    Rust is an unflinching multiplayer survival game that requires endurance and patience in order to really unlock its potential. The dynamics it creates in terms of player interaction are endlessly fascinating and prove to be a real boon for organic narrative flashpoints between players. Its pure multiplayer focus does mean it doesn’t have what you’d call a traditional endgame, but it more than makes up for that with the unpredictability its social design brings.

    Rust Console Edition is, simply, a console port of an 8-year-old PC survival game that has managed to stand the test of time. It may not perform as smoothly on console yet but the desperate fights for survival against hostile forces still remains.

    Many titles share the core gameplay loop of mining, crafting, and conquering the world. So, what sets a sandbox like Rust apart? Almost nothing. It is a dynamic, immersive survival sandbox with none of the charm of other games in its genre. Its heart and soul lie in its unforgiving, player-driven, immersive environment. As a result, the world is utterly unpredictable, so no two servers will share a state of decay. Which is to say, if you like having no idea what’s gonna happen, this easily stands apart.

    Rust Console Edition manages to transcribe the wildly popular PC experience, but a few key missing features mean it falls short of what it should be. It could be great in time, but right now it feels like a disappointing misstep in comparison to the fleshed out PC version.

    Rust. A truly fun game on Pc has gotten its long awaited Console port. Boy was it bad. I received the game in the earliest beta stages and itRust. I received the game in the earliest beta stages and it was just horrendous, lagging everyone, textures not loading in, glitching through walls… well it was a early beta so I thought ok, let’s hope it gets better. Fast forward to the official release… it was just awful, the servers were almost immediately filled to the the hype of the game and wow, the servers just couldn’t handle it, the map was bland, had barely any of the pc portions in the game, it truly was a disaster. Flash forward to 2023, we finally have a good bit of the pc portions to the game such as Oil Rig, Cargo Ship, Train station and more Landmarks. But unfortunately the game is still broken. Every now and then for some reason you the player will be able to see through walls… and now just standard supermarket walls, I mean base walls… of opposing players. If that wasn’t bad enough if you were able to force yourself to lag enough while going into the base, you could interact with such objects as boxes, Unlocked TCs and even the Players Inventory, and take the loot inside them. I hope this game turns out well, but the port to console was bad and the game is still in bad shape. 4/10… Expand

Loading into a server takes about 15 tries, error after error and once you finally get in and get going you crash in the middle of no where and lose everything. Still alright to play with mates at points but in general for the price and the amount of time we have waited for the console port, not worth it.… Expand

    This game SUCKS for console please don't buy it. The only way to have fun in this game is have 10 people playing with you and you must playThis game SUCKS for console please don't buy it. The only way to have fun in this game is have 10 people playing with you and you must play all day if you would like to get good guns to fight people and then you would just lose the guns to a big clan. I played this game solo and it is not playable, I get a gun and just lose it to people simply because they have more players, no skill required in this game. A very good alternative to this game that I have enjoyed much more would be ARK survival evolved, it isn't just reliant on numbers of people and takes skill, there is modes where you don't even have to fight if you don't want to. Rust console has very little gameplay aswell and you could lose everything overnight because of your base being offline raided by a big clan. This game has very many cheaters I have encountered like people who can fly or people who have literal god mode there is also A LOT of bugs that are game breaking, the developers don't deserve any more money.… Expand

The initial bugs that appeared during early release got worse with the first patch release. The second patch release is where the game literally became unplayable, as I can not even load into servers because the game crashes while loading. I don't know when they may actually fix this game but I am honestly losing interest pretty quickly. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME… Expand
