If you’re after a challenge, PDC 2008 isn’t going to disappoint you; getting good at the game is almost akin to getting good at the real thing.

Hurry Up Hedgehog! is a nice little board game adaptation that offers some fun and challenge, but without a more expanded single player mode it's difficult to wholly recommend, unless you have some friends that enjoy the game too that can engage you in rounds of pit-abuse-based multiplayer.

An addictive soundtrack, plenty of brain-teasing puzzles and a gripping story packed full of twists and humorous moments help make Suda-san's title a must-try.

Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward is an unfortunate game. It begins well enough by luring you in with a simple yet satisfying mechanic, but eventually breaks down into an overly frustrating and repetitive slog as complexity and difficulty increases but the rewards do not.

I'd like to think that Hysteria Hospital's creation was all a ploy to highlight the troubles of overworked nurses everywhere, but that's probably not the case. Instead, it's a pretty decent, and mildly addictive, game that could have been much better - losing the repetition would have been a good start.

There's not a thing out there like it, the spread of genres it employs complement each other well, and it's the sort of game that could be played anywhere from a children's party to a post-pub gathering.

For the most part the touch screen provides a great interface for constructing buildings and managing units. Unfortunately, poor path finding and AI tarnishes the experience and adds a great deal of frustration to the mix.

The fact that this is one of the first titles to use MotionPlus shows badly. At times it feels at best poorly implemented and at other points it just feels like it has been tacked on as an afterthought.

Career mode really needs alterations for the next version, as the repetitive nature of progression is just not fun.

A really good first attempt at using Wii MotionPlus and a genuinely enjoyable experience. Whilst it might have a few flaws in terms of gameplay and it does look decidedly rubbish, the basic game is very good with some surprising subtleties.

It successfully compresses the real-time strategy formula into a two-dimensional, side-scrolling game without losing so much strategic depth that it becomes a simple action game.

Bash Party may become repetitive for some over time, but it does prove to be a far better package overall, offering a wealth of gameplay for those that get hooked by the formula.

There's plenty here for series veterans to enjoy, but the merciless complexity of the AI will intimidate newcomers.

Challenge Me: Brain Puzzles never pretends to be anything more than a bare-bones package offering up a wealth of Picross and Sudoku puzzles, which definitely works in its favour, as gamers know exactly what they are getting - 1,000 brain-taxing teasers to help wile the time away, whilst flexing that oh-so-important muscle, the brain.

Punch Out works due to the tight mix of concise, simple gameplay that has not grown stale despite being over two decades old, a superb slapstick sense of humour, a style that matches it perfectly and because it caters to everybody without being detrimental to anybody on the control front.

Consisting only of two incredibly limited modes, neither of which particularly suited to any age group, and featuring little else, Maths Workout is a hard sell to recommend over that of other notable number-featuring brain ticklers like Brain Training or Professor Layton.

Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball plugs a gap in videogaming's sports selection, and provides a fun, if sparse, game in the process.

Klonoa doesn't make amazing nor innovative use of the Wii's control capabilities, yet it is a shining example of how the bare minimum of pad usage can still create an excellent game.

One of the better movie-based games, and one that packs in a lot of variety, even if it does feel somewhat-limited in parts.

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat was an instant classic when it arrived on the GameCube and now, complete with its impressive new control scheme and welcomed extras, it shines bright amongst a plethora of average Wii titles.

Nintendo strikes gold once again, albeit with a quick (but by no means dirty) port of an old favourite. Paper Plane is the simplest of ideas executed almost perfectly.

Platform Jumper doesn't bring anything remotely new to the table, nor use the Wii's controller to the fullest, but it does provide a fun platformer for the younger crowd to get started with, and the rest of us to enjoy for a few hours.

Rhythm Paradise is one of those games that makes you grin unwittingly. A lovable bunch of characters, a top notch sound track and addictive gameplay all blend together to create a game that, if you're a fan of music games or anything slightly off-centre, must be experienced.

Therefore, whilst admittedly still lots of fun on the whole, the overall experience is somewhat lacking and ends up feeling quite shallow.

Puzzle fans really should not miss out.

People may scoff at the idea of Nintendo regurgitating a small idea from a previous retail release, yet for 200 Points Pyoro proves to be one of the most addictive action puzzle titles on the already impressive DSiWare download service.

You don't have to figure out too much, but it's a twenty hour long story, so it should keep you going for a bit if you can put up with the confusing storyline and translation issues.

Excellent pointer controls, iffy motion controls, and a script and setting that meshes together old and new sounds great on paper/screen, but shelling out 40 pounds for it will leave you feeling short-changed.
