story show that simple and subtle design is truly transcendent when the execution is done well.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is close to being the Pokémon game I’ve always wanted, but falls short of perfection in ways that other games in the franchise have gotten right in the past. The sequel could very well be the best Pokémon game released so far.

Music Racer Ultimate is a high-energy racing game with brightly-coloured visuals that uses your choice of music to create the courses. There are some neat vehicles to unlock, but the flashing, pulsing visuals made it hard to play for a long time.

No Place Like Home had a lot of potential and a great idea behind restoring Earth and caring for the animals that inhabit it, it just forgot that home needs a family.

Derpy Conga is a challenging and satisfying puzzle game featuring a huge cast of derpy-looking characters, who chain together to explore and get past obstacles in their way.

Instruments of Destruction allows you to be incredibly creative with your vehicle builds and has great-looking explosions and effects when a building is destroyed, but the lack of really challenging objectives in the main game make it feel repetitive really fast.

Not only is WWE 2K22 better in every way than the previous game in the series, it’s arguably the best and most fun WWE title since the PS2 glory days. One that will certainly make you acknowledge the Head of the Table!

Certainly a title for Final Fantasy fans to dive into, even if it’s just to experience the story and read up on the lore, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has something for many gamers to enjoy.

In a genre of some truly fantastic games, Roguebook stands up there with the best of them. Whilst the story is minimalistic and the lack of world variety is disappointing , the engaging combat makes this easily one of the most polished deckbuilders I’ve played.

A simple adventure offering a short journey across a ravaged world, unfortunately the story doesn’t unfold as well as it could have done and the puzzles and platforming sections are very basic. Still, this is a relaxing trip worth setting sail for.

Kardboard Kings is a surprisingly active business management simulator that kept me entertained throughout my time with the game. However, it ends too early and there isn’t much to do afterwards other than collecting cards.

Watcher Chronicles is a great, challenging game with beautiful art and music. This is definitely a game for those who want to struggle against hard and difficult enemies and get that Dark Souls-like difficulty.

Shocking, controversial, technically broken, brutally forward with its presentation, and forwardly present in its mechanics, Martha is Dead wants nothing but a shocked gasp and an article made about its material. Mission accomplished, but at the cost of integrity.

The hit drumming series’ arrival on Xbox and PC is with several caveats, as without the famous Taiko drum controller, it’s thoroughly restricted. Thanks to a fantastic tracklist, however, the numbed sensation manages to provide infectious gameplay.

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is the perfect mix of pinball and roguelike games, with tons of zombies to defeat. Full of non-stop action, tons of unlockables, and a fun colourful artstyle, this is a game you absolutely have to play!

What Lies in the Multiverse pulls itself in every direction, trying to tell both a comedic and tragic story, which ultimately works against its favour. The gameplay is enjoyable throughout most of the journey but soon stagnates at an easy difficulty.

ELDEN RING is the most accessible entry to a FromSoftware title to date, with plenty of things to explore, do, and enjoy. Those even mildly interested by the premise should give it a shot.

A return to arcade, a return to the docks, a return to drifting, and a return to putting fun above all else. This is what Grid should be about, enough fun to be had with the story and career modes, but an absolute hoon with a couple of mates in multiplayer.

Broken Blades is a unique roguelike adventure platformer that lets you craft your own weapon to attack your enemies. Even on easy this game is quite difficult, and the lack of a map is frustrating.

One of the worst kart racers to be released in recent times, lacking decent track design, tight controls, visual flair, fair A.I, and is far from an optimised experience. Hideously broken on almost every level, this is something a “simple patch” cannot remedy.

Underwhelming in all aspects outside of the story and characters, Maglam Lord isn’t a game that will have you hooked from beginning to end, but there is enough here in its narrative for those looking for something a bit more light-hearted.

King of Fighters XV is a great looking and fast-moving fighting game that never slows down. With a huge selection of fighters, along with local and cross-play multiplayer, there is a lot here to keep you entertained!
