EA Sports MMA is going to have a lot to live up to when it launches as UFC Undisputed 2010 raises the bar for virtual Mixed Martial Arts. Is it perfect? No, not at all. But, if you put this side-by-side with its predecessor, the differences are like night and day. You could almost go so far as to say that Undisputed 2009 was the trial run and this is the real game.- GameFocus

If you have enjoyed online games like Phantasy Star Online and are craving something a little more in-depth, Monster Hunter Tri should be right up your alley. Be careful, though. Get in too deep and you may never come out.- GameFocus

Any fan of metal rock will find more than enough from both Metallica and the bands that inspired them. With great care taken to pick a stellar track list that best represent the band’s music this is a game that Metallica fans will not soon forget since it is most likely sitting on their game shelf now. If you’re a fan of metal music this is a must own.- GameFocus

We don't always need a huge blockbuster adventure like Uncharted 2. A game that is simply fun because it's a game. From start to finish, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle is that game.- GameFocus

Fantastic game, but it has times which are boring and they feel like a total chore to get through, but once you do get past those in the game the game becomes something unique, special and is a worth while must buy for any PC fan.- GameFocus

Killzone 3 might not be perfect, but it is still a fantastic game and well worth the investment. It improves upon a number of different things, doesn't remove anything substantial and should continue to be the de-facto, go-to FPS on the PS3 for a very long time.- GameFocus

I like to think of it as this year's Toy Soldiers, just based on the aesthetic alone. But that doesn't even come close to describing it. Will you like it? If you are a fan of the adventure/puzzle genre, you certainly will. The charm may be just enough to draw you in for a full purchase.- GameFocus

What BF:1943 lacks in depth compared to earlier Battlefield games, it makes up for in a simplistic and challenging multiplayer game. Twenty-four person matches feel fantastic and except for the odd laggy match, it’s a seamless and fun experience. If you can get together a squad, there isn’t a more fun FPS online experience for your money.- GameFocus

If there was ever an example needed to prove the point that games can not only be entertaining but educational at the same time, the Professor Layton series is without a doubt the best choice to show. There is certainly something for everyone with a fantastic story, a plenty of mystery and enough to really stimulate the brain.- GameFocus

Yes, NBA 2K9 is great. While Living Rosters and Five-on-Five online are noteworthy additions to the franchise, the game doesn’t feature much new stuff besides those two options. Instead, Visual Concepts tweaked, improved and continued to build upon several aspects the franchise has been accustomed to deliver year after year. It’s definitely good to see the improvement especially after the less-stellar 2K8. NBA 2K9 is the closest you will get to the NBA world and it’s definitely worth every penny.- GameFocus

Bloody, gory, ridiculous...no matter how hard you try to put it down, you will soon find yourself picking it back up. It immerses players in ways few fighting games - aside maybe from the last Capcom console outing - have ever done before. A tour de force!- GameFocus

Compared to Activision’s other music game franchise, DJ Hero isn’t for everyone since it targets a small specific group of people/gamers: those who have a disc jockey background or those who always dreamt to be one. Regardless of this, we have to applaud Activision’s willingness and audaciousness to introduce a new product. DJ Hero deserves a serious look.- GameFocus

Bulletstorm is an adult game that takes the principles behind Geometry Wars and sets it in a First Person Shooter shell. With a market saturated with thought-inducing fodder like the Mass Effect franchise and Red Dead Redemption, sometimes a thumping whip into a Flyswatter is exactly what the doctor ordered.- GameFocus

If you own a DS this is one title you must go out and buy and if you do not have a DS go out and buy one for this game as this is certainly by far the single best Role Playing Game on Nintendo’s amazing handheld platform. A near perfect game for RPG fans to enjoy for years to come.- GameFocus

Volition shows that you can still have a great deal of enjoyment from an arcade-style romp that relies more on giving players the tools to create a good time than it does on recreating the world we all currently live in.- GameFocus

For those who have been playing GT games since the PS1, Gran Turismo 5 will make them shed tears of joy. It may even make them feel like marrying the Blu-Ray disk. The incredible amount of content packed in is certainly what makes this title a must-see and not because it revolutionizes the genre.- GameFocus

If you’re new to the series and are looking for a good point to dive in, this is definitely it. The challenge is relatively the same as the previous offering but with Skate 2 you’ll be getting a more complete experience. For veterans, you’ll probably still be hooked thanks to the new features, but you won’t be able to shake the feeling that a bit more time could have been spent in order to make the game just that much better.- GameFocus

It’s not just an RPG, not just a Diablo-style dungeon-crawling loot-whore game; no, Borderlands managed to actually cram in some satisfying FPS combat that doesn’t feel tacked-on. It succeeds as both an RPG AND a shooter and for that alone, it's definitely worth your money and your time.- GameFocus

It may sound like a broken record of past years, but the 2011 version of Madden truly is an improvement over its predecessor. Though it's not by a lot, it is absolutely enough to warrant a day-one purchase, especially if you're one of those who skipped last year's game.- GameFocus

2D side scrolling real time strategy game is a rare game indeed, but Swords & Soldiers proves that a well designed game can work. Besides the odd minor issue with controls and the kid game feel of Swords & Soldiers this is one game I would recommend buying for strategy fans looking for something new.- GameFocus

This psychedelic rhythm rail shooter from Q Entertainment's famed game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi - the man behind Space Channel 5, REZ and Lumines - deserves your attention, love and care. Whether one or all three games I've just enumerated occupy a special place in your heart or not, there's no reason why this new venture should be skipped. Now, if your eyes and ears have never been exposed to Mizuguchi's genius before, the time has come.- GameFocus
