TheGreat Perhaps sounds like a missed opportunity to deliver a truly enjoyable and unique piece of adventure.

This deluxe edition of the original masterpiece stops inches from perfection due to some minor minor flaws, but it surely will be remembered as one of the best JRPG ever made.

The Sojourn is a journey. A journey within ourselves, through our light, our darkness and every aspect of our personal development. A shard as this journey can be, the game guides us trough every little step in a way we desire to discover.

As an HD lifting is not enough to hide the passage of time, the craziness of Metal Wolf Chaos XD is not enough to hide its poor gameplay.

Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones is a classic point and click with strategic elements. A great game for all those who love Lovecraftian literature and an interesting discovery for neophytes.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a great remake, which makes loyalty and technical modernization its best points. With the exception of some minor slowdowns, we do not find drawbacks in a revival that pays tribute effectively, even today, to a historical chapter.

Visually striking and filled with a lot of interesting lore bits, Blasphemous is a competent action/platform with a pinch of souls-like and metroidvania mechanics. A brutal and well executed adventure with some flaws gameplaywise and a quality level with several ups and downs.

Although it might seem a simple more of the same, Borderlands 3 is the maximum expression of what the brand represents: massacres, loot and pure mayhem. Some flaws in technic and storytelling prevent the game from getting a better score.

The Church in the Darkness is a nice narrative idea wrapped in a terribly shoddy gameplay that you will experience, in its entirety, in around 15 minutes. Come for the story, get away, fast, because of the gameplay.

A Short Hike is a small jewel that has already conquered the hearts of dozens of players who, like Claire and Adam Robinson-Yu himself, felt the need to detach themselves from the daily routine of their their life, with a little break without commitments or deadlines.

Considering the limited budget and labor force, Daymare 1998 is beyond doubt an incredible job carried out by an Italian team as passionate as it is talented. One wonders, though, if a similar project could shine its own light or is destined to remain a satellite of Capcom's famous horror saga, given how the very heavy all-round inspiration is often accompanied by a mediocre polishing and balancing of the gameplay.

eFootball PES 2020 provides a smooth gameplay and a gorgeous presentation. Online and offline modes are not the best in town, but on the pitch this could be the best football experience this year.

The best installment in the Bigben-Kylotonn WRC era has come a little late to the party, but it makes a great founding stone to build a brighter future for the franchise, solving most if not all of the driving and physics issues.

Greedfall is overall an action RPG open world that lacks in originality. Overall it's a well crafted game, but is marred by atrocious dialogues.

It's time to give a verdict, and Gears 5 is not simply one of the best titles of this generation. It's also one of the best chapters of the series. It fully captures the spirit of the brand and expands its formula, bringing it to its maximum expression. Rod Fergusson, TheCoalition, congratulations, you did it.

Knights and Bikes is a co-op-focused action adventure with the core of a classic. The level design is smart and accessible to everyone, and the overall execution is just wonderful. Apart from its childish premises and some pacing issues, this game manages to tell a good, genuine story, like an old ‘80s movie.

Astral Chain is a cyberpunk action-adventure game developed by Platinum Games for Nintendo Switch. This game takes the best ideas behind previous Platinum games and mixes them in a crafty way, injecting all of them in a new concept that links the player to a creature through a chain. A compelling story and a beautiful character design make the rest, even if the level design and the progression system fall short, and this is the biggest downside.
