Wildlands certainly offers a challenging and satisfying multiplayer experience: the new game affords the player the chance to choose his personal approach to the missions. Wildlands is also set in an enormous and varied open world in which we can play alone or with our friends.

Ghost of Yotei offers a vast world that compels us to explore, thanks to its incredible visual appeal and a series of simple ideas that effectively ward off the taint of repetitiveness, despite some elements of the offering feeling a bit stuck in the past. Slashing with the Yari, mowing down enemies with dual blades: it's easy to feel like a warrior thirsty for revenge in Sucker Punch's game, which displays genuine attention to all the "important" details and boasts some truly addictive combat. There are stories worth discovering on the map, as well as situations worth experiencing, but unfortunately the plot on which Atsu's journey of revenge is based lacked the courage to dare and some appropriate attention to character development. In any case, a stop in Ezo is a must for fans of Jin Sakai, and in general, anyone looking for a gripping and evocative adventure would do well to take on the role of Onryo.

Despite the obvious limits posed by its undoubtedly derivative nature, devoid of great originality and great qualitative ambitions, the final product works and entertains with an excellent balance between density and vastness.

In the face of a cohesive and long-lasting progression, Ni No Kuni 2 cannot be fully remarkable in all its aspects. From a graphical point of view it is a small artistic miracle, from the narrative one weaves an elementary, frayed and childish weave, which only generates a thrill of emotion only at the end, when it is too late.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, as we were saying, is a nice breath of fresh air for its ability to create a mix between different genres which, in a very simple and linear way, puts us in the shoes of a warrior called to defeat hordes of demons. The union between tower defense and action is rewarded when it seems like you are living two experiences in the same context, with the troops called to follow your orders and you intent on performing a real dance of combat, almost wanting to emulate the movements of Sekiro. In a typically Japanese setting, among demonic creatures that have the aftertaste of Nioh, Capcom manages to create a Mount Kafuku steeped in Japanese tradition, in which all fans of a world that fascinates and continues to surprise will get lost. With greater attention to the narrative component and a greater variety of the environments created we would have truly had a pearl in our hands ready to shine.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a visual modernization conducted with skill, which in graphic terms brings the experience closer to that offered by the sumptuous Horizon Forbidden West. From the appearance of the protagonist, to the rendering of the dialogues with the characters, to the lighting and vegetation, the developers have kept their promises. In other words, those who already wanted to replay Aloy's adventure can spend the 10 euros of the upgrade without problems, while those who want to approach the series for the first time would do well to consider this version of the title. That said, aspects of the gameplay recipe already critical in the original - especially the melee combat and the clashes with humans - clearly show the signs of time. Not at the cost of the enjoyability of the whole, mind you, but they are there in plain sight.

Football Manager 2023 is the natural evolution of last year's edition, and brings with it some innovations aimed at making the gaming experience more comfortable and immediate. The section called the Squad Plan is that tool you don't realize you need until you have it available and when you become familiar with it it is hard to do without it. UEFA licenses add atmosphere to cup matches and market dynamics are increasingly realistic, although still perfectible. Once again, the smallest progress concerns the technical sector, which instead was - and unfortunately remains - the area with the widest room for improvement, but overall this does not undermine an overall judgment, because Football Manager is above all tactics and transfer market and from these points of view continues to be the number one managerial for all fans of the sport to which it is dedicated.

Whether you're a first-time fan of the discipline or are simply curious to explore this fascinating world of extreme speeds and dream machines, RIDE 6 will provide you with enough reasons to strap on your helmet and hit the track.

If you don't have any technical fetishes, the two Metro on Switch are highly recommended.

The result of a troubled development dotted with "accidents along the way", even important ones, such as the change of engine and developer, Granblue Fantasy: Relink may not be the masterpiece that eight years ago it promised to become, but overall it remains an action Adrenaline-filled and addictive RPG like few others. At times chaotic, its frenetic combat system - which at regular intervals offers clashes with titanic beasts which at least in terms of epic nature have nothing to envy of the battles of the PlatinumGames games - proved to be much deeper and more multifaceted than expected, guaranteeing many different approaches to the fight that we are convinced will satisfy any palate. Some of Cygames' choices are not fully convincing, however the product remains an essential purchase for anyone who professes to be a true JRPG enthusiast.

With a development that lasted a good twelve years, it is legitimate to ask whether Harold Halibut is a fully successful operation: what we can tell you is that the work of the German studio has convinced us, thanks to a mature and engaging narrative capable of tackling all sorts of themes. 'nothing but obvious. The hope is that the launch on Game Pass can give the right boost to what is still a niche title, and who knows, Slow Bros. might find itself in its hands with a little gem destined to leave its mark. In a market like that of video games, there is a need more than ever for works like Harold Halibut.

Ultimately, the Silent Hill 2 remake has managed to dispel any doubts we had in our hearts, delivering a product that is respectful of the original and capable of preserving its powerful message. Today, like twenty years ago, we are in the presence of a work capable of crossing the boundaries of the traditional narrative of the medium, touching delicate chords in the souls of the spectators while an unprecedented horror unfolds inexorably before their eyes. If you are a fan of the genre, you have no excuses. The city is waiting for you.

Nioh 2 remains an obligatory purchase for fans of the most hardcore recreational experiences, although we cannot help but hope that a possible sequel will bring much more ambitious ideas into play.

For better or for worse, Day Gone exceeds expectations. Bend Studio focuses heavily on the plot of its latest work, sometimes even at the expense of the gameplay, forced to adapt to the narrative needs of the survival game. Despite this, Days gone is still a very unique experience, thanks to its extremely recognizable personality shining through.

For good reason, we recommend the approach to JRPG fans who if they were lost during the Wii U era: even if some elements of the narrative were not exactly to your liking, we are convinced that the excellent combat system to shifts, so overwhelming and articulate, would still be able to keep you glued for hours on end in front of the screen.

An experience whose moral value probably exceeds the playful one, and whose didactic value manifests itself spontaneously and apparently unconsciously.

The feeling is that Sports Interactive wanted to perfect everything that was already working, trying to put a nice patch on what was wrong and postponing the innovations / revolutions to the post pandemic. It remains, however, the best football managerial simulation on the planet.
