The wait was undoubtedly well rewarded, given the results fielded by Wreckfest. A fun arcade racing game, enhanced by a damage system with few equals on consoles and a wide variety of cars, races and tracks. We would have expected some new entries compared to the PC version in circulation for over a year, above all to avoid the risk, in the long run, of a certain repetition in the mechanics of the Career.

Despite presenting the same structural conformation of the episodes published 30 years ago and without trying to correct the slight congenital distortions, Emio, the Smiling Man, offers a story robust and flowing enough to keep players glued for its entire duration, provided that you compromise with an old gameplay concept in which the player's agency is reduced to the minimum terms, and which often results in a banal cycle of trial and error. In any case, this new chapter has once again proven Sakamoto's talent in the narrative field, so if you are passionate about the genre and do not disdain a classic-style visual novel, this is a horror story that you absolutely cannot miss. Who knows, it might even give you an eternal smile.

It's more and more a saga that clings to its hardcore fans: the campaign feels somehow tired and overcomplicated, and the cooperative doesn't add a real challenge to the mix. On the other hand, Treyarch shows once more its unique ability to master the competitive multiplayer and fill it with content, with noteworthy resuslts.

Inspired and captivating, Little Nightmares II fits smoothly and coherently in the wake of its predecessor, intelligently and stylishly expanding the story to a perverse and distressing, yet at the same time almost irresistible, dimension.

Episode Ignis remains a good DLC. While inheriting some problems from the original game, the combat system revisited to adapt to the skills of Ignis is dynamic and pleasant, and the ideas to liven up the progression are not lacking.

The underlying concept is delightful and its application is applause: there is a lot, a lot of inventiveness in the way in which always new and stimulating situations are proposed, daughters of a creative inspiration that embellishes what is still very effectively. a basic play structure, but not for this thin one. It lacks depth, but it is a defect that weighs relatively, because in what it wants to do, celebrating with joy the most fervent imagination, the childish one, is instead fully successful; and with such a transport that it also reaches us who are mature.

Despite boasting an excellent cast of characters (with the exception of Asbel himself) and a combat system second only to the more recent Tales of Arise, during the PS3 era Tales of Graces f was not particularly well received by Western audiences, for reasons that we still struggle to fully understand. Although the remaster added relatively little to the original offering, such as the Japanese dubbing and some quality of life improvements, we are of the opinion that the multiplatform re-release of Tales of Graces f was more than necessary. Sixteen years after its debut on Nintendo Wii (a version never marketed on our side of the globe) and thirteen since the launch of the European edition for PlayStation 3, this time the story, the protagonists, the extraordinary combat system and last but not least the soundtrack of Tales of Graces could realistically win over fans of the genre and of Bandai Namco's franchise, which have also increased thanks to the most recent episodes. If you missed it back then, now is the perfect time to give it (and yourself) a second chance.
