Armored Princess is one of the hidden gems that you can sometimes find in the low budget catalogs. The perfect mix between an RPG and an RTS, is a rare example of terrific game design.

HB Studios have done a good job with the PGA 2K23 adding some new content while improving the gameplay and simulation realism at the same time. The roster features first-rate stars and some global icons such as Michael Jordan and Steph Curry, while the routes included should keep fans busy for quite a while (thanks to the plethora of content produced by its passionate community). TopGolf mode is a great variation on the theme, and online multiplayer is robust albeit lacking in substantial novelties. The graphics sector, on the other hand, can be improved: the quality of the animations and paths is fluctuating and not up to what is achieved by Visual Concepts / 2K with NBA 2K23.

The Raven has the unquenchable charm of a beautiful literary mystery of yesteryear, or those movies where the crime was investigated with a rigor and a composure that much contemporary cinema seems to be abhorring.

New season, new Football Manager: the twentieth episode of the series stands as a watershed between the glorious past and the future. Sports Interactive is preparing to revolutionize the series in the next chapter, which will bring a brand new 3D engine and many other improvements. Contrary to what Sports Interactive says, FM 2024 is not the best episode of the series but it is the worthy closure of a journey that began two decades ago: apart from the expected compatibility with the FM 23 saves, the new features proposed are nothing sensational. However, it still works very well, thanks to many adjustments here and there, small additions (intermediaries and set pieces, for example), better interaction with players and a 3D engine that seems to have reached full maturity. Also available on Game Pass, FM 2024 confirms itself as the usual majestic and encyclopedic management simulation. The sweet football obsession for millions of players.

Marathon is not a game for everyone. The hardcore nature of Bungie’s latest effort creates an experience with a high barrier to entry—one that will drive away anyone unwilling to commit to mastering its intricate mechanics, while conversely trapping everyone else in an endless loop of runs. This specific quirk ensures the game will likely never become a mainstream hit or reach record-breaking levels of popularity; yet, there is no doubt that Bungie’s take on the extraction shooter genre is one of the most compelling titles currently available on the market. Anyone with a visceral love for this subgenre should at least give it a chance—or, to put it more aptly, try going for a run.

Viewfinder thrives on games of perspectives, encounters between photographs and three dimensions, and does not disappoint. The lively graphic style and its playful recipe designed to tease our creativity make it a valid production, perfect for indulging in a not too demanding leisure. The difficulty of the experience is calibrated downwards, yet the four or five hours offered by the exploration of his scenarios - thanks to the joys of the Polaroid - manage to fascinate and surprise.
