Atelier Rorona is a simple game, that while it does not intend to be the greatest and most epic effort ever made, it succeeds at what it aims at: creating an interesting system that is accessible and complex at the same time, in the background of a varied and inviting world, falling short only when it comes to some performance issues and on rather low resolution textures.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition is a long but accurate title, as this really is the definitive edition of the eighth chapter of the Dynasty Warriors series. With its immense amount of content and competent gameplay, this version of Dynasty Warriors 8 is a very enjoyable and long-lasting experience and it's only harmed by an occasional feeling of repetitiveness and some fluidity issues on multiplayer.

Battle Princess Madelyn is not without its problems. While its arcade mode is easily the most enjoyable, it also ends up defeating the purpose of including a metroidvania component in the game. With a high difficulty level and some memorable cut scenes, it also has some gameplay issues that require solving and which stand on the way of making this a more recommended title.

Sheltered features plenty of options and some interesting base ideas. When in motion, though, there's a lot that is left unattended, as the game leaves a lot of things unexplained for the player to find out, when in many situations it would be most useful to have some additional backup. Its rather difficult navigation does not help and the overall experience ends up being harmed.

It offers plenty of content and variety when it comes to its game modes, but this version is far from its full potential and will rely on updates and additional elements to improve the experience, not to mention it has a high number of technical issues which need to be solved in the near future and that there are points which need more than just updates in order to make GRIP a memorable game.

Nairi: Tower of Shirin is an interesting point and click proposal for the Nintendo Switch, one that features a captivating art style, an involving plot and a fluid control system. Its accessible difficulty level and rather short lifespan make it more recommendable to those looking for a simple experience who will find many reasons to enjoy themselves with this piece of work.

The Gardens Between is a marvelous work that will immerse the players with its unspoken, unwritten plot, gorgeous art style and innovative gameplay mechanics, all in a game that is certain to appeal to the player's physical and emotional perceptions.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures brings to the Nintendo Switch one of the most iconic gaming series, originally developed for the PC and which has found its way into nearly every platform out there. While the main essence of the series is here to be found and developing theme parks is fun and engaging, this adaptation is mired by technical issues which should have been corrected and being based on the mobile version means the experience feels oversimplified, the Nintendo Switch deserved more than this.

Yo-Kai Watch 3 is easily the best game in the Level-5 trilogy and one which makes it worthy to hold on to the Nintendo 3DS. While the game's main plot is hardly its most interesting asset, its top-notch technical execution, the amount of new content and the urge to explore its new locations all contribute to make this the finest game of the trilogy and open the curiosity for what the series still has to bring.

Horizon Shift '81 is a proper tribute to the 1980s-style space shooters, featuring most of the style's conventions and an assortment of contemporary add-ons that make it a very appealing game for hardcore enthusiasts. With its simple and intuitive gameplay, visual art style and customization options, it only lacks a multiplayer and an online component to tick all the boxes in the checklist.

Onimusha Warlord is a classic that is easily recommended for fans of survival horror games with a samurai-related plot component. Not too reliant on its plot, the gameplay is accessible and fun, featuring some well thought out puzzles and a good environment, despite its rather short length. If anything, it makes the player want more from this delivery and hope the next one will be more ambitious.

Grim Fandango Remastered delivers exactly what it promises: a remaster of the noir comedy classic, with all the elements that made it an iconic name in the gaming world. Featuring improvements that bring the game closer to the current generation while keeping its overall structure exactly where it has always been, Grim Fandango Remastered is a very good option for newcomers and veterans, even if the former may find some of the puzzles unclear at first.

Rain World is an indie experience that does not try to hide its difficulty level but which will no doubt find plenty of fans warming up to its very well crafted world and art style. Its gameplay may feel frustrating at moments but Rain World is overall a very involving game that will get players to lock their attention on the game.

ABZÛ is not proposing to be an action packed experience and there's nothing wrong with that, the problem is ABZÛ delivers very little in terms of gameplay experience, no matter what angle is used to look at it. Beyond its marvelous looking environment and absolutely mindblowing soundtrack, ABZÛ leaves all its promises unfulfilled, aggravated by the fact that it becomes obvious this game could have delivered so much more.

Ultra Space Battle Brawl features enough elements to be an appealing experience, especially for those looking for an experience that seeks inspiration in old school gaming classics. Where the game fails, however, is at making its best points more sustainable and the experience becomes tiresome too quickly due to a feeling of repetitiveness and to a lack of game modes.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams brings its mix of gorgeous artwork, fun and competent gameplay, enormous amount of content and customizable soundtrack to create an enjoyable platforming experience that is certain to find its place in the Nintendo Switch. In a series that owes its original fame to an instance of copyright infringement, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams demonstrates that it has made a full transition into maturity and built its own identity.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe brings two of the most iconic 2D platformers of the Wii U to the Nintendo Switch under one game in an edition that represents the peak of what those games can achieve, there's no doubt on that side. What it does not manage to do, however, is to provide incentives for those who already know the originals well enough, for those players New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will simply feel like a repetition of a previous experience.

Horizon Chase Turbo brings a good and involving racing experience to the Nintendo Switch that succeeds at paying tribute to arcade classics of years gone by. With its simple but effective gameplay, enormous amount of content and top notch soundtrack, Horizon Chase Turbo may not reinvent the wheel or be a racing game revolution, but it's certain to captivate racing game enthusiasts.

Less of a game and more of a fitness application, Fitness Boxing is fun and competent at what it does, and provides many ways of customizing the experience to the player's taste. While its soundtrack is far from being the most fitting to its theme and the motion capturing does not always translate what the player actually does, Fitness Boxing's variety and added handheld character make this a fun and entertaining experience as far as fitness games are concerned.

Moonfall Ultimate has some ambition when it draws inspiration from several renowned hack and slash and beat'em up games. The problem is, while its plot is minimally interesting and engaging, the game doesn't really present anything else that will strike a chord with the players and the combat system, its life and soul, is simply too dull, uninteresting and overly simplistic to give any trace of fun while paying Moonfall Ultimate.

MagiCat has a lot of company within the platformers' genre. It may not be an outstanding masterpiece but it does have elements going for it, such as its lifespan, a visually attractive style and a good level of challenge. It doesn't open the gates of immortality, though, as it can end up feeling too repetitive and is just not as groundbreaking as its biggest influences but that does not mean fans of platform games should not give it a chance.

99Vidas is a beat'em up that's competent at following the genre's conventions and which exhibits an interesting art style and soundtrack. Regardless of that, there are several elements which harm the game's experience, including some frustrating gameplay elements and a feeling of repetitiveness which make 99Vidas less enjoyable on single player modes.

Hover may feature an interesting art style and concept but the overall gameplay experience is a major disappointment. Due to its disengaging mechanics, regular framerate problems, maladjusted camera angles and overall feeling of repetitiveness, Hover ends up falling short of its major objectives.

Rogue Legacy comes with some good ideas that break away with some of the roguelike genre conventions. Its combat system is simple and fun and it features a progression system that can motivate players more easily to advance. While it still suffers from of the genre's ills and its difficulty level is not correctly implemented, Rogue Legacy has something that can appeal to fans of the roguelike genre and beyond, also thanks to its very good audiovisual environment.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two follows on its predecessor and delivers a competent plot, with good moments of humour, a good voice acting work and an improved combat system. It doesn't fulfill all its promises, though, as the game lacks epic and captivating moments and not all technical issues have been solved before release, with overall problems in capturing the player's enthusiasm.

Unfortunately its tutorial segments are too long and cumbersome, the game is too blatantly based on the Ghostbusters movie license and its low level of difficulty renders the game's tactical component rather irrelevant.

Velocity 2X brings a very high-paced shooter with platforming elements to the Nintendo Switch and one which manages to both welcome new players and put up a significant challenge to veteran players. Thanks to its fun gameplay mechanics, non-linear levels in the most advanced stages of the game and overall variety of the game experience, Velocity 2X is another welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.
