You can easily spend a lot of time playing even one game to completion, but by the end you’ll probably wonder if you would have been better off getting your noodle baked by watching some anime or slowly roasting ants under a magnifying glass on a cloudy day.

The gameplay and puzzles are spoon-fed to you in easily swallowed bites, but much like Chinese food, when it’s over you will be full but not terribly satisfied.

Happy Feet Two is easily the best movie-inspired game of the holiday season…perhaps the entire year.

A Space Oddity continues the great gameplay and adds in some new modes like the story as well as the customizable mode where you can create your own landscape to conduct your Worm Warfare.

Puzzlegeddon offers considerable fun for people of all ages with some surprisingly deep gameplay lurking under its simplistic graphics. It may not be for everyone, so download the trial before deciding to buy, but I think that the 800 points (or about $10) is well worth the price for the fun you'll have.

If the only console you own is a Gamecube – steer clear of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. But if you happen to own a PS2 or Xbox – pick up one of those versions and you will have an awesome holiday.

This is just one of those games you can pick up and play on a whim for two minutes or two hours. The game can get quite addicting as you try to shave seconds off your delivery time while sneaking in an extra jump or a few more yards of crazy drift.

Goldeneye for the DS as a first person shooter James Bond title is a great game, but as a representative of the classic Nintendo 64 game, it falls a bit short.

With the many varied objectives and the third person mode there is a nice change in gameplay that is quite refreshing from the usual kill all the enemies or get to a certain point on the map.

SK8Land seems to have all of the right ingredients that should make for an awesome handheld Hawk experience - but for some reason, the final product just is not all that engaging.

All-in-all, Time Machine: Rogue Pilot does exactly what it sets out to do – provide gamers with a unique match-three experience. The shooting-based gameplay definitely adds a new mechanic to the aging genre, and while I was not all that impressed with the hidden-object minigames, they provided a nice change of pace. Do I think it is better than Puzzle Quest, 7 Wonders, or Bejewled? No. But it is a solid puzzler, and with an MSRP of $6.99, gamers can hardly go wrong.

It doesn't really expand on the story but there is a nice diversity of gameplay and specific playing styles based on the characters and their levels.

While there are some glaring flaws that should not have been overlooked, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is a pretty decent game that will satisfy Spyro fans and capture the attention and interest of new fans as well.

Sure there are the usual hiccups such as localization but for the most part White Knight Chronicles is a solid title with some room to grow as far as the online portion of it is concerned.

Shining Force EXA is most likely going to be enjoyed by fans of Shining Force Neo, as it is essentially a sequel. If you're not one of those gamers, then just skip it.

Sure it’s short and the online game is disappointing, but the core campaign is challenging and lots of fun. Those with a visual sweet tooth will love the eye candy this game has to offer, and the sounds of war have never been this dramatic.

This stylus-only control scheme can also make the game more difficult and even a little frustrating.

I can’t even imagine why EA removed half the stuff they did. They had a rare opportunity to capture the hearts of a new generation of gamers, but serious basketball gamers will likely head over to the 2K Sports camp, at least this year.

Using objects in the environment to give enemies a beating is always kick-ass, and each character has their own abilities that are, at the very least, solid and enjoyable.

As an attractively illustrated adventure game with very mild difficulty levels, Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park probably isn’t a bad choice for younger gamers or fans of Nancy Drew who might enjoy it as a short, interactive comic book. If you’re looking for something like the PC Nancy Drew games on the DS, though, this title is probably not for you.

The presentation value is worthy of its own television series and the gameplay is surprisingly challenging and sometimes downright difficult.

While Sydney is certainly more enjoyable to look at than Sam Fisher or Solid Snake, the simplistic gameplay, lack of stealth, and TV-targeted visual style is likely to appeal only to fans of the show.

A fantastic action-strategy title that not only captures the essence of Star Trek, but delivers a diverse amount of content that spans 40 years of history and three eras of Trek lore. This is a must-own title for anyone who claims to be a Trekkie.

The XMP modes are outstanding and the gameplay is fast and furious, but no less challenging or problematic when you take the twitchy controls into consideration.

It was a nice alternative to a lot of the other “mindless” games I play on the PSP and other game system, and I really believe it did sharpen my brain, at least from a mental awareness level, each day I played it. I don’t think it really improved my language or math skills, but that’s also not the purpose.

Personally, Aby Escape came out at just the right time. I love Temple Run and games like Temple Run but was getting pretty tired of that game. This is a fresh visual take on the classic run-until-you're-caught gameplay loaded with charm, great art style, cheery music, and addictive gameplay. And best of all, it's free unless you want to pay to unlock stuff faster.

A great diversion for everyday games – but the lengthy storyline and unlockables are ultimately only going to appeal to die-hard fans of the series.

A good game that could have been a great FPS title for the PC if just a little effort had gone into porting this over from the consoles.

I recommend Wild Arms XF to anyone that is looking for a new challenge or another reason to buy a PSP. Strategy RPGs just don't get any better than this.
