I have a weird love-hate relationship with Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. At times, it's nostalgic, it's nicely written story and its unique design just blows me away, but at other times, I simply hate its poorly designed interfaced, its lack of innovation and the simple fact that it never dares to try anything new. When it does something, it does it perfectly, but it simply doesn't feel like enough in 2017. It plays it way too safely for its own good.- Gameblog.fr

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is clearly the update Yakuza 2 deserved. The very talented people over at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios recreated the riveting Yakuza 2 plot while adding new side quests and activities. Even if a couple of elements from the original game are now missing, Kiwami 2 has more than enough content to keep players glued to their screens. It must also be noted that the Dragon Engine looks and runs better than it did in Yakuza 6. All in all, Kiwami 2 another great Yakuza game that fans of the series should not miss.- Gameblog.fr

The Persistence is an immersive, but not so scary, PSVR stealth game set in a spaceship full of zombies. It uses Rogue-lite mechanics in a good way, feels very punishing- but not impossible - and has some cool weapons to fight in its procedurally generated levels, that you can visit with a friend using a tablet.- Gameblog.fr

Shenmue I & II gives players the opportunity to experience slightly updated versions of two of the all-time greatest games. Even though we would have loved for Shenmue I and II to get real remakes, both games still have a lot to offer to 2018 gamers. Very few titles can claim to be as immersive as Shenmue I and II and it's great to be able to dive into its universe once more. What could have been if the port hadn't been so lazy.- Gameblog.fr

Detached is a pretty decent VR game, but the game is too short and you get lost most of the time.- Gameblog.fr

A morbidly amusing narrative in the backdrop of a facetious universe, along with hilarious characters and their puzzling torments, Flipping Death undoubtedly transpires coherence as an adventure game, proving that the genre still belongs to the world of the living.- Gameblog.fr

If the pop, British and psychedelic universe, inspired by Brazil, Nineteen Eighty-Four and Brave New World, proposed by Compulsion Games is surprising and offers a very immersive story, the mechanics of survival games and crafting ruin the plot of the game, giving an unpleasant feeling of a mutant game, too dispersed for its own sake and suffering from many technical problems.- Gameblog.fr

That's what we can call a pretty good start for the last season with plenty of promises based on what a grown Clementine is now for Alvin Junior. A few things have changed and we hope what's coming next will be good enough so that we can leave one of the best video game characters without any regrets.- Gameblog.fr

With a thrilling scenario that keeps the player spellbound until the epic ending, State of Mind, however, fails to captivate the player in the gameplay department, at least during the first half of the game. It remains a satisfying experience, with a real reflection on the excesses of a technology-based society.- Gameblog.fr

This Monster Hunter World PC version is not perfect, notably because of lack of details in textures definition and some errors in binding of keyboard. And the game doesn't support cross-platform. For the rest, the game is a good experience with lots of graphics options like a 60FPS possibility and more. We just need to wait for an HD textures pack to have the ultimate PC version.- Gameblog.fr

Picross S2 feels exactly like the previous game. It is still very addictive, but also unable to bring some real new stuff to the mixture, except a rebranded Micross mode.- Gameblog.fr

Chasm is a quite good tribute to some classic games of the Metroivania genre, with some pleasant retro style visuals. But many things are lacking - like some fresh ideas and a tighter level design - to make it more than a satisfying experience.- Gameblog.fr

Being in development for such a long time, Dead Cells avoids the trap and lives up to its expectations. Nevertheless, only those brave enough to face its strong difficulty will be able to discover a deep and generous adventure. Despite a certain level of repetitiveness, even though the randomly generated levels still are hand-driven, Dead Cells' offers a brilliant artistic direction and a great but discreet soundtrack.- Gameblog.fr

The Crew 2 did a good job on improving the original game. It's a little bit more of everything, and the new road/sea/air feature offers a lot of fun and variety. Some new race categories are much better than others however (the bike races are particularly bad), and the driving controls are still basic compared to what we can expect from a 2018 racing game.- Gameblog.fr

Train Sim World is an average game on PC and bad one on consoles. It has the great advantage of occupying a "niche" genre that is free of competition. Its qualities could satisfy the amateurs of railway simulation, but all the others remain at the station. It's a shame, because by modifying some elements of form and scenario it could have made the exercise attractive for a wider audience. Maybe future updates will improve it? Unfortunately Dovetail's habit is rather to offer many expensive DLCs. We hope this will change ...- Gameblog.fr

Yakuza 0 is one the best Yakuza games and it's a game that PC gamers should not miss. Fun and overflowing with content, Yakuza 0 allows players to discover Tokyo and Osaka's red light districts as they were during Japan's "bubble economy" years. SEGA Europe did a great job on this PC port as the game has never looked so good.- Gameblog.fr

Wario Ware Gold feels like the very best of the series to this day: with a few new mini-games and many old ones, this episode cannot hide the feeling of redundancy. But with its 300 microgames, many crazy modes and a ton of WTF gadgets, every player can now experience the craziness of Wario Ware. Too bad the hardcore crew already knows most of its content.- Gameblog.fr

Nyamakop has successfully completed the requirements for a good puzzle-platformer: a charming art direction, with part of the world made of playdough, and a creative gameplay experience that allows the player to shape the environment. A little too short, Semblance is definitely a worthwhile game for the Nintendo Switch.- Gameblog.fr

Playing Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 makes us wonder why Capcom split the Mega Man X series in two. With the same bonus as the first compilation, you are left with episodes X5 to X8, which carry the license with them into an abyss of torpor. Why would you get this second part? We do not know either.- Gameblog.fr

This first Mega Man X compilation might seem a little short on content, but the pleasure to play through Mega Max X1 to 4 might be enough for most gamers of the 90's. With a wide museum gallery and some interesting bonuses, this collection just fail to deliver new strong modes, even though the newcomers will be more than pleased by the Rookie one.- Gameblog.fr

This third episode of The Council contains a large amount of technical issues, among which the many and tedious loading times, making the exploration less pleasant than it should be. Despite all this, the plot is finally moving on and all the choices made by the player seem to have a real impact on the story as a whole.- Gameblog.fr

I Hate Running Backwards is a correct proposition that stays true to the sources of video games: everything is based on gameplay with simple but proven principles. The result is a game without pretension, but that will occupy you for hours with friends or solo. Too bad it has not been polished a little more with other game modes, including classic online modes (in co-op for instance).- Gameblog.fr

Earthfall is not a bad game. But it's also far from being a very good one. It's biggest problem is the lack of epic fights. In a FPS you expect a good feeling in weapons but here every weapon feels like a paintball rifle - not enough recoil and not enough feeling of power. Overall, the game is too generic and too close of Left 4 Dead but without the fabulous mechanics. A game to have a bit of fun for one evening with friends, but nothing more.- Gameblog.fr

It's totally possible to be intrigued by what Hungry Shark World has to offer on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. It's a simple game with easily understandable mechanics. Sadly, progression is quite laborious and dull, and outdated visuals and loading times are definitely not helping.- Gameblog.fr

In 2016, Playdead has delivered a masterpiece of a game to the world. Most accomplished and thrilling than Limbo, Inside can now be enjoyed everywhere on the Nintendo Switch. Basically, it's the same game, which is certainly not a fault. We're now anticipating what will come next from the brilliant minds of the Danish studio.- Gameblog.fr
