While Astria Ascending’s gorgeous world has a basic gameplay loop that can satisfy for a while, it lacks the knowledge to challenge minds or the spirit further. With no strategy in the later battles, a story moving too quickly to be poignant, and severely unlikeable stereotypes as characters, the lessons are forced and the result is grating.- GameGrin

Wonder Boy Collection is a fun group of titles for people who love classic games. The ability to rewind when you die or get hit is helpful to make progress in titles like Wonder Boy, which are known for their difficulty!- GameGrin

Killing Floor 3 does everything you want right, but at the same time, it lacks some of the magic seen in the older games.- GameGrin

Dungeon Souls provides ample fun for those who enjoy roguelikes. It borrows a lot from other games (Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, Nuclear Throne, to name a few), and while it doesn’t do much to differentiate itself, it’s still a fun dungeon-crawling hack ‘n slash adventure for quite a few hours.- GameGrin

Chinatown Detective Agency is a title that anyone who loves taking on the role of a gumshoe in a futuristic, pixelated world will enjoy. With clues, ciphers, and other mysteries to solve, this title will make you use your brain and challenge you.- GameGrin

If you’ve been harkening for something like Limbo, that isn’t Limbo, then take a peek at Monochroma. It’s a little frustrating to start off, but once you’ve got the nuances down then it all starts slotting together. As Nowhere Studio’s first title, I can only see their future games getting better as they go.- GameGrin

While WWE 2K18 does hit enough right notes for a recommendation, it still leaves something to be desired. As much as I like the style of these newer games, I miss being able to be as nonsensical as the older ones would allow. All in all, it's a toss-up for me.- GameGrin

Earthlock: Festival of Magic shows that the JRPGs aren’t games of a bygone era. It’s got it’s issues, but it’s still a fun game if you’re a fan of the genre. Hopefully, the developers will have the funds and resources in the future to deliver a more fleshed out experience, but for now, this game is just fine.- GameGrin

Spellspire is a game that knows what it is, and doesn’t aim for the stars. It’s a more than enjoyable experience worth the price tag. Those looking for a fun little game to play during downtime, or even something to distract the kids, can’t go far wrong here.- GameGrin

If you can look past the missed opportunity that is the lack of motion controls, and the fairly simplistic gameplay, you’ll probably find a title that is entertaining in short bursts. Don’t expect it to light your world on fire, though.- GameGrin

The platforming is dull, the puzzles are insultingly simple or totally unexplained and the game lacks enough character to be memorable or stand on its own. Unless you're really desperate, I would suggest you look elsewhere.- GameGrin

Undungeon is a great game with tons of unique innovative designs that I have never experienced. If the staggeringly large amount of text doesn't scare you off, and a sci-fi story is something you're interested in, I definitely recommend it.- GameGrin

Overall I enjoyed my time with Rust, it may need a few updates and features to really stand out, but even at this level the game is a strong contender in the survival game genre.- GameGrin

Even with its many imperfections, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated ultimately succeeds as an attempt to spruce up a 17-year old game. It doesn’t stand alongside the 3D platforming greats, but it’s a fantastic, humour-filled tribute to a beloved show. People less familiar with the yellow sea sponge’s exploits will find it harder to overlook the creaky, PlayStation 2-era quirks. It looks better, but that doesn’t mean it plays better than it did 17 years ago.- GameGrin

Though there might not be much to it, what Toy Odyssey does do is very well polished and extremely well done. The game play flows well, the art style looks amazing, and they’re complimented by gorgeous graphics with an amazing soundtrack. Digital Smash has obviously put a lot of care and effort into Toy Odyssey and a developer we should all be keeping a close eye on for the future.- GameGrin

I don’t know what’s left to say. If this was maybe at least half its cost I could easily forgive its misgivings, alas this isn’t a 7. Yeah I’m kinda gutted it isn’t better.- GameGrin

I would argue that Eventide 2 is one of, if not, the best Artifex Mundi games available on Xbox at this point. I truly hope that future titles share Eventide 2's trend of improving on previous games. Honestly though, you'll have to have played the previous titles to appreciate the changes this title has made.- GameGrin

Still Joking had a lot of potential in its plot, but the 400,000 words did little to introduce us to it and bring it to life, settling instead for short, inorganic quips, rushed ideas, and clichés.- GameGrin

Needlessly complex controls dragging down a robust system, a storyline uninterested in upping the ante to wacky hijinks or otherwise, and a world that fails to acknowledge your existence, Shredders performs self-sabotage by seemingly not performing at all.- GameGrin

A fun game for the fans who want to relive one of the most exciting arcs of the One Piece franchise. Lack of difficulty and appeal to those outside of the fandom and complex mechanics that can be easily forgotten unfortunately limit the player base. However with a variety of game modes that’ll have players coming back for more, this is a must play for the fans.- GameGrin

A great driving game, a poor racing game. Has some technical issues involving controller support and their idea of multiplayer is somewhat unusual for this genre. A game I would happily spend more time with, but can’t recommend highly in its current state.- GameGrin

Fairy Tail is a rushed spinoff that rarely has an ounce of the energy shown in its source material. It’s more ambitious than many other anime games, but the execution is severely lacking. So much so that, if Fairy Tail was just another cookie-cutter arena fighter instead, it probably would have been a better game.- GameGrin
