    While I think Nairi: Tower of Shirin had a potential to be a perfectly-scored game, I have to dock enough points to keep it just below it. Subject yourself to the setback of an unsatisfactory ending but experience an otherwise extraordinary graphic adventure. I highly recommend you to join Nairi and Rex on their journey, and hope that I get to join them on a sequel very soon!

    Tower of Shirin felt like just the right length to me and didn’t leave me feeling like I had played half of a game, but the cliffhanger ending leaves Nairi way short of fulfilling her quest. I don’t see this as a strike against the game, but being forewarned may save some people from being disappointed.

    The story is conveyed well via good writing, with enough twists and revelations that make it feel like a children's show due to the subject matter and higher stakes involved. The puzzles are great brain teasers but also have the good sense to not fall into the trap of being difficult for the sake of it. Most of all, that art style is too attractive to pass up, with every character being extremely likeable. Provided you don't mind the cliffhanger ending, Nairi is a worthy pickup for adventure fans.

    While the journey is more important than the destination, the fact NAIRI lacks a traditional conclusion - leaving many arcs and themes in a resolution limbo - hurts the narrative considerably. Considering just how much the story focuses on Nairi as a character, a cliff-hanger ending that places emphasis on plot comes off structurally inappropriate at best. That said, the script, atmosphere, and puzzles all warrant at least one playthrough. Tower of Shirin might fall much flatter than it needed to thanks to a poorly realised ending, but NAIRI, as a whole, is a charming point-and-click with plenty of heart.

Its accessible difficulty level and rather short lifespan make it more recommendable to those looking for a simple experience who will find many reasons to enjoy themselves with this piece of work.

    Nairi: Tower of Shirin is a beautiful-looking title, but finishes feeling rather rough and unfinished. There are plenty of puzzles to enjoy, but the script takes some strange turns and I can’t help but feel like there should have been more to the story.

I know a lot of people are "afraid" when game containt puzzle. But in Nairi, puzzle help player immerse more into the story. Puzzle don't break the gameplay and OST is really good. Can bring some nostalgy. There's a lot of situation that make me laugh in this game. That's the points of a well-make point&click game.

For the price you pay You'll not only get a few hours of a game that let's you feel the heat of the desert like you're really there, no, you also get a bunch of lovable characters which will guide you through a mysterious world and walk along side you as you solve puzzles and riddles while unraveling the Veil which conceals the Secrets behind "The Tower of Shirin"....

    In my opinion definitely a game worth buying and playing even

    Questa “fiaba” di Another Indie mi ha trasportato in un    [ITA] NAIRI: Tower of Shirin, la settimana enigmistica in formato “fairy tale"

    Questa “fiaba” di Another Indie mi ha trasportato in un turbinio di emozioni sempre più incalzanti, dove un’iniziale banale storia di una ragazzina rapita da banditi è diventata qualcosa di più: una vera e propria avventura “punta e clicca” a colpi di puzzle.

    Nairi e la fiaba-rompicapo per tutta la famiglia

    NAIRI: Tower of Shirin è ideale per tutta la famiglia, in quanto non c’è pericolo di incappare in scene violente, schizzi di sangue o mazzate date di santa ragione al povero malcapitato nei paraggi (neanche con “stelline” annesse per mascherarne la violenza), come potreste trovare nella maggior parte dei videogame odierni. Qui si va’ avanti con l’intelletto e al massimo si prende in giro la protagonista, Nairi.

    Insomma giocare all’omonimo NAIRI è come sfogliare un libro di favole interattivo, in cui potrete costringere coinvolgere chi vi sta accanto a aiutarvi a risolvere misteri e rompicapi sempre più difficili per scoprire il vero ruolo di questa “maschiaccia”.
    Non fraintendetemi, la trama di questo indie è intrigante e coinvolgente nonostante la tendenza a evitare certi temi non infantili. Aspetto di cui sono rimasto positivamente stupito, perché all’inizio della trama non si nota così tanto e più si va’ avanti e più si vuole scoprire quale sarà il destino di Nairi. Tutto ciò anche grazie alla magistrale composizione dei dialoghi completamente tradotti in italiano (grande punto positivo), sebbene con qualche sbavatura non nella forma ma bensì nella composizione del testo, come potete vedere nel raro esempio sottostante.

    Punta, clicca e… puzzle

    Partendo dai primi minuti di gioco fino alle più avanzate fasi dell’avventura di NAIRI: Tower of Shirin la costante è un senso di iniziale miscuglio e ingarbugliamento di elementi, indizi e personaggi. Tuttavia man mano che si ha un quadro più ampio della situazione diventa anche più chiaro che ogni pezzo ha il suo posto nel puzzle. Nelle mie ore di gioco ho infatti dovuto non solo risolvere vari rompicapi, ma anche scovare oggetti sparsi negli scenari di gioco e talvolta unirli tra loro con risultati esilaranti (ciao Gunther!).

    Una piccola parentesi sulle bellissime ambientazioni disegnate a mano di NAIRI: Tower of Shirin, insieme agli splendidi acquarelli delle cutscene, è d’obbligo. Così come dirvi che la voglia di andare avanti è stata spinta anche dallo scoprire nuove ambientazioni e personaggi.
    ornando ai puzzle, il bello di questi ultimi è ovviamente risolverli trovando il gusto incastro per tutti gli elementi. Il senso di appagamento dopo aver risolto il rompicapo di turno è degno del tempo impiegato. Garantito.

    Ovviamente va’ detto che se siete giocatori “alla Fortine”, con la pazienza di una vespa inviperita e gli stessi riflessi, NAIRI: Tower of Shirin potrebbe mettere a dura prova i vostri nervi.
    Tutt’altra cosa per gli appassionati di enigmi e affini (ecco che vi riporto al titolo dell’articolo), che non dovranno sottovalutare quello che gli si parerà davanti: alcuni puzzle sono veramente ben congeniati e vi potranno rubare anche una mezz’ora per capire come risolverli. Lo dice un appassionato, non troppo accanito di enigmistica.

    Purtroppo ci sono anche dei punti negativi, seppur marginali. Primo fra tutti è la longevità di gioco che vi intratterrà per appena 5 ore all’interno di questa avventura grafica. Poi aggiungerei anche la trama lasciata aperta, la quale sembra proseguire abbastanza chiaramente al di là dello stesso NAIRI: Tower of Shirin e che quindi ci porterà a un sequel (non ancora annunciato).
    Infine, ma questo punto è più che altro personale, mi ha dato fastidio la mancanza dell’auto “skip” dei dialoghi. Ovvero quella opzione di gioco che permette di godersi la lettura di ogni finestra di dialogo senza dover cliccare per scorrere alla prossima.

    Conclusioni
    Concludo dicendo che nonostante i punti “negativi” appena elencati, NAIRI: Tower of Shirin è un gioco realmente godibile. Intratterrà soprattutto gli appassionati di rompicapo e gli permetterà di coinvolgere anche chi gli sta accanto nella risoluzione dei puzzle, con una trama a misura di famiglia ma non banale o smielata come si potrebbe pensare all’inizio di gioco.
    In più il prezzo di 10 euro su Steam lo rende ancora più appettibile, e ben si bilancia tra contenuti e longevità offerti dalla softco HomeBearStudio.    … Expand

I am a puzzle gamer, and even after seeing the solution online, I could solve it, but not figure out why. That was frustrating.
