Kinect Adventures! gives a fair idea of what Kinect's basic gameplay is about, but through only 5 mini-games, among which only one may be fun beyond the first 3 or 4 tryouts... Suffice to say, it's not much, and you will most certainly be tempted to quickly do something else. In other words, start looking for a second game to pick up if you want to use your shiny new Kinect.- Gameblog.fr

Kinect Sports is a nice surprise among the launch line-up of Kinect. Granted, it's nothing outstanding, but still good fun. It's easy to pick-up, and family-friendly. And actually pretty physical! All we would ask is a new iteration with more mini-games, fun and ideas.- Gameblog.fr

Dance Central succeeds thanks to its sexy playlist and design (especially its interface), but its movement recognition as well. Pro dancers and rythm-disabled alike will have fun playing it. Some will find challenge in reproducing all the choreographies, others will put the hip dancing moves tips to good use. Too bad the game doesn't have a lot of modes, a way to create our own choreographies, not a larger playlist (fewer than 40 tracks). But Dance Central works: it makes us dance and laugh.- Gameblog.fr

Let's be clear : Kinectimals won't be able to capture an adult's attention for long, but let's not forget that it's not made for them. But it's easy to pick up and follow, beautiful, and unbeatable when it comes to making a child smile : yes, the magic works. There may be some latency, and indeed sometimes Kinect seems to react in an odd fashion, but the overall experience remains solid. Touching, even. Probably the most immersive and moving pet game to date.- Gameblog.fr

Blood Stone has been a weird experience for me. Its playability is dynamic but wonky, its production values are really inconsistent, its linearity fades a little when playing in difficult mode, its solo durability isn't so great but its multiplayer remains nice (though not great), and the non-stop action would be charming if there wasn't that repetitiveness. Pros and cons, to sum it up. Blood Stone will not be a future reference, that's for sure, but Bond fans may still enjoy it.- Gameblog.fr

A reasonable price for a title that has a definite advantage: it has no real competition in the genre, and fans of Games Workshop won't hesitate for long. The online mode is rich and full, it has evolved over the patches, coaches' Rankings, league... If you like this universe, if you like strategy and if you can stand the injustice of the dice, go for it.- Gameblog.fr

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 will easily satisfy every wrestling fan and probably entertain the tourists of the ring. The game is very complete in terms of game modes and choice of wrestlers, and it perfectly recreates the atmosphere and the fun of the discipline. However, it lacks some real innovations: the graphics looks a bit old, many bugs are still there and the single player mode is a joke. We hope that Yuke's Media will raise the bar next time.- Gameblog.fr

Outerlight (The Ship) came up with a boosted version of its favorite genre : the murder game. And works rather nicely ! For 5 euros / 400 Microsoft Points on Steam and Xbox Live Arcade only ? Seriously: it's a good deal.- Gameblog.fr

The Ball feels a little like Portal: a simple concept for a short title. But sadly, a too easy one. One passes through the game without really wondering about anything... but it's still a nice journey that Teotl offers us.- Gameblog.fr

This console version of the Sims 3 will be able to satisfy fans of the series and will more importantly allow console gamers to enjoy the thrill of creation and divine impartiality thanks to the addition of the Karma. If the added exchangeable contents and new features work, we sill regret that only the Wii version of the game has real exclusive original content (multiplayer, ability to live on a houseboat...) on top of better ergonomics thanks to the Wiimote.- Gameblog.fr

Costume Quest makes it clear that Double Fine may not be used to developing games for the little ones : the humor and gameplay seem shy. It dares, but not too much. If you have a 10 years old kid wandering next to your game console, Costume Quest would probably be a better fit for him than GTA IV. That said, when I was that young, I was playing Ultima II.- Gameblog.fr

Ghost of Sparta is a tech demonstration that knocks out any competition on the PSP. Its combat exudes an unmatched feeling of power and exhilaration, and the epic directing we've come to love is back, as thrilling as ever, from start to finish. It's another unmissable iteration for the series for beat'em up and kratos' fans alike, even though its story isn't really its strong suit, and some attempts at offering novelty in the gameplay aren't that convincing. It still works beautifully. We still hope next time, the developers will risk a little more in order to bring some novelty into the mix, even though with such an IP, it's obviously a difficult thing to achieve.- Gameblog.fr

It's hard not to see flaws in this Fable III, which is less convincing in many areas than the previous one. Its inconsistent production values (sometimes beautifully executed, sometimes lacking a lot of polish), the over-simplification of some things that are sometimes not that efficient, the less than inspired bestiary: potential reproaches are numerous. But despite all those, Fable III, like it predecessors, remains so charming and mesmerizing that it works. The coop mode is a bliss (at last), and even though the "being King gameplay" is clearly underwhelming, one cannot be bored by this new Albion. Yes, Fable III could have been better polished and more ambitious, but it's still a game unlike any other.- Gameblog.fr

Even though this new story could have been a little more varied in its missions, one can only salute, once again, the talent of the studio. Marvelously implemented, and surprisingly adequate when combined with the western theme, this interpretation of the classic zombie myth is both comprehensive and efficient. The gameplay is profoundly (and interestingly) changed, and as usual with Rockstar, the value for price factor remains its strongest selling point.- Gameblog.fr

Even though we weren't expecting this DJ Hero 2 to make new waves in the music games genre, we'd hoped it would fix some of the flaws of the original. But it isn't. In the end, this new title can be summed up to a new musical selection with but a few minor additions, some of those being dispensable (freestyle and singing). A title that will still appeal to the rich fans of the original, if only for its new tracklist, but still smells like laziness.- Gameblog.fr

In the Gothic games I once knew, to grab the teeth of a Razor, you had to know the required skill. To cook meat, you had to sit next to the fire and get your frying pan out. When you entered a house to steal something, you were promptly tossed outside by the owner. To progress, you had to study the factions. There was life, there was atmosphere. ArcaniA : Gothic 4 is but an empty shell masking no RPG, but just a poor action game with an undead story. What a waste.- Gameblog.fr

With its refreshing pitch and mystical atmosphere, A Shadow's Tale seemed like an original game. But if this innovative side is well expressed through the visual, it's not in the gameplay, which is inspired by a variety of other existing games, but without any inspiration to merge all this in a clever way. A Shadow's Tale main flaw remains its lack of pace, variety... and fun. A game that can catch our eye very quickly, but can't keep our interest up very long.- Gameblog.fr

There are but a few ways to play with food, which are so fun, that we'd gladly welcome some kind of extra meat-based dessert coming from Team Meat. Addictive, funny, perfectly balanced, Super Meat Boy is all the way up there standing side by side with a famous plumber, or a well-known hero with no arms nor legs, in the world of the platformers. A game we'd prompt you to enjoy with friends on your couch, potato chips on the table, and a couple of bottles to drink from, so they can laugh at your demise, or dare to pick up the controller for you to do the same. Meat's yummy!- Gameblog.fr

I wasn't a big fan of the series before, but I must confess : this Trackmania Wii simply blew me away, and really hooked me back up with this special type of racing game. The quality of this game is noticeable in almost every aspect of it, and it's easy to get addicted. With its particularly long solo mode, its build-it-yourself aspects, and its nice online play functionality, it seems that Trackmania Wii will become a favorite for many gamers. It's already one for me!- Gameblog.fr

WRC 2010 seems to be coming back from the dead, at last... Even though some will undoubtedly have trouble getting past its mediocre visuals. Indeed, it's hard not to mention this with GT5 coming up. But despite this less-than average technical side, and lack of weather conditions to spice things up, the game remains fun and consistent in terms of content, modes of play and driving sensations. Its simulation is precise and accessible at the same time, thanks to several settings to choose from. Let's hope next year's edition will correct the visual flaws of this one.- Gameblog.fr

Full of twists and odd plot turns, Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is a well put together episode. With 165 puzzles, its as enchanting as ever backgrounds, its appealing story and well directed animated sequences, you can expect hours of fun. Sure, the formula is starting to repeat itself a little. But its magic still works, even though one may find some less well-paced dialogs, and a more "casual"-oriented appeal. They don't interfere with the fun, and that's still a very nice journey to live... through time!- Gameblog.fr

Vanquish is a refreshing adrenaline shot that can only be welcomed by TPS and action fans. Too bad it's so short, and some bosses have a tendency to come back a little too many times, or that there isn't some multiplayer feature too enjoy this fast-paced gameplay among friends. Nevertheless, Vanquish is so epic, blessed by a gameplay so precisely crafted, that it's easy to overlook these flaws.- Gameblog.fr

This new iteration of Cities XL just lacks a little depth. But the solo gameplay is now more comprehensive (thanks to the inclusion of public transport, for example) even though there are still some issues like the freight. Unfortunately, the multiplayer disappeared in this refinement process of the previous iteration, without much to make up for the loss in challenge. Indeed, you'll have to do with the joys of management alone, or, of course, the simple pleasures of building lovely cities.- Gameblog.fr

With fantastic production values, and epic combat, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Storm 2 is a fan dream. Nonetheless, the first part of the game remains tedious, because of some less than inspired game mechanics, that finally disappear later on in favor of the core ones. The game then becomes clearly epic and inspired, the story is magnified, and if you're looking for killer Rasengan or epix Chidori moves, it's the game you want.- Gameblog.fr
