If you've loved titles like Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics, Square Enix's latest effort will captivate you right from the start.

Chocobo GP takes up the speech abandoned by SquareSoft in the late 90s and brings to light the official kart racer dedicated to the Final Fantasy franchise. It revives the concept of Story Mode, expands its roster of characters and makes some changes to the basic idea - introducing an interesting variation of online multiplayer. This, however, is not enough, because the real limits of Chocobo GP are the scarcity of its offer (which will expand in the future) and the sufficiency with which the available circuits have been created. It's okay to be a title aimed primarily at an extremely young audience, but the few and boring tracks are an obvious obstacle to fun and cripple the personality of a game that, at least on paper, could have had its say.

Shadow Warrior 3 isn't quite the game we expected, and on balance, we feel it's a big step back from its two predecessors. Lo Wang's latest adventure is plagued by unparalleled linearity, a cumbersome presence of identical platform stages and a fair amount of technical problems that inevitably affect the gaming experience. To support Shadow Warrior 3 are exclusively the charisma of the protagonist and the frenetic and fun fighting system, although its use is limited by a poor longevity and the total absence of extras that encourage users to return to the game (such as the New Game Plus or a trivial horde mode).

Despite everything, the epic of Ezio Auditore should be approached with a philological spirit and a romantic soul, and we are sure that after all the charm and charisma of the Florentine protagonist will conquer you once again.

Codemasters racing thrives on lights and shadows. To attract the greatest number of players, GRID Legends seems to have partly lost the common thread that had characterized the very good reboot in 2019.

If Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream had been published before the furious revolution unleashed by the two Atelier Ryza, probably some of its imperfections would have seemed little compared to its merits. For some inexplicable reason Gust has in fact preferred to give up all the improvements devised in recent years to re-propose obsolete mechanics that have ended up obscuring the most important innovations of the package, such as Double Actions or the removal of the transitions between battle and exploration. In short, Atelier Sophie 2 confirms itself as a product designed almost exclusively for long-time fans who may not wait to embrace the crazy and at the same time tender bombarole by Kirchen Bell.

We repeat: approach Martha is Dead with the right awareness. It is a work that thrives on illusions, which often changes appearance, which suggests playful stimuli and then moves elsewhere, in a schizophrenia that deceives but involves. It is a cruel game, narratively imperfect, and at the same time quite courageous, as well as not very lenient towards the (very difficult and very delicate) subject it deals with. Get closer to Luca Dalcò's creature knowing that an adventure awaits you where lies and truth move in symbiosis, in a whirlwind of verbal, physical and mental violence. It hurts. Martha is Dead hurts a lot.

Voice of Cards is an operation of an uncertain nature: too little time between one chapter and another, too few changes, too much repetition of the same stumbles. Of course, there are some additions and it shows, in particular as regards the writing, which makes the typical style of Yoko Taro shine better, but exactly as in the previous chapter the game does not allow itself the time necessary to express itself at its best. The cards, at least, are still wonderful.

Lost Ark is a title that thrives on ups and downs, but which manages to entertain the player thanks to a frenetic and rewarding combat system that is in fact the beating heart of this MMORPG.

There is no doubt that those who loved Lone Sails will feel at home wallowing in the wet world of FAR: Changing Tides.

It remains an interesting operation with its own dignity, especially due to the fact that it is an IP that arrived in the West for the first time in 35 years, which is always a moment of discovery and curiosity.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a title that, if taken in small doses, is absolutely capable of pampering and entertaining the admirers of the saga and of the strategic drift undertaken by the Empires vein. However, its combat system is still too immature and repetitive, especially when compared to the achievements of the licensed musou that Omega Force and Koei Tecmo Games have given us in recent years. Thanks to the dated technical sector and the questionable recycling of equally obsolete assets, we find no reason that can justify the publisher's decision to offer it at full price.

GTFO is a concentration of love and wickedness, the merciless manifestation of a concept as inflexible as it is created with care and dedication. Although not all the pieces of the 10 Chambers proposal have yet been filed to perfection, the title does not fail to offer its users a cooperative experience full of personality, fiercely hardcore and stimulating in the most infamous sense of the term. It is certainly not a product for all palates, and it is certainly true that the Swedish studio still has some work to do, but already now GTFO is perfectly able to offer lovers of cooperative shooter with high difficulty rate a valuable mix of anxiety and excitement, fueled by an inflexible playful formula but capable of giving large doses of satisfaction.

Seven years after the launch of Lost Dimension, FuRyu and the Lancarse studio are back on the scene to impress JRPG fans with dark-hued tactics. Although the influence of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona 5 in particular is evident on the narrative level, MONARK has won us over with a dramatic, crazy and sometimes brutal story, as well as able to make us reflect on the most hidden and primitive desires of mankind. So put aside any skepticism related to the almost unknown name of the Japanese developer and let yourself be overwhelmed by MONARK's excellent turn-based combat system: you'll go crazy!

If the rich, dramatic and engaging intertwining, and the ingenious turn-based combat system with a strong tactical component could abundantly satisfy the palates of fans of the genre, the technical backwardness is attributable as much to the low budget available to the transalpine studio as to the years delays that this has accumulated during development, however, risk obscuring what is good in Edge of Eternity.

Total War: Warhammer III is a rich title, full of deep mechanics and that will keep you glued to the screen for dozens of hours, prey to the classic mantra "another turn and then cut". The strategic proposal of the Creative Assembly guys requires dedication and patience, especially if you are new to the saga, but once you have fully understood the mechanics you will find yourself a playful experience capable of offering large doses of satisfaction. With an effective formula consistent with the standards of the series, supported by a highly respected graphics sector, the latest work by the English studio therefore proves to live up to expectations, as well as fully supporting the heavy legacy of the Warhammer brand.

As Zero Dawn's natural evolution, Horizon Forbidden West accomplishes what a sequel should achieve: reaching new heights. Guerrilla Games builds a great world, perfecting every aspect of the first episode.

The King of Fighters XV is a fun, deep fighting game with a promising online infrastructure. The proposal would certainly have deserved greater attention on the content front, both in terms of story mode and tutorials, but the overall result still has all the credentials to offer fans a more than pleasant experience. This is mainly due to the merits of a solid gameplay that respects the canons of the series, with changes that do not alter the historical soul much. We would certainly have appreciated a few more interventions, for example as regards the holds, but we are sure that the result will still be able to offer fans a good concert of satisfactions.

The curtain falls on the Far Cry 6 Season Pass, and not in the best way.

Wanting to think of a comparison that is not too bold, it could be argued that Sifu is literally like a diamond: shining, very hard and obviously not within anyone's reach.

Circuit Superstars is not a masterpiece but it is a game that has a certain charm. The fleet is truly impressive, the driving system is surprisingly demanding, the graphic style is pleasant, the local multiplayer is hilarious: what's missing? A little bit of variety. After a couple of hours of play the initial enthusiasm drops as well as the replayability factor. We would need new game modes and an AI capable of livening up single player races, as well as a few more options for online multiplayer. The game is sold at a budget price (20 euros): in company it is absolutely worth the purchase.

Olliolli World is a promise kept. A game dedicated to skate that embraces every aspect of street culture in a perfect blend of Platform, Rythm Game and heart-pounding Arcade. The biggest news is in having finally discovered the third dimension, lighting that has led to a crazy level design in its intricate simplicity, the real keystone of a title that makes inclusion its watchword. One of the best titles on the market, perfect both for those who want to be obsessed with the execution of the perfect combo in each stage, and for those who need a "different" title to disconnect from the wear and tear (even videogame) of modern life.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is a title that struggles to bear the weight of its ambitions, as a result of a development path that in all probability proved to be more bumpy than expected.

More of a questionable game of slaughter than a thoughtful critique of the phenomenon, which ends up being disturbing for the wrong reasons.

Pokémon Legends Arceus is exactly what it promised to be: a new frontier for the series. Like all experiments, however, the title has room for improvement and on a technical level it shows more than one lack. With "Legends", Pokémon tries to get out of its comfort zone and if the result is sometimes edgy and in some ways less stable than the other main works, the many targets hit - combined with the many wishes of the fans finally fulfilled - can only lead to a promotion of Game Freak's work. On the march towards Monte Corona!
