Accessibility is the watchword of F1 23. Codemasters has not limited itself to the homework and has rearranged the driving model to make it less unpredictable and, above all, more suitable for those who do not compete with the wheel and pedals. The return of the Braking Point mode and the renewed F1 World hub add even more substance to an excellent content offer. The graphics/physics engine is starting to show some signs of aging but is still valid. The ups and downs of the AI are unfortunately still part of the experience, but on the other hand the multiplayer sector has been redesigned and should satisfy all players a little. This incarnation is ultimately good: in the future, however, we expect Codemasters to take more clear steps forward for the series.

Too bad for a subdued conclusion, faint as the last spark of a firebrand.

A good expansion with an interesting perspective on the previous campaign. There's a lot of new stuff in Awakening, enough to keep the gamers tied to the screen until the new epic ending. Replayability and character interaction are yet again excellent and return a good new and fresh experience, despite a bad tuning of the main quest that appears to be much easier than the main title even at the hardest difficulty setting.

A great campaign for Hearthstone, one that the fans of the original game really shouldn't miss. It's not cheap, but really adds new hours of pure fun to the experience.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is a must-see for those who grew up on skateboarding (whether enjoyed or played first-hand). It relies on gameplay that hasn't lost its shine, with the exception of a few small uncertainties related to Spine Transfer, and it knows how to create addiction with dozens of selectable skaters and the iconic parks that the guys from Iron Galaxy have given us back in a modernized form. The team has reworked the career of the fourth chapter in a way that isn't entirely convincing, but on the other hand it has offered fans new levels, a fun brand new online mode and secret skaters who are up to the task, all on a more than pleasant audiovisual basis. In short, if you're a fan of Birdman, you love the THPS genre, or you simply want to get closer to the world of skateboarding while paying more attention to the spectacle than the simulation, these great restored games are for you.

I Expect You to Die provides a very strong sense of wonder, a great control system and exciting missions. Its only limitation is the length of the main plot that could be completed just in a couple of hours.

Eastward is not just the dazzling debut title of a very small development studio in Shanghai, just as it is not just a video game that closely resembles the best 2D Zelda in history. Don't call it Zelda-like: not because it's not a formally correct definition but because Pixpil's creature wants to be something more than the classic declaration of love to a title from the past. Eastward is one of the brightest examples of what are the true qualities of independent development: a real pearl that deserves to be discovered, perfectly capable of carving out its space in the niche of instant videogame cult. It is certainly one of the most surprising and impactful experiences of recent years, one of those titles capable of pointing the way to those who will come later.

NBA 2K26 is an improved installment in both graphics and gameplay, both increasingly realistic and engaging. The wealth of modes is undeniable, as is the effort made to make My Career more narrative-driven, the host city more vibrant, and the challenges more tactical and interesting. However, the fact that the experience is complex for newcomers is partly a limitation. This writer believes the series needs to work better on depth, with a more accessible and less punishing gameplay formula. However, if you're a hardcore basketball simulation player, don't worry: NBA 2K26 is a safe haven where you can dock and have fun, challenge other players online, and live out your sporting dream to the fullest. At least until next year.

The adventure offered by A Plague Tale Requiem is a homecoming, an incessant search for a home, a story made up by a collective in love with its characters. Net of the team's unquestionable desire to overcome the first chapter in every sense, adopting courageous and intriguing solutions, the edges are not lacking but such an impressive journey from a visual and narrative point of view certainly deserves to be experienced, especially by those who have already enjoyed the debut of the series.

Tales of Monkey Island: The Lair of the Leviathan is a great game, the best so far out of the five chapters divided in the saga. All small defects found in the predecessors have been filed at least partially if not eliminated. But the real point of reference is the excellent script, spiced by irreverent and entertaining dialogue and memorable characters. Good also is the longevity of each chapter standing on 4-5 hours. Recommended for everyone: old and new gamers.

Florence is a love story, a story that merges videogames and comics, able to give shape to a delicate and poetic narration, but with an overwhelming emotional impact, which leaves you truly speechless: at the end of this short story, you will then find yourself with a lump in the throat that would only want to melt into tears.
