Those of you who put in the time and effort needed will have a lot to gain from Rocksmith. Not just high scores, but the feeling of actually learning to play an instrument.

If you're in the mood for some brain dead action and have a good friend to share it with - Serious Sam 3: BFE can be fun. As a single player experience it gets very monotonous after a while.

More a missed opportunity than anything else, The Unfinished Swan is a pleasant fairytale story with a some good ideas and one or two magic moments. In the end though it is easy to come away with the feeling that this was a brief and very linear experience that just hinted at something that could have been truly great.

It's hard to find negative things to write about Forza Horizon. It certainly is a different experience compared to Forza Motorsport 4, but that doesn't mean it's not as good. The spotless presentation and the enormous amount of things to do makes this one of the finest racing games I've ever played.

It's hard to argue that you won't get value for your money given the amount of content in the game, but as it stands today I can only recommend it for the hardcore fans of the mobile versions. The rest of you can wait until the price drops.

A fighting game without multiplayer or storytelling that makes sense without reading 42 mangas can't be seen as an finished product and should definitely not be sold for full price. This game is only for fans.

War of the Roses takes on the genre of multiplayer war-games with a new and exciting setting. The game manages to capture frantic melee-battles of the 15th century very well and the combat feels solid and deep. Lots of weapons and armor make up for a lack of game modes and maps, but hopefully there will be more content added to this already interesting title.

Skylanders: Giants makes the beloved franchise bigger than ever. There are more Skylanders, bigger Skylanders and more game content than ever. While it doesn't do anything to break the mold, it's a really good game for children and parents alike.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins offers two great fighting experiences with mechanics that hold up even today. It might stand in the shadows of the sequels, but for those of you who want to see what it looked like the first time Gambit beat up Mega Man, you can't go wrong with this game.

Beneath the oversexualized surface with bouncing breasts and moaning girls, we can find one of this generation's best fighting games, no matter if you're new or old to the concept. Team Ninja has enhanced the mechanics in every single detail and it hasn't felt this good to counter-attack a well-placed punch as in this game. The really new stuff may seem to be few at the beginning, but they will have a strong impact when you have learned the difference.

Of Orcs and Men aims to twist the roles around – the human empire is the big, bad beast. Arkail, the most badass of Orcs accompanied by the Styx, the talkative, Tourette-stricken goblin is on a desperate quest to stop the human empire for eliminating their races. What I really like is that the action-focused role-playing game becomes more of a buddy movie with some really good set pieces and dialogue. It's not perfect, but Of Orcs and Men delivers a thought-provoking twist on classic fantasy plots.

Just Dance 4 is the obvious choice when you feel like you want a party game to play with your friends. It has developed a lot since last time, the songs are really good and its choreography is very entertaining and easy to pick up. Dance Central has to look out.

Torchlight II manages to improve on its predecessor in every way and the result is a true gem of gaming fun. It manages to keep a very addictive pace throughout its campaign and then lets us dwell in endless amounts of randomized content if we wish, and most likely we do. The love and passion that has gone in to creating the game shines through in so many ways that it next to impossible not to be engulfed by it. Definitely recommended for anyone who has even the slightest interest in the genre.

Arkane deserves an applause just for trying this broad approach of choice, and when both design and playability builds an excellent synergy I can't do anything but to bow down to for being probably the best game this fall.

Firaxis has made an absolutely wonderful modernization of a classic strategy game. The deep and evolving gameplay is among the best I've experienced in a game like this, along with the fact that everything feels extremely polished and crafted with a a great deal of love for both the genre and the original game.

Almost a perfect football game with a deep and very entertaining career mode, both on the pitch and on the sideline. A somewhat broken commentary track, at times weird AI and online modes that brings more hang-ups than joy stands in the way of a perfect score.

A fall forward as Konami introduces a new indicator for manual passing and shooting. Long distance screamers in the top corner are a bit easy to pull off and slide tackles are too often penalized. Pro Evolution isn't bad, it's just second best.

Borderlands 2 is a very safe and familiar sequel, which of course is both a good and a bad thing. The shooting and looting is still fantastic but the frequent load times and poor story also remains as obvious low points. The result is a really good, but not great, second game in the series.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is a point and click-adventure, cast in a modern third person adventure, featuring the greatest detective of them all. Through a wild adventure through the rougher parts of London, an immense conspiracy needs to be cracked open. With decent atmosphere, a real page-turner of a story and clever puzzles, this is a must for fans of Sherlock Holmes or classic adventure games.

Capcom offers an abundance of content. Some of it good, some less good. If you and a buddy take on this game at a very calm pace, it will give you loads of entertainment. If you only want the really good parts – play the Leon and Ada campaigns.

F1 2012 is racing at its finest and it successfully manages to be a serious simulation and available for new players at the same time. Those who take the time to understand the games mechanics will be rewarded with one of the best racing games of this generation.

It's sad to see a pretty promising premise stumble and fall on the implementation like Secret Files 3 does. There is some potential in the story especially if you're interested in historical events and conspiracies, but it feels like the game loses its focus and doesn't know where it wants to go.

Joe Danger 2: The Movie is an extremely fun and entertaining game, but at the same time it shows that more isn't always better. Joe Danger is an amazing game - the sequel has to settle for being really good.

Guild Wars 2 is a breath of fresh air in a genre that has had a hard time coming up with different ways of doing things. The world of Tyria is absolutely beautiful and the combat and adventuring is among the very best in the genre.

Starvoid manages to offer that quick and sweet multiplayer-RTS fix for those of us that lack the time or dedication to go for the more hardcore alternatives. What it lacks in game modes and levels, it compensates for with a deep customization system, but what seems to be a very small player base may in the end render the game more void than starlike.

A big stumble forward as the new and greatly improved skating is slightly crippled by physics engine being slightly off. Smarter goalies and better stick checking makes for an improved defense, but not on behalf of goal scoring. Be a GM Connected is the real revolution and could render the looming lockout just a shrug.

LittleBigPlanet Vita is in itself a reason to buy a PS Vita - it's that good! The only obstacle on the way to complete success is whether Sony has managed to sell enough systems to make it a super hit among gamers.

Tokyo Jungle is an interesting wild-life simulator in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, void of humans. Choosing one of the many animal races available, the race is on to take over territories, form a flock and survive the dangers of the urban jungle. It's a nice concept that unfortunately falls a bit flat due to its inherent repetitiveness – eat food, procreate, eat more food, take over more territories. But in smaller doses, it will deliver unique and interesting experiences.
