MX vs ATV is a nice offroad game. The dynamic ground morphing system works really well, and is an important factor to study during every race. The weight management really gives the sensation of being in control of the motorbike. Thumbs down for the PS3 version, worse than the 360 one due to some graphic problems (pop-up e slow loading textures).

Gravity Crash is undeniably a well refined product: the graphics are derivative but amazing, the soundtrack is atmospheric and the whole package surely works. Yet the addictive "last one before i quit" factor, that's so typical of the great arcade classics, is kinda missing here, and the result is a game that will entertain you without making you go crazy. It's not an Apollo 13, but neither a big step for the retro-humanity.

King Arthur is a good alternative to Total War games: well structured, it includes some interesting ideas as heroes and their quests, or the dynamic seasons. Despite its non optimally balanced troops and the lack of multiplayer campaign, the quality of King Arthur and its low price will surely prove to be attractive.

Assassin's Creed 2 has more variety than its prequel, and it's a great gaming experience. Despite a graphics engine which is good but that no longer represents the cutting edge, the real difference is now the storyline and the gameplay. Ubisoft has listened to what people were asking for, and we are now in front of what Assassin's Creed was supposed to be.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is an entertaining on rails-shooter that will wind Biohazard fans in a vortex of fun and nostalgia. If you live for Resident Evil just go for it, but if you're searching for the best exponent of the genre, Dead Space: Extraction is always the best in its genre.

Unpredictable, funny and extremely enjoyable with friends, Left 4 Dead 2 overtake pretty well the previous title. Easily one of the best multiplayer games out there at the moment.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2 is not a bad game: what worked yesterday is still working today, yet the formula is starting to be a little abused and tiring. The Indy theme paired with the iconic colored blocks might still win some hearts, but for the future significant innovations are really needed.

Undoubtedly, Ezio Auditore is a better assassin than his predecessor, but Discovery is just a pretty, short platform game. Nothing else.

While the execution is undoubtedly impressive, the idea behind it is not that strong: why should anyone prefer LittleBigPlanet PSP over the PS3 version, choosing the very same game with some unavoidable compromises regarding the editor? That's frankly hard to say, the real impasse here is mainly conceptual.

F1 2009 is an honest and pleasant game (yet with evident and avoidable flaws), but unluckily not the magnificent comeback fans were waiting for. Hopefully we'll see something a little more refined and meaty in 2010.

Nothing to object (save the anachronistic lack of the online multiplayer): Nintendo has created once again a magnificent product, an amazing party game with no barriers to entry nor annoying distinctions between casual and hardcore players. Prepare your Wiimotes and invite your friends: the legendary plumber is back with an old school adventure you won't easily forget.

Modern Warfare 2 is the perfect example of a great sequel for a great game. This awesome first person shooter has a short but exciting story and one of the best multiplayer in the console market. The new mode, called Special Ops., is perfect to co-op with a friend for short and fantastic game sessions.

Apart from a few technical issues and a gameplay that might be hard to master for many, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition proves to be a good product, whose qualities, very similar to the PS3, Xbox 360 e PC versions, will surely guarantee hours of fun to the whole Wii user base.

Shattered Horizon is an original product that proves to be very different from the majority of the more traditional multiplayer shooters on the market, but beyond its fascinating concept, it's impossible to ignore its lack of content that currently narrows down the variety of the experience. There is however substantial room for improvement upon which Futuremark will hopefully decide to build.

The latest edition of Pro Evolution Soccer tries to show something new but, in the end, there are no major improvements. The 'new engine' looks the same as the one of the past edition, while many animations that were to be fixed since ages are unfortunately still there. The only interesting options are the new 'sliding' tactics and the skill cards to apply to each player. In the end it's a good soccer game, but FIFA 10 is on an upper level.

From now on, to play the best GDR available you don't have any longer to play with Baldur's Gate: place your copy among the finest pieces of your collection and enjoy this great game that, despite some ugly textures and those finishing touches you will soon forget not to see, will keep you in front of the screen for a very long time.

Band Hero is a product that doesn't add any relevant feature to the usual ones available in the Guitar Hero series, whose main difference is the audience it targets, less alternative and more oriented to radio hits or MTV’s videos. We must stress, however, that the game is sold at full price and that is released only two months after Guitar Hero 5, which make this product definitely less glamorous than expected.

Despite some radical style changes for what concerns storyline and mission structure, The Ballad of Gay Tony doesn’t fail our expectations, proving to be an engaging, unpredictable and funny DLC that will undoubtedly assure hours of all-out action to anyone willing to visit Liberty City once more. As for GTA IV, we really couldn’t ask for a better conclusion.

This game looks old both graphically and for his gameplay. The Campaign mode is slow paced and looks boring after a couple of minutes, but it is necessary to play trough the entire story to unlock characters' videos and stories. The online experience is ruined by constant lag. If you LOVE Tekken, you'll like this game even for the offline multiplayer only, but other ways looks for a better beat'em up.

I've been long thinking what score to assign to DJ Hero, and the final result is a heated 8, that has to sound as an encouragement for the sequel that Activision Blizzard will probably produce. It will just be a matter of improving the single player and multiplayer modes, and to correct some mistakes typical of a product at its beginning, to easily score that 9 that is very easy to reach.

Turn 10 did it again. Forza Motorsport 3 is a nearly perfect title, able to improve what Forza 2 did. The quality of the experience is at the top both for gameplay and contents and there is no other racing game at this level actually on the market. If you're looking for a masterpiece right now to put in your collection, Forza 3 is the answer for your prayers.

I'd love to say that Fairytale Fights is an hack'n slash you shouldn't miss: the style is just adorable and I really like the attitude of these psychopathic fairy tales. Yet this is a game that looks far better than how it plays, and still without considering its evident flaws the full price makes it hard to recommend it even to fans of the genre: sorry but there will be no happy ending, this time.
