Anodyne is a surreal adventure that will not hold your hand and tell you where to go and what to do. It is about exploring and discovering for yourself, and it takes a certain type of player to truly embrace that.- Digital Spy

Nostalgic fans of the 1999 original will get a much-welcomed visual overhaul in Colin McRae Rally. Racing games have come a long way since then though, and this rally racer just doesn't keep up with what else the iPhone and iPad have to offer.- Digital Spy

To the game's credit, the new visual style is the best that the original Contra has ever looked. Had Contra: Evolution been released as a downloadable game on a console or handheld with proper buttons, it might actually be a decent game. But Contra: Evolution is not a decent game. It isn't even close.- Digital Spy

Deadpool is far from a bad game, yet the developers' over-reliance on the appeal of the source material means it rarely shoots for the stars.- Digital Spy

New Super Luigi U doesn't necessarily improve on New Super Mario Bros. U, and we wouldn't recommend it for those who didn't get on with the original. As an expansion for a Wii U launch game that might be gathering dust, however, New Super Luigi U introduces lots of wonderful levels and an increased challenge.- Digital Spy

Each dungeon has its own theme and unique enemies, but once you learn the enemy patterns there is little incentive to go back through one you've already completed. Even the infinite dungeon recycles enemies from the rest of the game, making Deep Dungeons of Doom a fleeting but fun mobile adventure.- Digital Spy

Either way, Where's My Mickey? manages to add both new puzzles and a much-needed dose of classic Disney charm, turning it into a game that can stand on its own instead of simply being another Where's My Water? expansion pack.- Digital Spy

Despite its dozen games and side activities, Game & Wario lacks any of the depth in design of something like Nintendo Land, which offers rich multiplayer experiences that really grab the attention of everyone around you.- Digital Spy

Company of Heroes 2 is a worthy sequel to a classic RTS, honoring its roots and handling its subject matter with the utmost respect. There are times when it will feel very familiar to series veterans, but sticking to your guns is no bad thing when they have never let you down in the past.- Digital Spy

Your mileage will depend on the friends you have to play it with, but if you're looking for a word game alternative to Zynga's With Friends series, Beejumbled makes for a great alternative with a bit more personality.- Digital Spy

Where Kingdom Rush Frontiers really succeeds is its variety though. The sense of monotony that often plagues tower defense games never sets in, with tons of variety both in settings and enemy types so that you're always facing some fresh challenge.- Digital Spy

Marvel Heroes won't win any prizes for originality, but it is an extremely fun game in its own right that makes effective use of the license at its disposal, and it's always refreshing to encounter a free-to-play title that is intended to be precisely that.- Digital Spy

After Earth is par for the course as far as auto-runner games are concerned. It makes a few additions to the basic formula, but those additions either make little impact or don't always work the way they are intended.- Digital Spy

Even with imperfect controls, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is an absolute classic and every bit as worth playing as it was ten years ago. The best experience will still be the PC or Mac version with a keyboard and mouse, but the iPad port is still a worthy addition to the game's legacy.- Digital Spy

With a hauntingly beautiful game world, stunning visuals, and a wide variety of ways in which players can approach combat, The Last of Us is another exceptional game from the team at Naughty Dog...However, it's the studio's ability to make this past-pandemic world and its contrasting cast of characters feel so believable and credible that really makes The Last of Us stand out from its peers.- Digital Spy

The combo system makes it a unique spin on the Flight Control formula, so that climbing the leaderboards takes some skill along with endurance.
