With 80 mini-games and 13 modes of play, Wii Party easily becomes a new standard for party games. It's richer and with more variety than a Mario Party, it's smarter, faster, fitting more easily any kind of game you want to have ! Sure, you need friends - it's a immovable rule of the genre, so don't expect to enjoy this one solo either. Sure, there's always some mini-games and modes that are less inspired than others, but globally, its density and fun factor remain quite high, even without Mario and his gang.- Gameblog.fr

Font Mission is like a 1995's Virtual On, but without Sega's talent, both in terms of game design and customization options for you Wanzer. Oh, and the production values are clearly not on par with what one can expect from an average current gen HD game. If it wasn't a quick buck drawn from a prestigious name, I don't understand what Square intended to do with this.- Gameblog.fr

Compared to the king of the genre, UFC Undisputed, I must confess I have a personal preference for EA Sports MMA, thanks to its accessibility and "easy to pick-up" philosophy. UFC remains the deepest of the two, and benefits greatly from its official license, but this first foray of EA on that front really establishes it as a serious competitor. It's especially true if you're looking for online play, where EA's experience is really shining in comparison to UFC. So if you're not already a hardcore fan playing UFC, but just someone who's interested in starting up with something more noob-friendly, EA Sports MMA is just for you.- Gameblog.fr

It's rather clear: Fallout New Vegas is everything Fallout 3 should have been. Well, in terms of freedom and storyline that is, since from a technical side, it's as disappointing as ever. All we can do is pray and hope for their colleagues id Software to lend Bethesda a decent engine - Obsidian couldn't do miracles with what Bethesda's coders gave them, and sometimes it even ruins some nice gameplay ideas like their crafting system. But in the same manner everyone overlooked the flaws of Fallout 1 & 2 because their creators were storytelling geniuses, Obsidian's work on New Vegas is good enough to make us forget about all the lesser details - except maybe the overall lack of challenge.- Gameblog.fr

One may have a lot of preconceptions when witnessing such an apparent carbon copy of Samurai Warriors, but with a little time to overcome them, Capcom's game finally reveals its differences and qualities. With its over-the-top and satyrical side, it succeeds in establishing itself as a different take on the genre. it's even a well executed take on it, both technically and in terms of gameplay.- Gameblog.fr

Quite frankly, now that the point and click genre seems to be reborn again, with quality titles like the Sam & Max series or indie gems like Machinarium, it's hard to be lenient. Even though it has a decent length, and could satisfy some casual gamers, I can't really recommend this dull and soporific Black Mirror 2 to anybody. Even to be mean.- Gameblog.fr

With its ludicrous storyline and its super-cool characters, Ghost Trick blows a fresh wind on DS adventure games. Its designers undoubtedly loved making it. Capcom didn't lie on the goods. After a brilliant success like Phoenix Wright, its designers have done it again. Congrats.- Gameblog.fr

Putting some difficult years behind, the 2011 edition of PES has become attractive again. But if it's been able to catch up in any way, its more with what was expected from previous editions than with its competitor FIFA. On almost all fronts, except its interface, formation menus, and ball physics, EA's title seems superior. PES remains an excellent football game, and will be loved by many, but like the "Oranje" team of Holland, its latest performance isn't the best ever, especially when compared the other team.- Gameblog.fr

The Writer follows in the footsteps of The Signal. In terms of gameplay, thanks especially to a better, more daring level design, it will serve fans with some nice sequences. And story-wise, well, it wouldn't be a compelling thriller setting if all questions were answered, but it still delivers a fulfilling end to this first season, while leaving a door open for a second one. But if we are to dive in it one day, it will need to rise up to an entirely new level in terms of gameplay, this time.- Gameblog.fr

It's too little, too late. With fierce competition to hinder its efforts, Medal of Honor fails to provide, both in terms of quantity and quality, an alternative of choice. It's still an above average experience, but the campaign remains stuck between the realism angle and the needed fireworks of the genre, unable to impress on either one of them, while the multiplayer sacrifices deepness and precision in order to remain more accessible and bridge the imaginary gap between Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare. No co-op, too few maps, a globally poorly designed from a gameplay and tactics standpoint, stuck on top of an otherwise good game design ; too bad.- Gameblog.fr

Despite some ideas and a will to deliver a comprehensive game (the virtual coach, cards, touch screen based games), FIFA 11 DS remains a poor attempt at providing a respectable soccer game compared to its HD counterparts. It's ugly, there's no AI, and in the end, kids without high expectations might enjoy it, but it's probably my duty to inform you that your little brother will be better off playing a good ol' Nintendo World Cup on your dusty Game Boy.- Gameblog.fr

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a profoundly generous action-adventure game. Filled with content, gifts for fans of the series, but for video game lovers as well. It's full of nods to other games and movies, rich with a large variety of gameplays and lush environments... blessed with an overall Castlevania feel, which is a consistent mark of respect for its forebears. Kudos to Mercury Steam. Despite some rare issues with some gameplay tunings, we can only hope for them to meet the success they deserve as we'd welcome a follow-up!- Gameblog.fr

FIFA 11 is huge. Filled with licenses and data, amazing production-wise, with photo-realistic visuals and incredibly truthful animations, EA's simulation delivers a convincing gameplay paired with a thrilling atmosphere. From the rumbling of its stadiums to the hit music of its menus, this 2011 edition fills us with joy, as it's surprisingly able to innovate yet again, despite the franchise already being the frontrunner. Praise the 11 versus 11 online play with the ability to play as the goalkeeper. You're more of a manager. The career mode is there for you. Add several subtle additions here and there, and this year yet again, we'll have to call it "the king FIFA". And if the way EA Canada has paved up until now is any indication, it seems the throne isn't ready to waver.- Gameblog.fr

They didn't risk too much for this last iteration. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is mostly designed for the gamer fan seeking the Full Combo thrill. Its production values are more than fair, its playlist well furnished, and you can always import tracks from other versions for a small price. If you're fond of the tracklist, you can get it; if you're more like me, expecting more innovations, and expecting to play the plastic guitar somewhat more like you'd play the real one, maybe you'd better wait for its main competitor.- Gameblog.fr

The older gamers will find it a little too slow-paced, but My Sims Skyheroes still has some appeal for younger ones. It's a light and enjoyable plane game for kids to enjoy either solo or with their friends, even though we'd hoped for a more inspired design for a broader appeal.- Gameblog.fr

Sure, MySims SkiHeroes doesn't shine by its undeniable aura, but boot up the console and you may be surprised by the enjoyment its little planes will procure. Overall, its rather nicely done and fun to play, and even though it might not be the game everyone's looking for, both the kids and their parents could very well be surprised at how it can bring peace at home after some argument at the game store cash register.- Gameblog.fr

Even though there are some mistakes here and there (let's say it's youth related), F1 2010 probably remains one of the best F1 racing games ever. It's reminiscent of the old Formula One on the original PlayStation, and even better, of the legendary F1 '97. But a thousand times more comprehensive and realistic. Its career mode grants it an enormous playtime expectancy, and racing over the internet or against the clock is a delight best served with long evenings to fully enjoy it. Well, that's it : F1 2010... what else ?- Gameblog.fr

If you have not played the game since its release, Heavy Rain Move Edition is the perfect opportunity to do so. Its price is reduced and it contains all the released bonuses (DLC, soundtrack, PS3 themes) in addition to an all new 45' long making-of video. However, the PS Move controls (the main new feature) are very disappointing... But nothing prevents you to take your trusted Dual Shock back, and discover a truly exceptional game.- Gameblog.fr

Firaxis succeeded. Easy to handle even for the newcomer, but still as rich as ever with multiple gameplay systems to play with, Civilization V will easily seduce the strategy-savvy. The lack of religions will maybe be covered in a future expansion, but even as is, it's a must-have in the genre. Plan your sleepless nights far ahead, and get a recent enough PC to handle it. Yup : this, too, is called evolution.- Gameblog.fr

Few are the areas where Halo : Reach doesn't benefit from Bungie's obvious intention to deliver a definitive farewell episode. Aside from french voices and music that are simply good (but not as fantastic as one would hope every single aspect to be), and new covenant weapons slightly off when used in the solo campaign, Reach delivers a brilliant solo experience. The story may not be surprising, but it's a well told one. Reach remains awe-inspiring for its implementation, scope, diversity and richness. Those who will have to carry on the flame have a high bar set there for them to surpass.- Gameblog.fr

We usually just play video games. With Amnesia, we play at scaring ourselves. You need to build some kind of relationship with this game, and let yourself be drawn in. If everything goes well (or rather, badly), you will really scare yourself shitless, and ask for more. Amnesia costs only 15 euros. There's a demo you can try for free ; if you're not afraid at all after playing it, then maybe it's not for you - but it's easy to try, and would be a shame to miss such an adventure.- Gameblog.fr

Sports Champions really offers a lot of good fun, either alone or with friends. Most of its games are technical and interesting to play (table tennis, frisbee and archery are excellent!). It also uses well the PlayStation Move, an impressive precision accessory that offers really good and realistic feelings. Still, the game lacks a bit of variety, events, game modes... and you will have to buy at least two PS Moves and a camera to play, which will probably makes you hesitate!- Gameblog.fr
