I wish it had gone for more stuff, particularly given the power of the Xbox (like how about highly destructive environments, instead of blasting the odd box?), and given that House of the Dead II is probably the better game. But hey, why complain when you get two games in one?

The graphics are no longer fresh, killing people is just bloody, not inventive, the cut scenes are long and uninteresting, and the story isn't nearly as strong or complicated as the plot of the "Soul Reaver" games.

Unlike every other game in the known universe (and three or four from a small developer based in 7-Space), you can't turn off the game's forgettable music, which alas drowns out the game's weapon and engine effects.

Since the X universe limits you to mostly trade and price tracking, X starts to feel like "Excel in Space" only with better graphics than the Microsoft game. Eventually, X’s lack of depth creates a game of commuting, which kills off your urgency to see the main story come to a conclusion.
