The game is challenging and that’s how it should be, because without the extreme challenge the game would be about as exciting as Vaseline on toast. I can definitely recommend this game for lovers of platform games such as Super Meat Boy and Rogue Legacy and is certainly a welcome addition to the genre.

Will of the Wisps isn’t just a fantastic follow-up to an already great game, it’s a brilliant metroidvania in its own right, and arguably the year’s first major must-play release.

The PC version of Destiny 2 replicates the amazing gunplay the first game is known for. The visuals are gorgeous and the environments are so expansive that there is hours worth of exploring to be done. There is a huge amount of content to keep players entertained and almost all of it can be replayed with worthwhile rewards to be gained. This title lives up to its predecessor and has surpassed it in almost every way. For those looking for a casual shooter with a great story or for those who want to challenge themselves in raids and competitive PVP, this title caters to a wide audience making it a great experience all-round.

The game is great and every aspect of the game is positive. It’s not perfect though, having slight issues with the gameplay and story pacing. The good and fun things overwhelm the tiny amount of negative things making this game definitely worth buying.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is an excellent, goo-filled adventure with plenty to do on your journey from being a hapless fool to a genuine space hero.

There’s no doubt that Three Hopes offers a story that stands out from its predecessor. While it doesn’t have quite the emotional impact, it still offers plenty of a wild ride of twists and turns.

South Park: Snow Days! This game is full of humour and personality, combined with great visuals and music. It’s so much fun to play!

Zanki Zero: Last Beginning oozes both charm and horror in equal measure. It’s a highly enjoyable game that deserves a lot more attention than it’s getting. Perfect for fans of horror, mystery, and dungeon crawling RPGs.

A worthy (and free) successor to Life is Strange, and an intriguing teaser for the full sequel. Dontnod have improved on most accounts and look to draw in new fans with this prologue.

Prey truly is more than the sum of its parts. Don’t let its immediate familiarity or obvious influences fool you, because when you look under the hood, it’s not just Dishonored set in space.

A fantastic new entry into the Anno series, Anno 117: Pax Romana takes players back further than any game in the series. With deep, engaging mechanics, this is a must-play for both veterans of and newcomers to the franchise!

Weighing in at over 100 hours of gameplay, Persona 5 is one that you will want to spend time with. Brilliant voice work, a decent translation and solid gameplay mechanics make this one of the best RPGs I’ve played in a long time.

Black Myth: Wukong may look like another soulslike on the surface, but in truth, it is a fantastic action RPG with great boss battles, memorable characters, and my favourite mechanic of the year so far, Transformations. You can be a rock with legs!

Shame it can't be said about the multiplayer, but at least with the addition of intuitive SnapMap you can create your very own Hell.

SCHiM uses shadows in delightfully creative ways, turning ordinary objects into astoundingly helpful tools. This wholesome, vibrant 3D platformer offers an adventure that shouldn’t be missed.

He Fucked The Girl Out of Me is a raw and emotional experience dealing with trauma and scars. While it is not exactly pleasant, the message is one worth hearing. I recommend playing it yourself, but please note the content warnings.

Extremely Powerful Capybaras is a great roguelike bullet-hell game with cute characters and a fun battle system. The lack of tutorials and some bugs hinder it.

A great mix of a platformer, RPG and monster catching game Monster Sanctuary has so much depth and content to keep you busy for a long time. Feels like a great RPG from the 16-bit era, a ton of cool monsters to hatch, to aid you on your quest.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a great game for anyone who loves JRPGs or wants to check out Chrono Cross for the first time, or again. The updated graphics and battle mechanics make this worth the lower price tag.
