Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition is a good re-edition, with a small amount of bonus content. In 2019, the game is still pretty enjoyable.

GT5 pushes the realism of the race even further and has very, very rich content, with classic races and also new additions like Karting and NASCAR. We also warmly welcome the cockpit views, the new race circuits and all the 1.000 cars. But above all, whether with the wheel or the controller, the driving sensations are really, really fantastic. Unfortunately, some stuff remains committed to values that could be described as "outdated", particularly in terms of AI, sound effects, collisions and damages. We would also have expected much better weather effects, and we regret that only 200 Premium models feature cockpit views and high poly-count. Frustrating. Graphically uneven, GT5 seems to have been finished in a hurry (same with the online mode). Of course it remains a safe bet that it would be a shame to ignore, but as early as now... we can't wait to play GT6!

Gray Matter entails thanks to a very good story from Jane Jansen, with good characters and rich situations. But the gameplay will be a disappointment for point & click fans. Too easy, it also suffers from some real flaws in design, shortcomings that have a knack for killing an atmosphere that the production values already have trouble to maintain... If the story is all that matters to you, then it's well worth playing.

Kero Blaster is a magnificent run and gun, colorful, well-designed, offering a great curve of progression. Even if it can be considered a bit short, it can be played again and again with the same pleasure and some personal challenges in mind.

As usual, EA Sports tries mostly to upgrade the previous edition instead of trying to revolutionize. NHL 20 has some strong new animations, a new visual identity, game modes that feel better than ever and the whole feels smoother. It's solid but lacks some unforgettable feature to be a true star.

With 80 mini-games and 13 modes of play, Wii Party easily becomes a new standard for party games. It's richer and with more variety than a Mario Party, it's smarter, faster, fitting more easily any kind of game you want to have ! Sure, you need friends - it's a immovable rule of the genre, so don't expect to enjoy this one solo either. Sure, there's always some mini-games and modes that are less inspired than others, but globally, its density and fun factor remain quite high, even without Mario and his gang.

Hellbalde: Senua's Sacrifice is a Hell of a game. A gorgeous, scary, crazy, oppressive and unique experience with a great setting and story, different and loveable heroine and some interesting gameplay mechanics. Maybe the best surprise of summer 2017.

RIGS is a great surprise in the PSVR launch line-up. It offers an intense gameplay, tactical battles, and an interesting learning curve.

If you are addicted to Enemy Unknown, then we can only advise you to upgrade it with Enemy Within. This DLC fixes all the problems of the first game and enriches tactics and management.

Street Fighter V is a game with one the best gameplay experiences and online modes of its category. But the lack of solo modes will disappoint the casual gamer.

Outer Rim is an honest DLC offering beautiful cards, a new and fun way and some attractive novelties. For holders of season-pass it is a very good opportunity to do it again. Indeed, the content does not necessarily justify the 14.99 & euro;. Unless you are a big fan of Greedo or Nien Nunb. It's up to you.

Without changing the basic principle mixing rythm game and strategy game, Patapon 3 introduces some new things and some tweaks that will appeal to both the newcomers and the others. With 4 characters rather than a mass of Patapons to control, and a revised progression system to go accordingly, the tactical aspect of the game ventures to new horizons, while remaining efficient. It's still a demanding game, sometimes unfairly difficult, but also more accessible (by displaying the rythm combos at the bottom of the screen) - a progress for some, a shortcoming for others. Overall, it's still as enticing as ever thanks to a spot-on design, and muscis on cannot get out of his head by simply turning the power off.

The Outer Worlds 2 ticks all the boxes of a successful sequel, building on the solid foundation of its predecessor to offer an even more ambitious and complete RPG. We are therefore treated with a true "role-playing game" in a video game format, which offers enormous freedom in the way we approach its universe of impressive coherence and fine writing, very beautiful to contemplate, and always with the caustic humor of the franchise. It also offers pleasant and modern gameplay that does not stand out against pure FPS / TPS. However, we will have to deal with a staging that seriously lacks spice, a very perfectible artificial intelligence, and the fact of limiting ourselves to the specialization of a part of the available skills. At the risk of finding ourselves greatly handicapped over the course of a main quest that is ultimately less exciting than the side missions that punctuate the adventure. One way like any other to make us want to start a new game, if finishing the adventure in one go with a very generous lifespan was not enough. An Obsidian game as we like them, in short.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the best way to play through the entirety of DBZ's story. No other Dragon Ball game even comes close when it comes to immersion. While imperfect (the frequent and long loading screens are a pain for example), the game is a must have for any fan who has ever dreamed of living in the Dragon World.

While many expected recycling, Intelligent Systems has yet managed to get all his imagination to create the first Paper Mario on a handheld console. Sticker Star is a fabulous ambassador for stereoscopic 3D, as its paper universe is the ideal material to illustrate the aesthetic qualities of this technology. The scenario and fights are excellent too.

This 2018 episode is still an excellent baseball game, but it hasn't change much compared to last year's edition... MLB The Show series would definitely need a serious competitor to surpass itself.

Like previous Clubhouse Games, the title of 51 Worldwide Games says a lot. Its sobriety hides true gems, transposed in virtual form with so much care that they would almost supplant reality. A tremendous homage to the games' roots and diversity, which everybody around the world can enjoy anywhere, anytime, whether solo, with friends or online partners, depending on the moment's aspirations. While this collection ups the ante on action, odds still favor classics, and Nintendo even draws few ambitious experiences gathered in this chest full of treasures, decidedly made to last, and play.

Skyrim on Switch is still an excellent RPG that has everything to keep you wandering in its vast open-world for a long time. And everywhere.

The Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U port is rather successful, although playing with the GamePad is not easy at first. Fortunately, shortcuts on the touch screen are nice, but that being said, nothing beats a good arcade stick of course! Another interesting point: you can play on the GamePad screen itself. Regarding game modes, the Mushroom Mode is good fun, but not for long, and the online mode works pretty well. In short, TTT2 on Wii U is as good as the other consoles versions, but its new features, funny at first, finally don't bring so much to the experience.

Outerlight (The Ship) came up with a boosted version of its favorite genre : the murder game. And works rather nicely ! For 5 euros / 400 Microsoft Points on Steam and Xbox Live Arcade only ? Seriously: it's a good deal.

Donkey Kong Country Returns was clearly made by fans for fans of the original on the Super Nintendo. For trained gamers, indeed. Because behind its alluring colors and refreshing world and atmosphere, lies a spicy challenge, sometimes even a cruel one. Not all levels are as such, but two types specifically aren't as precisely tuned as the others, and become somewhat frustrating. But the experience is undoubtedly well thought, blessed by inspired mechanics, even if its diversity remains below the original. A great game, but not a Royal one.

Thanks to a clever difficulty, fights with brand new situations, a rewarding exploration and a beautiful soundtrack, Death's Door is the perfect well-balanced experience of this summer, despite a very light pathfinding.

Gran Turismo 7 is far from being the best racing sim out there, but it's a love letter to cars, and it shines in more ways than just pure racing. It's also about collecting and highlighting the beauty of cars. A must-have for every petrolhead.

A nice addictive game, which offers great freedom in solving investigations. Despite the mini games are not always convincing and a relative ease, this is a great reflection game.

Based on Mario's best sports experiences, this selection would fully deserve the title of multi activity champion, if it hadn't been too influenced by the (super)star system.

Level-5 was right to take its sweet time. Almost eight years after the original game, Ni no Kuni II is as strong as its predecessor. Beautiful, varied, well paced and well written, the game almost ticks all the boxes of the J-RPG we all expect, even though it might be a little too classical and clean to surprise the core fans of the genre.
