Defense Grid 2 doesn’t redefine the tower defense genre, but it’s well made and offers the most complete package of its kind.

Galak-Z is a spectacular and fun shooter that perfectly mimics the mecha anime genre. Conceived to be a tough roguelike challenge, the game delivers an interesting gameplay mix of spaceship and mech combat.

A good union between FPS and RPG, Borderlands is both deep and entertaining, with a perfect multiplayer option. The RPG elements are well implemented in a classic FPS action, and everything works in a very good way. The huge world could be boring after 30 hours, and the character design is not the most balanced in the world, anyway Borderlands will be the game of the year for a huge number of gamers.

The sixth installment in the Yakuza franchise diligently completes its task: it brings the series to a new dawn of modernity and allows the fans to say goodbye to the legendary Dragon of Dojima. Even with some small flaws in the script and less epic boss figths, The Song of Life is a thrilling experience and one worth buying.

Lost Horizon is the final stage in the development of adventure games; it's not an original game but it gives a realistic sense of wonder, recalling Indiana Jones and his adventures.

The turn-based combat system is deep and well-managed, though not immediately intuitive and easy. However, the title is not free from technical defects due to some clipping problems, which do not spoil the experience.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is not like Convinction, changing many of the good ideas of his predecessor in favor of other, more mainstream gameplay mechanics. Anyway, the game is fun and even exciting if you’re feeling inclined to the usual spy movie plots.

Some technology issues and a few uncertain design choices, many of which were already in Little King's Story, weigh a bit in last Konami's IP. But after all, New Little King's Story is deep in its mechanics, nice and very long. Merging an RPG with a RTS isn't easy, but the final result is commendable. Hail to the Little King!

Yakuza 4 is a beautiful game partially spoiled by really old gameplay mechanics. The combat system is still cool and reactive, and the new characters add great value to the experience.

Steel Rats is a title that we want to promote, thanks to a successful hybridization of playing styles that are not too simple to match and an immediate, amusing and at the same time varied and satisfying play structure. The smudging of the title is mainly linked to an excessively minimal narrative segment and to a sometimes ineffective sense of progression. Nonetheless, these are rather marginal aspects in the calculation of such an immediate, frenetic and enjoyable experience.

Considering the quality of its base concept and the welcome innovations that shift the fulcrum of the game to a more action oriented experience, The Sims: Medieval proves to be a well crafted spin-off that could actually represent the first step towards the long-awaited evolution of the series.

Skate 3 is the perfect evolution of this brand. While the single player experience is as good as the Skate 2 one, the multiplayer is a huge improvement for the Black Box game. The brand new community system is as good as the one in Forza 3, and is a great addiction for this fantastic skateboarding experience.

A nice multiplayer game. The single player Campaign can be kinda boring due to the lack of intensity. The multiplayer modes, on the contrary, can be really funny and interesting to play with. If you're looking for a different kind of multiplayer experience, you should try this game.
