The space theme could've been carried further, and the weapons need way more originality, but that doesn't stop A Space Oddity from being one of the most refreshing Worms in quite some time.
-
No online multiplayer! Not like we generally expect that from Wii games, but we should be able to by now.
-
Continues crawling forward in the same vein as its predecessors, and it does very well for itself in the Wii.
-
n-Revolution Magazine UKWorse still is the complete lack of online play. Why are Wii gamers constantly gipped of this mode? [Issue#21, p.72]
-
This is not going to be everybody’s perfect Worms, but the odd controls and odder mini-games definitely set it apart from the rest of the series. As the subtitle suggests, Space Oddity is unique.
-
Aside from a story mode and some amusing unlockable minigames the only discernable difference between Space Oddity and the Worms games of ten years ago are the Wiimote controls.
-
Worms: A Space Oddity is another uninspired game which brings nothing new to the series. The special Wii-controls to use weapons is funny, but also very gimmicky. Besides that the space theme brings absolutely nothing special, unless you've always wanted to blow up blue worms.

JohnjJan 15, 2010Terrible game. I am a huge fan of Worms, I play it almost daily in Nintendo DS. But the Wii game was just completely awful.
