All things considered, NBA 2K25 continues to improve what was already a top-notch sports simulation last year, mitigating the issues raised by the community and continuing to beef up an already substantial package. The structural innovations in both the offensive and defensive phases have fully convinced us and the new Era dedicated to Steph Curry and KD's Warriors has genuinely excited us. There are still some problems related to microtransactions (admittedly less pressing than last year) and to the Career mode dedicated to women's basketball, significantly less nourished than the men's one, but overall we are talking about a success almost across the board. 2K and Visual Concepts' basketball is in dazzling shape.

A good combat system, solid even if not original, is mixed with a boring plot.

You are almost fascinated by the pounding rhythm of Anger Foot, a shooter that looks to the past without disdaining the present. It's a shame that Free Lives has decided to implement poorly structured boss fights, which are completely out of place in the general context of the game. Having said that, fans of the genre will certainly find what they want. And for their feet.

A great edition even this year, but EA should now consider to change some components in the formula.

Kickin Momma is a sort of Peggle clone, but appears as a good alternative for more casual players.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is an excellent job. Every aspect of this classic has been improved, with brand new graphics, more voiced dialogues and an impressive number of "quality of life" improvements that streamline and make the entire experience much more enjoyable. The slightly dull color palette and some rather clunky animations are not enough to tarnish the excellent work done by Capcom in making one of the most iconic zombie killers of all time current. Absolutely worth recovering for both veterans and newcomers to the series.

de Blob 2 fails in delivering a solid gameplay experience, due to its plain level design, and gets tedious in the long run. More an experience than a game, but that's not necessarily a good thing.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is an interesting first person melee combat simulation, quite similar to the Mount & Blade series. The game made by Torn Banner Studios is funny and beautiful but doesn't have its own identity.

Untitled Goose Game does not deserve to be played because of its being a "game", but for the coherence of the authors in imagining, creating and pursuing an objective, which however simple and banal shows with strength a vision and a determined will.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a reboot of the series: pace and reactions had toned down for a boost in realism and the "360 degrees pass" system does a great job in involving the player on the pitch. Unfortunately there's a consistent lack in animation quality that spoils the experience.

F1 Manager 2023 is definitely a good product, but the improvements compared to the previous chapter have been more timid than we would have hoped. After laying the foundations with the debut chapter, Frontier has dedicated itself above all to polishing the edges, improving the general quality of life of the experience. The result is a solid title, similar to its predecessor, for better or for worse. The Race Replay and Scenario modes offer an interesting career alternative, but a "my team" mode, a multiplayer sector and the minor playable categories are still missing. That said, the management simulation of F1 Manager 2023 is deep enough and is easily able to give dozens and dozens of hours of fun to all aspiring team principals.

There's no doubt that Rainbow Six Siege tries to offer something new in the competitive FPS genre, and that's something that deserves praise. On the other hand, whatever mode you play in PVE or PVP, what you get is basically the same experience, over and over. The tactics may be interesting, but it's not enough, neither when it comes to unlockables. On top of that, the netcode isn't even nearly refined as the gameplay formula would require.

The fusion of the classical Harvest Moon experience with the elements of the action-based RPGs is the key formula for a game which succeeds in catching the player and keeping his attention. Complexity in the gameplay is an option, not a rule, and Rune Factory: Frontier is one of the best examples, providing solid fun and a rewarding, deep experience. For all those who've never tried the Harvest Moon gameplay it's an occasion not to be wasted.

“To JRPG lovers” is the first sentence we read when starting Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes, testifying to the intentions that moved the developers of Rabbit&Bear Studios Inc.. In fact, the game is an impeccable collection of quotes, ideas, mechanics and plots dating back to various sacred monsters of the genre, also staged with careful artistic direction and truly "in love" with its sources of inspiration. However, despite knowing this, it cannot be denied that even with the same addends a derivative sum was obtained, which does not have the same expressive force and lacks some basic attention to the quality of life, which certainly would not have distorted the product, while making it digestible. to the modern audience. Nonetheless, enthusiasts looking for a nostalgic and deliberately taken-from-another-era experience will have what they want.
