Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is not a bad experience, but it will for sure divide the fans. It seems like the studio had several good ideas, but that once assembled they did not make a good Final Fantasy game. This episode tried to convince the players by offering an open world and a certain freedom of action, but it fails in terms of storytelling. And technically, Lightning Returns just doesn't reach the level fans of Final Fantasy expect from the series.

This second episode is not as dynamic as the first one, but it keeps telling a very good story in a fascinating world with quite intriguing characters, asking you to make important choices for a future that seems darker and darker.

Fable Anniversary is an average remake that keeps all the charms of the original, but still suffers from technical issues and annoying loading times.

Whether on PC or PS4, Outlast is not so impressive visually, but it has a terrific atmosphere that will scare all players. It would have been better with a wide variety of gameplay situations, though.

With only one really interesting map (4 are new in this DLC) and a satisfying new episode of the Extinction Mode, Onslaught is a mixed addition to the CoD Ghosts universe. Acceptable but not a must have.

Well hidden under an aggressive F2P business model, there is a small tower defense that lacks a little variety to be truly good. The old fans of Dungeon Keeper will be disappointed by this come-back, that's for sure.

Blackguards is the Dark Souls of Tactical RPGs. Hardcore gamers will love its incredibly high difficulty, but most players will rage-quit.

10 euros/dollars for two hours of boring missions, one vehicle, five weapons and an uncharismatic character... Are you kidding me Capcom?

Backers will get exactly what they wanted: a beautiful, funny and well-written adventure game that feels like LucasArts. This is just the first act and it's already difficult and painful to wait for the conclusion to the story of Vella and Shay.

Battle of Z suffers from bad cameras and sometimes muddled gameplay, but it is still a nice brawling game... that really needs to be played online if you want to enjoy it.

This is the reboot we were waiting for. Beautiful, clever, expertly paced, it's a superb blend of action, exploration and puzzle. Definitely a great experience on PS4 and Xbox One.

OlliOlli is an addictive skateboard game that will stick you to your PS Vita screen for long hours. Too bad there is not so much content inside, but for this small price, and as long as you like skateboarding games, it's still a good deal.

Dr. Luigi's methods are closely based on Dr. Mario's proven experiences, but he dares to develop his own therapy through signature pills. This innovative approach speeds up the virus eradication, even though it has secondary effects, as the versus battles show. It's just a shame that only two players can benefit this treatment, since the fun provided is really contagious.

The tricky customs of these islands are refreshing, but this trip falls short of imagination considering the boards architecture. Moreover, the absence of an online mode confines this tour to a local scope, which is regrettable since the minigames provide lots of funny activities that make the most of the 3DS functions.

Visually pleasant, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a clever platformer with brilliant gameplay mechanics. Even if a few sections can feel a bit frustrating and Max's controls are a bit disappointing, this game offers a good challenge for those who like puzzles. Xbox One owners should definitely have a look at it.

The Banner Saga is an excellent Tactical/Adventure game mixing Bioware-like RPG with choices and consequences, and turn-based fights. It is not perfect in terms of gameplay, but it is visually stunning. We can't wait for the next episode.

The strength of The Cat Lady stands in its originality... as long as you are ready for an insane trip. Graphics are not the best we've seen so far, but it's still enough to appreciate the atmosphere and the story of this morbid adventure game.

Not The Robots is a little game that will probably entertain some puzzle/stealth fans, and those who are looking for a very challenging roguelike game... However, for most people, it remains repulsive and unattractive, mostly because of a cold and limited visual rendering.

Cutting these venerable NES games into challenges helps to learn their gameplay mechanics and relive some memorable moments, while the Remixes refresh this experience through surprising presentation tweaks and principles twists. But NES Remix lacks inspiration and consistency to stand as a definitive tribute to this fundamental era.

This new edition of Mario & Sonic is not so different from the previous one, it doesn't take advantage of the Gamepad so much and the online mode is unexploited. The game is still fun to play in family at home though, but we would have expected much more from it.

A great way to begin the second season. Playing with Clementine is great, dialogue mechanics are still enjoyable and action sequences, inspired by those from The Wolf Among Us, are happily more dynamic. A very promising inaugural episode, indeed.

Apart from a few new features ("Owner" mode and body feints), the new Madden NFL 25 is very similar to previous episodes, it has very little surprise for its fans and this next-gen version adds nothing to the experience.
